There's no need to read minds, reading what I wrote is enough. Why the fucking fuck do you decided that I'm not a "regular forum user" while it's precisely what I am...

Among those who answer the few "from where are you" polls, less than a third are US citizen, a third are European, and the rest come from the rest of the world. So, assuming that around 60% are not native English speakers seem a good guess.
If you take into account that the majority never post, a basic English level is enough to understand how to navigate through the forum. And anyway there's the possibility to read the forum in your native language through browser add-ons and other. You can notice them when they decide to quote someone, because the BBCode tags are also translated.
Add to this that around half members just want to fap on games, and therefore aren't too bothered if they don't understand the dialog.
In the end, I guess that at least 30% of the members don't speak English, or do it with an (English speaking) primary school level.

The last poll regarding the age range give 30% between 18-25, and 40% between 25-34. If you extrapolate from the previous poll, there's around 45% below 30yo, therefore who have high chance to have grown with insta-answers systems and who didn't learned the value that previous answers can have.

As surprising as it can seem, it's English.
I'm not fluent in English and understand very little, and I've used very few forums in my life to understand how it works, but I always search and translate with a translator or with the Google tool, and that's precisely why I made this topic with a real doubt, since I didn't understand why the topic had simply disappeared, and I'm very new to this game, and I saw that there were warnings of false positives, so I went after information from the topic, and I saw that people said that by deleting the main exe and tlsasalsa I don't know what, I could avoid more risks since the bin already ran the game without any problems, and until then I've never had any problems (I think) with the game, and as an AMD user I came to see if the hotfix had already come out here, and I came across the lack of the topic and was surprised, I never imagined that my doubt would escalate in a discussion of this level LOL

Well, now that my questions have been answered and such, if anyone can inform me about the current situation of the game and if the developer solves this problem I would appreciate it, since I can't subscribe to the game's Patreon and I don't trust other sites enough, I would be very grateful to know how it is going

We do not have time to do a deep dive and reverse engineer games, so we have to make a judgement call in situations like this.

Given that the exe is now detected by 20 AVs, the developer is seemingly uninterested in addressing these rampant issues, and there have been situations where developers have bundled malware in official builds in the past, the judgement was to disable the thread. Although there's been a history of detections with the game, it's now grown to a point where it's far too suspicious to keep, especially given the current climate.

If, in the future, the developer addresses this, then the thread can be restored.

If you're happy with the risks involved, then support the developer and download it from their Patreon, or you can find it on kemono.cr.

I guess that you're the kind of people who would be surprised to see a building being demolished after it having had tons of warning about how unstable it is and how dangerous it can be to enter it...
No, but I'm the kind of person who would be surprised to see a building being demolished after being told publicly it wouldn't even be touched < 3 months earlier. :cautious:

Couldn't pass it up. Kind of like how it's hard not to see if a thread (or game/mod/content) continues to cause more problems, proportionally to its size, than it should that it may end up locked or removed.

Yeah, makes sense. Way too suspect to be considered a false positive. Thing is, it was easy to defuse: just delete truefacials.exe, which is where all the detections are from, and start the game with bin.exe (clean).

From my own digging around it seems the suspect.exe is included for applocale emulation purposes, hence the folder ntleas (aplocale emulator). Delete both truefacials.exe and the ntleas folder, or upload without those included, start the game with bin.exe = problem solved.

Not entirely relevant, but just recently, several dozen games by Dumb Koala disappeared. And basically, when other games were deleted and they weren't in your bookmarks, it was impossible to track what the administration had decided to delete or close.
Would it be difficult to create some kind of list?
I don't know the reason why those were removed, but it's Dumb Koala so I guess it's rule 7. Making a list of them is a pretty bad idea if rule 7 could've been involved.

Again, all I wanted to know was if other threads met a similar fate to the TrueFacials one.
I don't think it's very common. Every time a thread gets the axe, someone makes a post like this and I rarely see them. I agree the reasoning this time is... well, iffy, but usually they have solid reasons for it. Like the KK card sharing thread was apparently being used to share real **? (Don't quote me on that, I didn't really keep up with that one)
With games you sometimes see people make topics to complain if it's been locked or removed or merged and resources supposedly got lost. I think that once happened with Bo Wei's games.

So, I did this, and it works fine, and there's nothing being flagged. Why doesn't the uploader just make a "cleaned" download going forward and just do this with all the future releases? I haven't played it in depth this way but I was able to start the game, move characters around, and test basic functions and it seems to be working just fine?

Idk if the site staff are okay with that. I highly doubt the dev is going to make any changes for F95. Users should only be downloading from verified links in the first post, anyway, so any risk they take on from downloading from a link someone else posts is on them.

We put notice in the OP stating this. Still got a ton of reports and users just flooding the thread with virus reports.

Now that you mention that, i have spotted a few exes from other games getting axed by AV if using locale software or emulators.
Possible trend, managable, albeit bit of a nuisance.
Ah well.

Wow people ignoring the notice and freaking out anyway? Where's that "first time?" meme, it seems appropriate. Still, to be fair though, the OP warning was pretty weak: "Use your own judgement". --I'm horny, I have no judgement.
