VN - Ren'Py - Triple Ex [v0.25] [Azrayal]

DISCLAIMER: The author managed to provide a satisfying resolution and changed my score from a 2/5 to a 4.5/5 with believable motivations and dialogues later on in the novel, but it took a few months for this to come out, and a lot of the poor ratings would no doubt now be 4 or 5 stars, if they had started the game NOW instead of 6 months ago when many of us were reading through frustrating unresolved storylines.

Edit 2 update 13a: Wow the author really saved the story by writing the characters to have actual remorse for their Poor behavior and schemes, and showed NAN to be a pillar of respect and love as the matriarch of the family, he really saved the story line, and as promised I have updated the rating with the new score to show the change in character arcs.

Honestly the game could be amazing (5/5) if some of the plot points were slightly different, but as of the newest updates actually giving consequences and remorse to characters it has been bumped to a 4.5/5

It's a frustrating game indeed!
I do like it, but some parts are too infuriating.

Firstly, I only play the family route and ignore all the other girls as they are either not attractive enough (Jules) or too cliché (Kumiko) or both (Astrid).

The first hours of the game are fun, the relation between Deb and MC is interesting enough although MC is a bit too passive and a dimwit sometimes. It's fine she fucks a girl on the side, it's not NTR and as MC fucks everything that's warm too if he has the chance, who am I to judge Deb.

But then suddenly, when he finds out what happened in the past, he turns into the a dumb military alpha dog, making me almost delete the game for the way he treats Deb. He's a total emotionaly immature twat and I'm almost ashamed to play him.

But then in the latest content getting closer to Milly things get a bit better again. But the day out should have ended totally different.

Guess I have to wait for the next patch to see what happens.

Frustrating as hell to play. The MC's sister is pretty much the actual MC, she's the one going around doing everything the MC should be doing. The sister is also an annoying cunt that grates your nerves.
The MC is fuckin' retarded and you don't actually get the choices that you want.

This game is very Bri'ish. And it's not one for a casual fap. Renders are decent, animations are fluid. Sex scenes are quite few in number, and really short, and the dirty talk is also quite Bri'ish.

This doesn't sound like much praise, so the reason I gave it 4 stars is everything else. Characters are good, the story is interesting, and you can play as a somewhat realistic badass veteran without being an edgelord.
This is a kind of story that you'll be wondering about while doing the dishes, it uses pacing very well to draw you in.
I'll be looking forward for more!

I had put off "playing" this VN for some time, but when I did, I got addicted & didn't want to stop (Unfortunately I am caught up with the current build ).

It is so engaging & the story is amazing. The writing is very well done. I can't get enough of this.

If this were made into a Hentai Series (Due to some of the subject matter & sex), I would watch it without question.

I usually find 1or 2 Characters in VNs pretty forgettable, but in this occasion, that is not the case.

The renders are mostly good. Old overused daz models with overused hairs (the sis) didn't hurt the quality animations.

I'm a little bothered with the excessive british conventions. The characters use the words "arse," "nickers" "bollocks" "shite" and phrases like "sod off" "you don't give a toss about what other people think" to name a few.

This is my evaluation of this game's story which effectively ruined this game for me.

Review for Triple Ex - v0.10a:

Let me preface this by saying that most of the negative reviews here are unjustified and objectively wrong. These reviewers haven't played the whole VN and they have made wrong choices. There are Dominant and Submissive Paths for the sister character, these are decided by MC's choices which award points, even if you are more submissive, your sister occasionally fondling others isn't hard NTR. But if you are more dominating in your choices, everyone falls in line, no girl is stolen, MC is in control. Use the Walkthrough provided by the dev or the unofficial Mod, to help you stick to the Domination Path and best enjoy the game.

Plot- The narrative here is fresh and unique, especially for an Incest VN. MC's ex-wife has died and he has to protect his estranged daughter from harm, all while uncovering the mysteries behind his ex-wife's disappearance, death and the reason behind his daughter being in danger. He also has to deal with his past, and family situation, in order to be a better man and father.

Characters- Plot and Characters are the best things about this VN, you have a wide range of characters with different races, ages and body types, all pretty realistic and hot. Each and every character is unique, well written, compelling, endearing, with their own charms and flaws, and very few tropes are followed. Each one has an ambition and purpose that tie the narrative and other characters together, no one feels like a side character despite less screen-time. My favourites are Deb(Sis), Milly(Daughter), Astrid(GF) and Julie(Caretaker), Faye(Mom).

Visuals/Graphics- The renders are where the VN falls short, they are not of the highest fidelity, lighting, backgrounds could be improved, and animations tend to be a bit blurrier than images. Certain character models need to be sharpened, especially faces. But none of this detracts from Triple Ex being an enjoyable experience. The quality does improve as you keep playing.

