Trying to mod Final Fantasy XIV need some help

Today I found out that FFXIV have quite a strong modding community so I decided to try out some of the mod. Therefore i had a few question:
Is there something I should know about because i already had a small experienced with modding skyrim?
Am i need to download some sort of Script Extender like skse?
Is it hard to mod FFXIV like Skyrim?
Lastly what mod do you guys recommend for me? I mainly focus on bondage, bdsm, hardcore stuff.

It all starts with
