Ren'Py - Trapped with Ivy & Piper [v0.56] [AceX Game Studio]

My Rating is Excellent because of the following reasons. This game is exceptionally good. I cannot believe I had never discovered it before. The female characters are extremely attractive. The story and content are very engaging. You never know what will happen next, which makes it difficult to stop playing.

PROS
+ Velerie & Mia are kinda likeable compared to other girls/women in the game.
+ The lewd parts are kinda interesting with Succubus gimmicks like Ivy being able to change her body, body parts, size, etc., and women looking hot kinda helps as well.

CONS
- Story is way too basic, kinda lame, unlikable, and poorly-written. It starts where the last game ended, MC, and Valerie are kidnapped by the Ivy & Piper, tied to chairs, and MC is getting questioned about how he was able to make Valerie, a succubus fall in love with him, and why he has weird effect on Ivy & Piper as well like making their emotions be on high levels like arousal or anger, etc. MC tells them about how he knows nothing, and since they can't fix this thing alone they call someone named Shannon to help them fix this mess, and Shannon thinks it's effect of a love potion, and she can easily fix it with right ingredients, which are blood of Valerie, and MC's cum, good amount of it, fresh, every single day for 28 days straight, and this is big problem since Valerie has her evaluation in 30 days, and they will kill her if they see her in this state. From this moment, the story revolves around curing Valerie, and the MC's interactions with the girls/women. MC spents big part of the story his hands tied behind his back to a chair, hungry/thirsty, helpless, in fact forced to scream ''help!'' like a b*tch, got milked like cow for his cum to cure Valerie, and even forced to sh*t into bed pan (which cleaned by Mia BTW, stupid AF considered she is one of love interests) very fun state to be in, and sparks joy for sure. And after he was untied and given some clothes this time, he was imprisoned in the room where he was tied before. You start doing chores in the same room where you were tied for days, if you say to Ivy that you are couped in this room, she simply says ''I don't care'' BRUH...
- Ivy is straight up insuferable, she kidnapped, tied, and didn't give a single f*ck about the MC, didn't even thought about he could be hungry or thirsty, he could have needs, his mental state could be affected bad, no only thing she cared about was herself, and ''her girls'' and she was ready to kill him if served her purposes right, in fact only reason she didn't kill the MC was his cum is needed for curing the Valerie, she even ordered Mia to kill the MC if he tries to escape. She acted all high and mighty, and told arguments like ''I prefer not to kill you, but your life doesn't mean much to me either way.'' or ''I'm succubus, we kill men for sustenance, it's no different than you killing a cow to eat a hamburger'' and when MC's asks her how she can be this indifferent to murder she talks about dumb sh*t like ''I actually would kill more men if it meant saving a cow's life'' then proceeds to talk about ''I don't know how much I can trust you, and if I found you and Piper do anything more than talking I will kill you despite losing Valerie in the process.'' and funnily enough she says Shannon she trusts her while talking with her, says that's why she asked her to fix this mess, then later while talking with the MC she says she don't trust Shannon... Not to forget when MC followed, and heard what they were talking about, she literally told Valerie ''Don't get close with him, you're going to have to kill him... he's too much of a threat or loose end, he put you under some kind of spell, he is dangerous to more than just you.'' Is this character's writing for real? She is one of the most stupid and two-faced characters you can see in adult games. Heck game even tries to act like she has some vulnerabilities about ''men wanting her to be like someone else'' since she can transform her body, but it hardly fails, because she doesn't deserve any empathy at all, and it feels quite fake, and unsuitable to her general act. And not like she keeps being like that, one second she acts like she is vulnerable, and sad, then she gets angry at MC and acts like an insufferable b*tch again, tells stuff like ''You better start behaving yourself... Or I'll have your testicles on a platter!'' despite MC doing nothing... And grabs MC by his neck, and squeezes it until he can't breathe... WTF? What kind of writing is this? And after all of these, at some point, the game wants players to accept this b*tch actually cares about MC, yeah sure...
- Piper is not worse as Ivy, but she is not great either, she comes as typical stupid slut with no personality, seems like she killed ''bunch of men'' she wasn't supposed to kill, and was supposed to be executed, but Ivy convinced them to spare her temporarily under some conditions, and MC's whole interaction with her is about ''helping'' her to control her unique Succubus powers to not make men come in seconds, so she can enjoy sex, she is all sad one moment, then comes at MC happly with saying she figured out stuff, and starts yapping while stroking MC's dick, and you are like ''WTF are this b*tch yapping?'' And later, for no reason, she starts to say MC stuff like ''You couldn't stop me if you wanted to... You're my plaything...'' and MC/player has zero choice over things happening with her.
