    Great potential, Poor execution.

Imagine twenty different horses pulling a cart in twenty random directions. o_O Quests are varied, but then many of them feel unfinished. Trials is an erotic Sci/Fi fantasy sandbox that's packed with easter eggs & call backs to COC. (y) I love the exaggerated OPTIONAL bimbo bodies.

You can breed with ant-morphs like Phylla. This time there is a never ending war between 2 different species of ant women. The story line goes nowhere. Personally, I wish that the writers would tie up
loose ends before working on a new world.

Another NPC was dumped into a fairly cool Pirate base. She's a drugged up, mutant rabbit assassin who has a bad ass look & is quite a challenge. Apparently, we'll never see the end of her story.

Also, I wish the Main Character could bad end certain NPCs or at Least have a disable option for filtering out annoying encounters. The Stun Lock mice gang were finally nerfed. Right now, Trials is a randomly edited Anthology of Anthro-Erotica. I'm hoping that some one takes the helm starts crafting a coherent plot for the game.

It's a very ambitious text adventure game.

What I really like from text adventure game is that your equipment does translate to the story, unlike most case where they are just key item or stat buffer, really makes you apriciate the small detail they put here and there.

Peak Giga Chad power fantasy story line need to be earn, hope this help:
    1. Start with Half-kuitan background for Nukie Nut perk (can be alternative with implant)
    2. Drink Amazona Drink to the point of having it's perk
    3. Get treated, preferably as Amazon
    4. After acquiring the last treated-Amazon perk, drink a shit ton of Amazonia drink to the point of OD for it's last boon
    5. When the treatment is done, Cut all of your breast and woman endwonment in Mehengga
    6. And just inject an unholy amount of Man-Up to compenstate the lack of masculinity from all those time.

I know it's Smut, but sometimes, drowning among the pool of sin, you just want to be loved. No sex, pure vanila and just exploring the world it present, which will lock you on most encounter and character of the game, because surprprise, the story revolve around sex. Can't i have a fist bump, high five, or a pat on the back of a job well done? The live of bilionare is something i could only imagine in my wildest dream and all they do is steer the world into one path they walk on, kinda lonely...

This game has just a ton of fetishes, but since i played almost only as a femboy bottom i'm gonna review it from that perspective.

First off the game provides you with easy tools to customize your character, for example body proportions, face, sex, species or personality AND over the course of the game you will be confronted with various consumables, enemies or NPCs that change those aspects and even more.
You can grow different tails, extra penises, become a centaur and much more, and all of that is optional with adjusted dialogue.

There are a wide range of NPCs and followers that can join you as permanent companions, also many storylines and quests related to those NPCs and followers. Combat is good, you have difficulty options that you can adjust at any time so it should never be frustrating to play. As for actual combat options, you have different classes that rely on different stats with unique passives and skills which become more the higher you level goes.

This game also features a huge amount of images for the characters, which makes it a lot easier to imagine them. There is also a corruption system that affects the characters in physical and mental ways, like the drug called "Dumbfuck" which makes you really horny but the more you cum while under the effect of it the more your IQ drops.

I probably forgot to mention a lot about this game but the amount of content is just really huge. Also i think most if not all sex scenes are optional making it possible to just interact with your own kink.

The development time is a red flag for some, but i think considering you get this game for free and it being fairly high quality for what it is, i do not see why that should be a turn off.

In a distant future. Genemods are widely available and boy do sex sell! You can be anything: A 2m tall chinese man with 4 dongs, an anthro dog with tits and self-lubricating nipples, a literal semen-demon, a centaur/robot hybrid with 13 rows of boobs, a bimbo butterfly, or just a combination of everything - a cumming, spewing menace to society made entirely out of cocks, boobs, balls and orifices. Its grrrrrreat! (Ghandhi - 1930)

The main comlaint I see people have here is mostly these 3
    1. Lack of direction
Fair, more chefs, bigger mess (Norwegian saying)

    2. No moderation. Too big boobs, butts, cocks, etc.
Why in the world would people have any form of moderation in this kind of future? There are actual syringes that instantly turn you into a bimbo that would put your mom to shame. You can buy bigger-butt-juice in a normal soda can. Everything is hypersexualized. Moderation makes little sense. If you dont like it, go to literally any other game thats trying to be even slightly realistic.