Adult Scenes- This is a story focused game, sex scenes are short and not very common, but they are placed in appropriate moments, and are quite hot. That being said, do not play this VN with your dick in your hand, because you'll be soft for most of it. Go to Pornhub, relieve yourself quickly and then enjoy this awesome VN for its compelling story and lovable characters.

Technical- Animations are present. I always play with my own Music on, but it seemed like there was no background music, there are some ambient sounds, only thing I remember hearing are slap sounds. Playtime for v0.10a is easily 10-15 hrs which is massive for a game with a low file size and almost 2 years old. There is also a Scene Gallery included for individual characters.

TLDR - Dom and Sub Paths, No Hard NTR + Easily Avoidable, Great Story and Lovable Characters, Diverse and Unique Cast, 10+ hour playtime.

I just finished 0.10a from start as always, and i can'¨t F'in wait for the next update.
The complexity of this story is just thrilling, the images are good to great, but animations could be better to be honest.
For me it's about the story being told, and it rock's my boat

I've just played the entire available content (0.09) and I can say that the game impressed me incredibly.

I would like to highlight two things.
- Great adult storyline. Great dialogues. Excellent writing and pacing.

- Characters.
I love them all. But I would like to highlight two - Deby and Milli.
Deby is the second MC in the game, perfectly complements the main character, moves the plot and gives impetus for growth and progress to everyone around her.
Milli is a great character, whose personal growth we follow throughout the
game.

For me, this is a great game and I absolutely don't understand why it has so many haters.

Great (but flawed) characters and a MC (Jake Miles) that starts out with a life that is in flames and slowly puts it back together.

Good pacing, character growth and many different (body type and personality) sexy ladies.

Don't get dissuaded by the many negative reviews, most reviewers seem to only want stories with perfect people, if you are NOT one of these unrealitic perfectionists give this a chance!

I loved this episode (v 0.09a) and I can't wait for the next one.

Triple Ex [v0.08a] [Azrayal]

I recently played "Triple Ex", and I have some mixed feelings about it. The game is undeniably full of action and drama, but it often veers into what I can only describe as juvenile territory.

The story revolves around an elite ex-soldier who's now working as a private mercenary. From the get-go, it's clear that this is one of those "dark past" protagonists, and the game doesn't hesitate to throw in a handful of clichés. While these tropes can be enjoyable to some extent, they make the plot rather predictable.

One aspect of the game that I genuinely enjoyed was the relationship between the main character and his sister, Deb. Their interactions felt natural and genuine, and the game managed to create some endearing moments between them. Additionally, some of the sensual scenes involving them were tastefully done.

However, my enthusiasm waned as the story introduced more characters. Deb, who initially played a relatable and likable role, suddenly became an obnoxiously active protagonist, while the main character seemed to take a back seat. This shift made it feel like the story was becoming more about Deb than him, which was disappointing.

I couldn't help but think that there was a missed opportunity here. Instead of going down the route of absurd and eclectic ideas, the game could have focused more on the dynamics between Deb, Millie, and the main character. Reuniting with their estranged daughter and exploring the complex emotions within this trio could have led to a more emotionally resonant and engaging story.

One standout positive aspect of the game is Millie's character, especially her visually stunning model. It's clear that a lot of attention to detail went into creating her character, and she adds a unique dimension to the game.

However, my biggest issue with "Triple Ex" is the writing. The dialogue often feels forced and unnatural, and as more characters are introduced, the plot becomes increasingly convoluted. The main character's behavior, especially in social situations, left me feeling disconnected from the story. It's essential for characters to feel relatable, but his actions and dialogue made him difficult to connect with.

Lastly, the game's attempt to blend British jargon with an all-American action-hero narrative felt a bit stilted and out of place. This inconsistency in the setting and character portrayal added to the overall sense of disconnect I experienced while playing.

In conclusion, "Triple Ex" has its moments, particularly in the relationship between the main character and his sister and the character design of Millie. However, the game's predictable plot, unnatural dialogue, and inconsistent character behavior detract from the overall experience. With some adjustments and a more focused narrative direction, it could have been a more engaging story.

I don' really understand why this game has so many bad reviews its honestly pretty good, the characters have well defined personalities and unique looks and the story is ambitious if a little muddled. The Japanese gangster's seem a but unnecessary and random, the sister and daughter are both really good characters and I glad the story focus's on them so much. The way Milly grows over the game is really nice and I look forward to seeing how their(milly and MC,) relationship develops.

A big problem I have with the game is the scoring system, there are choices in this game that I really didnt want to make but it is necessary to take them otherwise you might not have enough points later on and could negatively effect the choices in the game later...... The problem is I really don't want to see the mother naked she has the face of a 70 year old and the body of a model I find it horrifying. I wish there were options to not lose any MC points and have the option to never have any lewd scenes with her, she can still be in the story thats fine, but an option to close off all lewd scenes with her in the story would be appreciated without it losing MC stats.

