While I can understand what Dark Hero Party is about, Imos and Lotia relationship was downright nonsensical under scrutiny with numerous things like her logic not adding up. Calling it misunderstood is being generous.

There is no reason ever given for Lothia to trust Thrash aka Trash, he is blackmailing her the whole time. Yet by the end of the game she is his willing lover because the sex is that good? What worse is she did was not seek out help from the Prince, Aina or Lotia to at least Try to change the situation.
Lothia believed a prostitute, over the person she knew since childhood, that lives in the town of the man who tried to **** her AND listen to the man who tried to drug her by giving HIM, of all ppl, the benefit of the doubt was completely insane. Add to that the fact that the prostitute made her see the man she claimed she loved as less of a man because he wasnt given special powers.
Lothia never found it strange about the events that took place concerning the poison considering Imos did not have any pharmaceutical skills, hes been scrubbing toilets for months, where did he have time to do all of this? Challenging Thrash, a known coniving thug, piliger to a sex battle...really?
That doesn't even take into consideration Imos, who had every chance to counter everything Lothia said because everything she said was contradicted by all the people around her. Or why Imos doesn't consider Lothia a lost cause when she refuses to listen to anything he has to say.

End of spoilers
Sorry, not buying it, I've played plenty of NTR game where the love interest cheats with another guy, and when it's done right, it can be really interesting. However, that requires a little more thought process, as why someone would do this.
Even the developers were pretty self aware about how stupid they made Lothia just to get the story to function.
I'm ok with dark stories and NTR. I'm not ok when the story is bent towards a dark direction without logic/reasoning. Tons of characters act out of character just to push a theme. The only excuse they can make plot wise is if the dragons themselves are influencing every character slightly. It's just dark for the sake of being dark.
I do agree with you EdenGenesis that Mind Luda, is one of the best NTR games I’ve ever played. However, thankfully it's nothing like Dark Hero Party. Mind Luda has a well craft story and they took the time and effort to explain why Segi is the way she is. Plus you get the choice if she will fall or survive, which mean you get the best of both darkness and light.

You raise some valid points about the story, and it’s clear that
Dark Hero Party has left many players divided over the motivations and logic of its characters, particularly Lothia. Let me try to address your concerns and provide context for the events in the game:
1. Lothia’s Trust in Thrash
On the surface, Lothia’s trust in Thrash seems irrational, but her decisions stem from multiple layers of manipulation and external pressure. Thrash doesn’t just blackmail her—he uses psychological and emotional tactics to break her down.
- The Celestial Dragons’ Influence: The dragons, including the one that empowers Lothia, are inherently corrupt. They manipulate her emotions and sense of duty, making her believe that submitting to Thrash, the "designated hero", is the only way to save the world. This divine influence skews her reasoning and drives many of her actions.
- Gaslighting and Isolation: Thrash gradually corrupts Lothia using aphrodisiacs created by the MC’s sister. Over time, this undermines her ability to think clearly, making her more susceptible to his narrative.
While the game doesn’t always make this explicit, the combination of divine manipulation and Thrash’s psychological tactics creates a situation where Lothia feels trapped, even if her actions seem illogical to players.
2. The Prostitute’s Role and Lothia’s Perception of Imos
One of the most frustrating aspects is how Lothia believes the prostitute’s words over Imos, someone she’s known since childhood. However, this reflects Lothia’s fears and insecurities, exacerbated by the growing power imbalance between them.
- Imos’ Perceived Weakness: The prostitute plants the idea that Imos will always feel inferior to Lothia because of her powers. This resonates with Lothia, who subconsciously starts to doubt their relationship.
- The Hero Narrative: Thrash is framed as the "true hero", someone who can fulfill Lothia’s duty to save the world. The prostitute reinforces this idea, aligning with Thrash’s manipulation and pushing Lothia further away from Imos.
Lothia’s willingness to believe these lies highlights her crumbling resolve under immense pressure, even if it’s frustrating to watch as a player.
3. The Poisoning Incident and Lack of Investigation
Lothia’s failure to question the poisoning incident is another contentious point. However, there are reasons why she might not investigate further:
- Thrash’s Deception: Thrash cleverly frames Imos by using the MC’s sister’s concoctions. Lothia, already doubting Imos, finds this believable.
- Imos’ Silence: Imos, while given opportunities to defend himself, often hesitates. His lack of confidence and feelings of rejection prevent him from effectively countering the accusations.
While this might feel like a missed opportunity for character development, it reflects the growing divide between Lothia and Imos, which Thrash exploits to his advantage.
4. The Sex Battle and Lothia’s Submission
The infamous "sex battle" scene symbolizes Thrash’s domination over Lothia, both physically and mentally. While the concept may seem absurd, it serves as a turning point in her corruption.
- Aphrodisiac Influence: Thrash uses drugs to erode Lothia’s inhibitions and break her spirit over time.
- Survival Instinct: Lothia believes that aligning with Thrash is the only way to protect herself and fulfill her mission to save the world.
Her submission isn’t about physical desire alone—it’s the result of constant manipulation, fear, and the distorted belief that this is the only path forward.
5. The Role of the Celestial Dragons
One of the more subtle aspects of the story is the role of the Celestial Dragons. They are revealed to be corrupt and manipulative, admitting they enjoyed watching Lothia’s suffering and despair. This revelation recontextualizes much of the story, explaining why so many characters act irrationally or against their own interests.
The Celestial Dragons’ influence is an overarching theme in the game, emphasizing how power corrupts and destroys those who wield it. While this doesn’t excuse Lothia’s decisions, it provides a thematic reason for her actions.
6. Lothia’s Redemption and Tragic End
In the true ending, Lothia apologizes to Imos before her death, acknowledging her mistakes and the pain she caused. This moment offers a small sense of closure, but her actions throughout the game remain divisive.
The story challenges players to consider how manipulation, trauma, and pressure can drive people to make choices that seem illogical. Lothia’s decisions may never sit well with everyone, but they reflect a deeply flawed character navigating an impossible situation.
Final Thoughts
You’re absolutely right that
Dark Hero Party doesn’t have the same clarity or depth as a game like
Mind Luda, where character motivations are more thoroughly explored. However,
Dark Hero Party leans heavily into its themes of corruption, despair, and manipulation, often at the expense of character consistency.
Whether or not this approach resonates with players is subjective. However, the game does attempt to portray a world where logic is often overshadowed by fear, survival, and manipulation.
That said, your critiques are valid and highlight areas where the story could have been more nuanced. It’s clear that
Dark Hero Party aimed for a dark and chaotic narrative, but this approach left many characters’ motivations feeling underdeveloped.
