No I actually think Chinese industry is doing incredible because they produced black myth wukong, which is game of the year caliber, and it's not the only quality game.
Black Mid Wukong being called GOTY caliber is wild. The glaze is insane for such a mid game. Zero optimization, random invisible walls, boss rush design.

For demo it's good decision. I don't think there's any point in slowing down the mechanics in the demo version. People should quickly get acquainted with the new content and evaluate it. And then, in the full version, everything should be done as the author envisions, because the corruption system will be fully developed

True, but it also serves as a showcase of the slow corruption and the way it's gonna build up through the course of the game. It's a weird balance trying to showcase both.. so far i'd say it's in a satisfying spot
