HTML - Transylvania [v0.5.05] [XFiction]

Fantastic writing, intriguing story, excellent atmosphere and interesting setting. Even the artworks are really well designed and the erotic scenes are well handled. This game is a little gem and it has all the means for a high quality end product.

I'll begin by stating my criticisms with the game:

The TG aspect of the game seems pointless. I'm neither for or against TG content appearing in games, but here it seemingly serves no purpose and I can see it as a mild disturbance to those who don't care for it while not offering much value for those enthused by the tag.

I played the free version of the game, which includes only one save slot. Day one works perfectly with this, but day two features at least one circumstance I've come across where the absence of regular saves may fuck the player over a bit, as it did me.

The game somewhat lacks the inconsequential. On one hand, all the characters that are in the game serve a meaningful purpose. But because everyone has a purpose, there's not really any smaller details or characters that exist primarily for flavor. The game's atmosphere and writing is very good, but a few more interactions and characters that didn't directly tie into the main plot would liven things up a little bit, and important characters could do with a few more options of interaction without direct consequence.

Bad ends and sexual interactions could do with a little more variation and as above, could serve to be available in less "meaningful" ways. What is present is good, but once one finds oneself in a sex scene or bad end, the structure of what is happening is just a linear path until the end in most cases. A few bad ends could do with more "oh, maybe I can still escape" moments, and with a lot of sex scenes consisting of multiple acts in sequence, they could do with at least minor breaks inbetween in which the character can react and evaluate before suffering the next obscenity. There could also stand to be more options for minor perversions unattached to the primary cast.

It isn't finished.(At time of writing) You'll reach a point where you will be wanting more and it won't be ready yet.

Those are my criticisms. Beyond those, I'll just refer to the score I'm giving the game. Honestly I just want more. That's really the only thing wrong with it. What is present is all very good, so I just want more of everything.
Maybe play it now? Maybe wait until there is more to the game? It will likely become a better experience the longer you wait, but if you play it now you will still certainly enjoy what you get.

Really enjoyable game, I highly rate it. I would certainly prefer it if the TG content was optional, espeically given how little time the player spends as a man? The rest of the game would hardly have to change I'd imagine should you include an alternate female start,.

Regardless I'm probably in the minority of players playing that game despite its TG parts, not because of. I still very much enjoyed it, and look forward to future updates. Overall 5/5 stars, given that my biggest complaint is a game not having a fetish, it specifically markets itself around, which really isn't fair. It does speak well that I liked it so much despite that.

One of the best games I've played so far on this site and one of the very few games that touch onto these mythological creatures this way.

The art is as well one of its biggest pros as it portrays really well the overall atmosphere of the story.

Unfortunately, this game is still in early development and is quite short but it's still one of the games I check daily for updates.

Transylva is a great game. I absolutely love the erotic horror esthetic. So much so that Im taking the time to find 200 characters to fill for this review. The game itself is truly unique. What else is there to say really other than you should try it.

Great game! I like it very much! Mystery, fetishes, transformation! Just want to see more perks/skills and even more fall of main character. And I hope it will be more slots for saves....And maybe more side activities.

Great game on the HTML engine, which surprisingly does not feel at all. Well-developed characters, unexpected turns of events, and what is important - saturated with erotic content already on version 0.3

Finally a very interesting game. There are a lot of options available and you discover something new even after a while of playing. Sadly there's still some content missing and and it needs some time to get used to the stats. But what's there is superb.

A fantastic adult text based adventure with a truly unique art style. Recommended for acquired tastes.

Great dark themes with a well thought out game play loop. Really enjoy figuring out how to access different scenes (it's not too difficult though).

The scenes themselves are well done and lots of dark, submissive kinks are ticked. Also it plays well on mobile and is receiving good quality updates.