- Willow is one of the other girls you meet along the line, and she is as insufferable as Ivy, not too much to say, manipulative, nice when she needs something, rude when she feels like it, treats MC like sh*t, like her worker, constantly gives MC orders to do things, etc.
- Even tho Mia is kinda likeable, her existence in the story is a bit forced, as you get kidnapped into this house, and out of nowhere Mia comes onto the scene with ''Hey Ivy, I'm ready for my training!'' and turns out she was waiting at this exact house to have her training from Ivy... Yeah sure, of course that makes a lot of sense (wink wink)
- Some of the stuff doesn't really make sense. First one is according to this game's lore, a Succubus was once human, but they chose to become a Succubus, which is really nonsense. Another one is whole night visits of Valerie, you telling me Valerie somehow managed to fool others (doubt) that she is still trapped/tied, but she is escaped, and every night she comes to MC ask what they should do, and every night MC's choices are stuff ends up with same result, which is ''give me some time for better plan, and understand things'' and this whole thing feels really stupid, and they got caught by Ivy at some point, and whole thing becomes MC's fault like he did anything at all... HE IS LITERALLY IMPRISONED IN THE SAME ROOM HE PUT IN FROM THE BEGINNING! What even bro did? Nothing! Or the whole locked cabinets with symbols in it, and ''randomly'' appearing shinning keys opening them... Or glowing patern on wall, there are women named Willow being there, asking MC 4 digit password, after finding password, and MC asking to be free asking him to find/retrive special items dear to her in the house, and when he gets her a book, she gives MC gloryhole blowjob from glowing patern, and tells him if he continues to be a good boy she will continue to reward him
- Most of the dialogues are really weird, even kinda childish, especially MC's dialogues with Valerie, and Piper are worse.
- Your choices don't actually matter, like you can change stuff for real, it matters just for the most annoying way to make you lose certain stats that exist: Heart, Trust, Stamina, Awareness, and Intelligence, which will determine how you can progress with each character. There is no ingame walkthrough exist, and you don't know how your choices will affect the stuff or stats without choice/dialogue part end, and start the sandbox part, therefore without any mod what you need to do is trial, and error method to get optimum results/stats, or play blindly, and pay the price, which is quite annoying. Aside from that almost nothing is on MC's/player's control, MC gets treated unfairly/bad, he gets kidnapped, tied, imprisoned, left hungry, thirsty, used like guinie pig, his heart stops constantly because of things done to him, yet everyone acts like it's nothing serious, etc, and players had no choice over any of these, let alone having choice as a player are forced to have scenes with these people treat you like this
- The game has partial voice lines for some of the dialogues. At the start of the game, it's told that they are actually trying to make the whole game voiced. Meanwhile, voiced lines are nice to have, and when it's done well, it makes the game more immersive, impressive, and quite sexy, it's not the case, because the voice acting is bad, feels unnatural, forced, and not suitable for the characters at all.
- There are cockblocking, and teasing scenes... So even in a game, all women are succubus, you can't escape from blueballing hell.
- This game released 2 years after the first game, and sequel to it yet from visual parts it doesn't really look improved, in fact it even looks worse in most scenes, sex scene physics are inferior, visual quality of animations looks worse in most scenes, and we even have weird motion blur effect making things looks worse than they will if not exist.
- First game was quite tedious with whole puzzle, etc, kinda stuff, but later they added story/VN mod to fix it, it was nice touch, improved the game a lot, and recieved well by the fans, so you wait them to make/add this one a story/VN mod as well, surprise you are wrong, this is a sanbox game with bunch of stupid minigames/puzzles again... What's worse, and dumber, is that these minigames/puzzles are the way you build trust/love, etc, with the characters... Even worse after some point the game goes into constant ''Morning: talk with xx, eat food, sleep'', ''Afternoon: talk with xx, eat food, sleep'', ''Evening: talk with xx, eat food, sleep'', ''Night: talk with xx, eat food, sleep'' cycle along with solving minigames/puzzles while doing this, and the whole sandbox, and minigame/puzzle issue becomes tedious AF. And at some point, even sex scenes get ruined by minigames...

