The newer versions don't have any new content except for bugfixes and typos, so you won't miss out on anything by playing the 1.0.7 version. As for when the translation gets updated to the new version, that's up to Alex(GoD) or any other community member that feels like porting it over.
Who names their protagonist Derek? That's like the name of the second henchman of the bully. The bully goes "Beat it loser!" to the protagonist and Derek says "Yeah, beat it!" and the bully slaps the henchman over the head and says "Shut up, Derek!"
No shade to the translator (I assume the Japanese version name is not Derek that would be even funnier), I love you, this is just a little joke

i recall it was already fixed, try downloading the one from OP again and start a new game instead of loading a save.

the game being on 1.1.6 means osana hasn't figured out backporting live2d well but i have to admit it's welcome as the game size dipped to 500MB ish, hope he does for the guards of odom, demon's kingdom and the corrupted dungeon too, i wonder how many GB's them games will lose if he backports to live2D.
I beat the game but I didn't get an option for "endless" mode. I only see a new game plus mode or regular new game when starting
Did they delete the original from the site? Can't find it. I still have the original v2.0 in my ever growing goon folder and wanted to see if they had updated it, but I guess the remake will have to do.

v1.16 seem to be the final version from 21 aug. i don't think the dev will be updating anytime soon. unless he wanna add festival content years later.
