In the last part of the desert area, just before the boss, there is a platform where a scientist kiddo will be standing at. There is a invisible wall there, and you can cross it and go up to find the NPC with that scene.
Fun fact: I cleared the game, but didn't knew how to save it (and I still don't know, lol).

I'm having a tough time getting past the giant worm-like boss in stage 3. It's tough because I need to be in range to hit him, but he's always bumping into me or charging at me. I can't seem to stay far enough away to avoid taking damage while still making contact with him. Does anyone have any tips/tricks for this fight?