    3. Futas
I love them. The developers seem to love them. The other fans seem to love them. Why there are so many of them? Well, who wouldnt want to be on the right side on a meat stick once in a while. In this future its possible, even easy. One pill (or synthsheathe) and BOOM, you got a whole new and different way of creaming your pants.

(The game also leans heavily on the dom/sub sub/dom strugglesnuggle genre, and its just easier to fuck someone silly if you got your own bitchbreaker).

If you dont like the ideas of dicks being pointed in your direction, youre gonna have to either avoid the game or play like the first time you joined your grandpa in the public sauna: Eyes closed, slightly disgusted, but happy to be there. There were no towel policy in the sauna, and there is no towel policy in space

just way too much of everything. total lack of focus and depth and gameplay. just all over the place with no end in sight. Seems like the devs are trying to cram everything in and at the same time always stay very superficial

Personally speaking, i like the story, the plot, and the gameplay, but the art is just not for me and probably many other people. The character art is way to unrealistic, the asses, the boobs, and the cocks are just way to big, making the characters looking so ugly (sorry if my words come out as offensive but this is how i feel about the game's art). The characters' proportion is just so awkward, like imagine a slender female character having boobs and asses that are 4 times the size of their head and having a cock as large as their arms, why??? I know this game is set in a sci-fi environment but this is too much, please tone it down a notch.

This game has... just way too much to it. The fact that it's not even close to being finished but there are still a large number of people with nostalgia for this game is ridiculous and shows just how long this thing as been in development with no end in sight.

I can appreciate the actual gameplay mechanics here, and there are plenty of good scenes to be found (although there's a bit of a lack if you're into F x F and not M x F or futa stuff). But things are just spread way too thin yet everything's way too densely packed at the same time.

There are too many volunteer writers, way too many side plots being thrown in, mechanics being added and abandoned like exhibitionism... the fact that a text-based game with a very solid mechanical framework is taking *decades* to finish is actually insane.

When you realize this trash has been in "development" for like 10 years with Fenoxo and co gathering some 30k+ a month from Patreon and other "donation" sources - it seems pretty clear it's just an excuse to milk dickgirl-loving perverts for as long as humanly possible. It's lazy in every respect.

One of the first smut games I ever played.

Has some of the best text-smut (Especially William's work) and some great character busts.

Only complaint would be that some writers leave their characters work unfinished.

I've played this game for seven years, right back when Mhenga was the only planet available.

It is not the most expansive ero-fiction game ever (that goes to COC2), but holy hell is it as broad as an ocean. If you have a specific character kink you'll probably find some alien in this game that fits the bill (even the futas have charming enough personalities to compensate for sexual incompatibility).

The ridiculous amount of variables and customization is like no other game and the writers (volunteer or otherwise) account for all of that when relevant. It makes you want to do varying playthroughs with different builds because of how drastically different intimate scenes and even quests and relationships factor into how you customize and transform your characters. Nuanced enough interactions to make you want to compare it to Witcher 3 or New Vegas. Actually incredible what the devs and writers have done with this.

So why does this get 3-stars as an "average" ero-game?

    Simply put: development time.

The same devs, writers, and artists juggle their time and efforts between COC2 and TiTS at the same time, leading to slower development on both games. Slow enough to see their Flash versions killed outright which forced us to wait for the games to be rebuilt into Java (taking the better part of a year at least).

Slow enough that Uveto, which was supposed to be a side-planet that wasn't part of the main storyline, has become something of a second home due to the abundance of NPCs that end up taking residence there. You can forget about this game for a year or two like I did and come back to Uveto having yet another fuckbuddy with a fully fleshed out questline while the latest mainline planet gets maybe 2/3 of the NPCs as the previous mainline planet did.

It doesn't sound like a bad thing (it probably isn't if you finally get that kink itch scratched), but essentially everything that was supposed to be on the backburner like pregnancy and child-rearing end up having to undergo early implementation, which adds to content creep and scope expansion and...yeah, more features and more fuckbuddies that sideline story development.

