If you're playing 0.46 then yes, the mod for that is indeed better.

You can always go to Tal's Discord and go to the Releases and get the mod there. It is usually 1 update ahead of the free version.

While undoubtedly true, unless you're a pre-existing member of his discord, no-one has been able to access it for many months now. We rely on the good people here to post the mod, which is usually done in quite a timely manner.

I had no troubles to get an invite for the discord channel with the OP link and with discord app open and last time was like 2 weeks ago since the previous one expired probably because I rarely post messages on discord and only been there to get the updated mod. Actually just got it now after download the compressed update only file.

Edit: And before you ask, nope sorry won't upload it here since I'm not a "trusted" member with a label, and I always advise people on this forum to not download files with code from "random" members.

Getting an exception with the mod installed when loading a save, without mod game starts fine. Mod and game both are version 0.49. Any ideas?

The exception is:

I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred.

While running game code:
File "renpy/common/00action_file.rpy", line 452, in __call__
renpy.load(fn)
Exception: Couldn't find a place to stop rolling back. Perhaps the script changed in an incompatible way?
