This is what I vaguely remember. It had a male protagonist, the beginning was vague and you got into a fight with a guy outside a bar and you could choose to beat him or get beat up. After, there's a girl who can make you a vampire. But she's your "partner in crime" and lives with you in an apartment whilst you go out and investigate stuff.
I vaguely remember there being a nurse/doctor character who you can have sex with, but she has quests too and lets you research there.