Don't get me wrong, I love me a space sandbox (I've played Starbound in its Alpha states back when Cucklefish didn't shit its own bed with not paying its contributors), but I'm still thinking about whether we'll ever get a fully aquatic planet or a gas-giant planet to explore as well. You know, more space adventures with interesting locales or interesting developments on past-explored planets (COUGH MYRELLION HYBRID SPECIES THAT COULD END A BRUTAL WAR COUGH) and less of the "I spent 3 months on Uveto raising kids happily while ignoring this space-race my father left me and that somehow isn't affecting whether or not my rivals will beat me to the punch". It's a development marathon that I wish I had the patience for the way I do for Kenshi or Warframe, but damn do the updates take their time.

And yeah I do kinda get the vibe that there is a strong futa bias which on paper shouldn't be that bad since the whole point of the game is having a flexible identity with body-changing mods, but a lot of NPCs you do bang are hard-coded to be futas and not true hermaphrodites. And considering that the primary consumer of these games are males that would rather pitch than catch...let's just say your average player will always be left wanting for more than just buttfucks. And Siri is my favorite NPC in the entire game despite being a futa and not a hermaphrodite.

6/10, an actual 10/10 on gameplay (the combat is surprisingly complex and fun), writing, and sandbox but 4/10 on sex factor and features. Probably should score it higher but I can't stress enough on the sheer cabin fever us long-term players have been getting with Uveto / Canadia / Tavros / New Texas content.

Probably the best and most expansive game out there, if you don't mind reading. Really wide range of interests and the fact that it is text-based with small avatars makes it easier to brush off or ignore things you're not into. Particularly fond of Uveto which is basically just a BDSM world.

I like that many characters have multiple images to choose from. The degree of choice in this game is really remarkable otherwise. Lastly, has the rare distinction of being a game on here with gameplay/combat stimulating enough to be interesting on its own while not feeling like a chore or grind.

Another project I wanted to love tainted by intrusions of dumb porn writing into what is otherwise a decent script. Could be something special if it took itself more seriously, but I know that's not in the cards.

TL/DR: Both of Fenofoxes' games are the embodiment of the phrase- "Throwing shit at the wall and seeing what sticks" with one minor difference. Instead of shit, it is cum....mostly FUTA cum...until you can transform yourself enough to be a mega chad then it can be mostly MC-Kun cum. ;) The game is Frankenstein's paper- golem. Narrative stitched together by the developers overseeing volunteers and also creating their own content. It is both the game's strength and its weakness.

+ The best thing about the title by far is the extremely high ability to customize your character via various transformation items in tandem with how well your body choices are reflected in the in-game text.
+ The game-play elements are serviceable and give you a feeling of character growth in a classic RPG sense, but the MC still lacks mental growth to some degree
+ Some of the stories are very good and quite well written. Others....are horrible. The worst of which make the player feel like a token observer of a GM playing dollies with their own little cringe OC to show off how cool they are. Ergo, some of the stories are super, super bad and don't allow the player to make interesting choices or take a significant role. Fortunately, for the most part things are above par.
+ Having and being able to customize the ship is really fun!
+ The game is seriously huge!

    - Not very much art. The art is also super low quality.
    - Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy too many futa characters. As someone who only likes XX chromosome characters, sometimes the game feels like playing dodge-ball- but you are dodging dick..and balls:ROFLMAO:. It. Is. All. So. Bleh.
-There aren't really NPC allied characters that you can de-dick. There are a lot that you can give a dick to- but your gender customization options for NPCs is really limited if you don't like cock.
    - The game is super narratively bloated. It seriously lacks focus due to its billion narratives.
    - Needs more female companions!
    - Needs more short-stacks!
    - Too many ridiculously slutty characters. Game could use some sexual balance / tension.

Small question: How is a game that doesn't even have animations or visuals top in all sections?
It is bad; unless the text excites you... I'm not the one to talk about that, but take it into account e.e.
Its gameplay depends not only on you specifically reading what they tell you (No, I'm not asking for things to be done to me, but you're more lost than shit if you didn't pay attention to the dialogue), but also on whether you like walking from A to B... Walking simulator basically.

