I keep trawling through the tags that I remember from it, but I can't seem to find it!
You played as a redheaded woman (who was originally made), transformed to be that way by a mage trying to avoid his fate of being killed by you. It's a Visual Novel type game, but has this grid-based combat system. There are catgirl and cowgirl scenes/transformations to your 2d sprite, but these were toggleable. You were also a member of the (Bounty Hunters / Adventurers Guild / Similar).