Amazing game. Very nice story and atmosphere, original gameplay and nice art. There is a slight bit of repetitive stuff that could be skipped later on, but it's not too bad.I also think that the content could be stretched along couple of days instead of some much thing happening in one day which forces you to replay it so many times to discover all the things. This game captured the dark theme very well. Rich story with things like morbid fascination and all. It really stands out in the ocean of games. Best in its dark theme category, this game deserves 5 out of 5 rating from me.

This continues to be one of the very best HTML games - game-play, art and aesthetics, updates, themes and style, and writing quality are all top notch. Not to mention for an html/twine game it actually looks good with some real care taken on the presentation.

This game is absolutely fantastic. The art is great, the writing is great, the story is interesting, and the choices are just enough to be fun but not too confusing or excessively branchy. I highly recommend this game to anybody interested in monsters, mystery, and horror.

This is possibly one of the finest HTML, text based games i've seen.
I will give a brief list of pros and cons regarding it.
Pros:
-Nice sketchy artwork
-really immersive, top tier writing and plot
-Updating at a normal monthly pace
Cons:
-Progress is really confusing on the 1st chapter and the dialogues could get very repetitive, along with everything, which if you dont figure out how to progress, will keep you doing the same thing forever.
-In chapter 2 you could easily get lost in a circle of trying to balance out stats and it will basically make you restart or quit the chapter pretty quick.
-Artwork appears rarely, but judging by the HTML platform games ive seen, it has more art than most of these games
-The game is not pretty complex overall but it could really be much simpler and easier to flow.
My, meager suggestions, in case anyone bothers to read:
1: Increase presence of artwork throughout the game, and also improve quality of sketches a bit, i knew a guy when i was 12, who could draw all the art of this game in 1 days worth of skipping class and its been over a decade..
2: Rewrite the 1st chapter from scratch or, somehow find a way to decrease the grind and repetitiveness in it, in order for it to be less confusing.
3. This game could really go big if there are more drawn sex scenes and a more cohesive plot with a little bit smaller dialogues, and getting to the point a bit faster when there's events of little importance, such as nightmares and etc..
4. Domination and transformation themes take the game many steps ahead, so focusing further on those could also make it more intriguing to the players.
5. Increasing the variety of body modification and transformation is key, but also decorating the game further, adding more backgrounds everywhere in all the scenes will level this game up an provide a better,mature image on it.

Every now and then you come across a game that you know just does it for you. I remember getting that feeling with games like Incubus City and A Spell For All; for others it may have been games such as Girl Life or maybe Adam & Gaia.

I'm fortunate enough to say that I've had that experience again trying Transylvania.

I thoroughly enjoyed playing the game's one and a half chapters, diving into its supernatural world of horny fucked up horror. Though I've tried to play games of this genre before, none of them ever seemed to really hit like this.

On the sexual side of things, it's definitely to my taste. If you're like me at all, you might have a morbid fetish for being fucked by the supernatural. Should this be the case, this game is for you with its variety of scenarios that involve paranormal forms of intimacy.

But this isn't just masturbation fuel. Sure, it's something that you can beat your dick to if you like being a girl who enjoys some monsters. However, you will find beyond that it is enticing, some engaging entertainment that always makes you want some more.

Sure, there are some glitches here and there, and some minor spelling mistakes that ought to be fixed if it is doable. However, the games pros certainly outweigh their cons. The lovely art style and compelling narrative make it an excellent choice for the next time you touch yourself.

Whats SHOULDN'T stop you: (Minor Spoiler)
What kept me away for a while where two things: The fact that you start out as a male MC and my interpretation of the transformation as some ridiculous Bimbofication.
The first is a pure setup device. The transformation is no bodymorph/genderbend thing but a reality altering. You have always have been a woman but have only vague memories behond the last weeks, which, in my experience, makes the naive horny curiosity of the MC more believable.
And the second proved to be false and very tastfully implemented.

Art is good, though sparse in chapter 2, since it is incomplete.

Story is also rather fine. It is engaging and overall has good excuses for mixing porn with a horror premise.

Overall, this game was a very nice surprise for me and I will be looking forwards for updates.
