Identify Trying to find that one game that you can infiltrate kingdoms

I'm trying to find that one game where in the storyline you could infiltrate kingdoms and make them your vassals. I remember one region was in the desert and there was a quest where you had to look sth up in a cave, there was also a caravan.. There was also an innocent girl that you could chose to manipulate or not.