First things first, the developer's practices are questionable at best...
Aside from that, this game serves as a good sandbox similar to the others of its kind. The story is... somewhat thrown all around, and honestly... This game would be empty without side-quest... Like really, really empty. But the story itself is somewhat decent, been playing this for a decent while... and truth be told, I haven't noticed too many changes...

one of the best games that I played there is so much options and so much to discover can be replayed many times the only thing it is not for you if you do not like to read it is mostly text based fap responsibly BR

    ViVi.

    Its pretty good.

With plenty of content in the game currently and fairly regular dev updates, it's worth picking up at some point. TiTS boasts fun world and combat mechanics, extremely good art and character customization, some pretty good writing with a suprisingly engaging story and some of my favourite tags to boot. have come back to it for many an update, and will probably continue to do so in the future.

Throughout all of my playthroughs i've encountered minimal bugs, the only noteable one being one of my sigwulfe droids disappearing on me for some reason, but it was solved fairly quickly with the cheats available in the in game menu. Speaking of menus, TiTS has one of best UIs i've seen in a game like this being easy to use and pretty customizable

But hey that's just my opinion idk dude. 10/10 would recommend.

Want to have a grand story with branching storylines, focusing on narratives the players themselves create? I'm afraid this isn't the game for you in that case.

Want tonnes of content without direction, but at least with a streamlined way to experience it? An impressive character customisation system that is essentially just for show and is mostly meaningless? A universe with impressive world building, but what ultimately follows the "wide as an ocean, deep as a puddle" objective? Haphazardly strapped on features that only serve the function of creating the illusion of fleshed out gameplay mechanics? Writing that requires you to have a synonym dictionary open to understand it, which focuses on word count over quality, just like your college essays? A UI that would put the mess of a junior UX designer to shame who just finished their bootcamp?

Ask no more, and welcome to the Trails in Tainted Space! A game with an impressive following of the creator of a once reputable title, who managed to make this game their crown jewel by milking it endlessly, trying to appeal to a fanbase that not even they themselves know what they want their precious game to become.

    InsaniacDuo

Trials in Tainted Space is - first and foremost - a dress up game. It is also a sandbox RPG with more emphasis on the sandbox portion.
To start, the vast amount of effort done for the world building of TiTS is commendable. Every character seems to have been thought out from their habitat to their bodily performances. Every world will introduce a multitude of characters that all have their own stories to tell; you just have to go looking for it.
The transformation aspects are largely cosmetic in nature, often their sole purpose is to allow or bar the use of certain sexual acts. For players looking for a gameplay advantage, TiTS seems uninterested in using this feature to enhance its combat and while there are examples, these are few and far between. For example, growing multiple arms will not grant the use of multiple weapons, having rabbit legs does not make you run faster, and turning your skin into chitin will not grant a defense boost. While there exists some form of bridging this in the tease action, where enemies gain more lust depending on how the PC looks, the likes and dislikes are seemingly random every encounter, making using it - let alone strategizing with it - impossible. I should also probably mention that some transformation items do grant additional stat buffs, but these are so small that it's not worth investing in.
Still, the amount of customization on the PC that's allowed is insane, and - after all - looking fabulous is its own reward.
Building a character is then usually left alone to a class and points leveling system. There's an effort to diversify by offering the choice of two different abilities for every level, but it's still a very railroaded way of doing it. Max out the appropriate stats and ignore the rest. You've played RPGs like this before.
On that subject, dividing the weapons between melee and ranged and having different stats associated with the two is a good attempt at this as well, but it also stands as how TiTS' combat is a little shallow. Aside from the bow weapon type, the game doesn't change in depending on what weapons the PC equips. (I.E. there are very few weapon based builds).

Altogether, the writing alone makes this one deserving of an excellent score. While I've spent too much on how the non-focusing of combining the tf gameplay and the rpg combat systems is a missed opportunity, games should be judged by what they are, not by what they could be.

While the writing is pretty decent, and the art can be good at times, the game ultimately ends up being average, and not meeting the bar compared to the original CoC, which he made. Some of the areas just feel tacky, some characters just feel unfinished or shallow, some just feel tacked on and then discarded soon after. Its almost like it suffers from lack of direction. It wants to go in one direction and then it pulls in another. I also have to say, if you are not into furries or futas, you will not like this game. I'd say like 75% of the content is that. Either futa or furry. Some avoidable, some not. You don't get much choice whether you see that or not. Ultimately a dissapointment as it could be so much more.