First I want to start to say most of the reviews of this game is irrelevant, if I believed all this reviews I would never play this great game.
It was good to choose to ignore the reviews and playing it.

Second thing you need to know that I don't like Female Dominant(femdom) or Humiliation if you ar like me just play ONLY Dominant / Path, that path I was playing on the start sister of mc was a bit femdom but it's just little it is more joke/playing thing that I can allow it and in the future story you will get answer why she have this behavior, but as you play forward the sister will change in more Submissive as you choose the right path.

The story will become more and more interesting as you playing, is the first game I love the sister and not the daughter as "incest genre". Why?
Because you actually see how she change from short hair in extensive hair to become more feminine character also in hers interraction with mc, I love the joke between this 2 it make laugh everytime hahaha.
Sadly the daughter is emotionally unstable, it is okay for the sake of the story in short run but in long one it become anoying at some point, now if in the future it will change in more romanting relation between them and she become more stable in her feelings it would be perfect.

The ntr don't exist at all dunno why this game have tag ntr, the julia and deb sex It's barely call that a "ntr" I was expecting more dark side on Submissive when deb have more control even if is kinetic story the choose it's a bit different than other one example on Dominant mc have more control on deb interraction.

The renders or graphic I like it is not masterpiece but it's good enough, sex scene also ar pretty good late you will have more option to view but it can be improve more.

Overall this game don't deserved 1 star I play many games in this years, and trust me when I say I know when a game have bad story or good one, this one is definitely a good one.

And I'm definitely want to see more how progress will go with this game I wish good luck to dev and to have a strong willpower to finish and not to abandon this great game.

The women don't look great and as it's numerously mentioned in the thread for the game there is unavoidable NTR, not even the non-insulting kind, and the MC is the most passive beta cuck in the world. Totally unenjoyable.

The visuals are decent, not groundbreaking but not terrible .

the caracthers are clearly defined and thats where the problems begin, the mc its a passive characters in the story requiring someone else to move the story, that falls to the sister who is show to have a selfish strike when it comes to her own intrest(sex), from the moment she is introduced to the rest of the characters she waste no time trying to seduce the daughter of the mc despite the fact that shes so needy for affection that she acepts her advances(sometimes unconsciously)as a replacement for the affection of the mc that as far as she nows,leave her and her mother

and there comes the second problem; the story

the way the story is told expect us to belive that its all the fault of the mc for not comunicating with other, that its true.......for only 10% of the plot, the other 90% its the fault of the family and the wife for the terrible solution they use. pretend shes leaving him to somehow force him to change his course,hiding their location from him and not allowing to see his daugther and expeting him in the end to forgiven them all for the pain they put him and the daughter because its all for his own good. this obviously doesn't work ending with the wife dead,the mc feeling gilty for something that wasn't his fault and the daughter groing up thinking he leave them.

then it all comes out, he learns the truth, his sister lied to him for years, his mother lied to him for years, hes angry the daughter is angry, hes finally going to take the rains of the plot........and then his mother shows up and basically emotionally blackmail him to think that its all his fault(again) ***sighs***
in conclussion there is potential in the story and even in the characters but the way the story is framed you are likely to belive that the family has an abusive idea of how to help the mc with hes clear but exagerated problem with comunication.

I thoroughly enjoy this VN, The story and characters are interesting. While they're a highly dysfunctional family, the way they interact with each other becomes ever more understandable as their interpersonal relationships get revealed. The character designs are also a nice break away from the standard cookie cutter models of so many games, Debs ever changing looks throughout her life helps illustrate her erratic nature perfectly, and Milly is just an amazingly hot little package, can't wait to see some nice x-rated scenes with her.

If I were to pass along some words of advice to the Dev it would be to ignore the detractors on this site! Make the game the way you want it and don't let their fragile masculinity bother you one bit.

Very solid game with intresting story and good renders. There is alot of reading so its not for ppl who just want to fap, but if you enjoy good buildup with some drama I would say play and have fun, I sure am.

Update V0.19 -

Color me surprised. I have to say since I played the game over 2 years ago it has improved a lot. Sure, there are still some moments I want to scream at the MC for being an idot in certain situations, but overall it's not bad.

However, my main nitpick is the writing. It needs a major overhaul from the beginning. There are many times where the wrong name is on the screen during conversations. Such as the MC's name when Julie and Phoebe's mom are talking. The grammar at times is atrocious to say the least.

The so called "animations" look like they are separate png's that have been stiched together. They aren't fluid and look klunky. With today's computers it's a lot easier for dev's to make animations look really good.

I've read some reviews about the whole ntr debate and I didn't see or feel once that was the case. The sister can be overwhelming at times about sexual situations, but I never felt the MC was going to get any of his LI's "taken" away from him.

Overall, I have to give the game 3.5 stars mainly for the dialogue and animations. If they get a major overhaul this game could be pretty decent.