VERDICT
Unlike the first game, this game is not good at anything aside from lewd parts, and even the lewd parts are worse than they could be since in games what makes the lewd parts good is the connection/affection you have towards the character, which here is almost impossible with how unlikeable they are, they get better when you reach the end of the current content, but you can't just magically forget things happened until that point. So proceed only if you are here for lewd parts; if you want a well-written story, characters, or content, then you will be disappointed.

excellent game, lovely models and fun interactions as well as decent writting.Overall recommend checking it out and playing, especially if you like some longer format stories. Val is my favorite but everyone is amazing

The game is excellent, a great point-and-click adventure. The presentation is cool, the story is pretty good, the characters are well-introduced with strong personalities—everything you could want in a good game. The animation is really well done. If I remember correctly, it's not that large in storage, quite long in this version. I had a great time playing it.

Really enjoyed the game.

Great models and animations, the storyline is not super complex, but interesting enough that you makes you pay attention to what's happening and not just skip dialogues. The minigames are fun, didn't even bothered skipping them even tought the mod let's you do it. The hot scens don't become immediatly but you also aren't teased forever. Also love how this is a continuation of another game, while being inovative and not samey.

In short, it hit the sweet spot with basically everything, not overdoing or underdoing anything. I got quite satisfied, and even considered singing up for the patreon, but it doesn't seem like there's any signigicant content behind it, which is another excelent sign regarding the dev. Regardless, if I didn't came from a weaker currency I would've definetily become a patron because theis project seems like something worth supporting finantially.

this game has in my opinion probably some of the best scenes ive ever seen, good sounds, great animations the only downside is the clicking but the dev is working on smoothing things out so that deserves the amount of stars.

The insane amount of repetitive clicking for minigames to have minimal dialogue / minimal animation change is insanely tedious and a total buzz kill. This game makes it a chore and not even a rewarding chore, don't waste time on this one, just get a gallery unlocker maybe but even then you have to do mini games and it takes like 5+ minutes, super annoying.

Would be so much better if there wasn't so many tedious clicker games, esp when it's just about you clicking repeatedly anywhere for 5+ minutes..

As of 0.55... SUPERB! Good story (for a porn game). The models span from VERY passable to near-perfect (Piper's model is among my personal very favorites and is also used in the game "The Motel"). The girls all have very unique personalities that pull you in (as any succubus worth her salt should). Mini games are fun but not over-used, and the potion game actually offers some challenge. One thing I'd add is some animations, but I understand that perhaps the author made a stylized choice here, so I can respect that. But generally, when trying to convey the idea of a succubus "using-up" a man, the aggressive nature of the act, I think, translates well into aggressive (and torturous) movement. Not necessarily "fast" animation (though I prefer that), but at least the strong, purposeful movements of a succubus in charge and on a mission.

Sends shivers up my spine.

Good game! there is one major problem however; it has a memory leak. it eventually uses all your RAM and crashes. was about every 15 minutes or so for me on 32GB.

another minor complaint includes navigating around can be a chore (especially in the pool area). now hopefully this is 200 words for a review.

Sandbox navigation is so bad as to be irrelevant due to the map being available as well.

Gameplay consists of being gated by objects you have to search for being gated by other objects you are given and/or have to search for using the terrible sandbox.

A plethora of mini games some of which are dexterity based, others memory based and some are puzzles of varying and increasing difficulty (The potion puzzles to me at least are far more challenge than I want from this kind of game and the in game cheat doesn't cheat it just gives you a hint as far as I can tell).

Animations are great, dialogue/story is fine.

Overall it is generally tedious to play due to the constant minigames, navigation and repeatedly searching the same things because the time between keys being given is longer than retention of what key goes where and there are too many keys for practicality.

What an annoyingly stupid AVN. Serious case of sandbox/free roam hell. I spent the first 15 mins of the game with the MC tied to a chair, trying to escape and calling for help like a little bitch. It was so much fun I kept asking them to please just kill the MC already but they never did. Oh wait, I got to see the MC glance down the shirt of Mia after playing some silly little slider game. Top notch stuff right there.

What comes next? They let me go and I have to do chores around the house for them? Nice!

Amazing game. Renders are great and characters super sexy, specially Mia and Ivy. Searching for objects can be a bit annoying but despite it the game is really fun. Looking forward to the next update.

The primitive mini-games ruin the whole experience. The game itself is well-designed, but why complicate the gameplay so much? It would be fine if the mini-games were interesting, but they are absolutely idiotic. It's unpleasant to play, the star is only for the visuals.

Beautiful renders, pretty good writing and a story that's weirdly wholesome considering the main character is held prisoner by succubi who maybe want to kill him. I'm invested and interested to see where the story goes! Well done aceX!

Some of the best models I've ever seen. I really like how different this game is compared to most other porn games out there. It seems to pick up right where the first Valerie game left off which is a nice touch. One of the few games I have played more than once.

There is some kind of stat check sometimes in the story. If u dont match the criteria the orange haired girl kills intantly and u cant do anything to prevent that. This immediatly ends the game. There is no set back to the moment you can dodge the death and therefore all your save slots are useless. You dont know what time you need to change sth.

Thats horrendously awful game design and therefore this doesnt deserve a single star at all.

Has great potential and is still being worked on. The gameplay is evolving. Great models. Great animations as well. The developer does take feedback into account. This is a game worth supporting in my opinion.
