how do you translate the settings? I keep on going to translator++ and machine translating the menu text, but it comes back as Japanese. What am I doing wrong? Trans file here... (I'm looking to translate everything in the pause menu in the game)... +1

I downloaded the data file and extracted it to the game's data file and it is still in japanese. Am I doing something wrong?

Move, delete, or rename the game.rgss3a file so that the game would look at the data folder instead... but the rgss3a file for this game also has the graphics in it, so you might have to decrypt before you can start playing.
