Because the game is bugged as fuck.
You'll have to figure it out by trial and error,- Alt-Enter, Alt-Tab, Changing Options, Resetting the Game... Good luck.

From what I know certain files will just get flagged with VIRUS by this site but it's almost always a false positive, if virustotal says it's fine it's fine.
