I think you need to set your timezone to tokyo!
best solution is an old system (which I have kept mine, it's totally japanese now)
second best is a virtual machine, since we are pirate it's free

and there is locale emulator

Anyone perhaps have an idea how to actually translate the game? The script can be found easily within the game's files; file called "MPEN.SD" but as soon as a single character is added to that file, the game crashes on start-up.

yea no its not, playing plenty of h games in jap and have had to to use different methods to get them to work both listed above don't work for this game. literally changed everything to japanese, keyboard, time location ect. And I use jap emulator all the time and it works for basically every other game but this one and two other games from the same company
