Here we go.

- UI translated

- Opening video subbed - there are some spoilers too, as in case with Kabe... 1, so beware, but if you want to watch it and fail to read the subs fully, especially around chars descriptions in the middle of it, don't forget you can play the video called op.mpg in a player, pause it etc. CTRL/Enter or just maybe mouseclick should skip it in-game once it plays.

- Scenes' descriptions translated (tsuma_define.dat)

- included no-frills Naoya's flowchart and Google-tranlsated screen from . There are 7 saves on the first page made in accordance with it, endings numerated correspondingly too. Memories/CG 100% unlocked.

- Naoya's POV done - pending some small edits as a way of polisihing before the final release, if something catches my or anyone's eye.

- Others' POVs - included unedited mix of Deepseek/Amogus in Squid Game translation made a few years back for the scenes, roughly 50/50 split in terms of volume, no breaks. The reason is in this game it's not one POV following after another, or in this case 'others' POV' as it includes 3 chars, but it kind of sprinkles some of the others' POV scenes even before you finish Naoya's POV and opt 'not to view Kanae's prologue'. Couldn't stand seeing raw dialogues in MC POV, which I tried to cover as sort of halfway milestone, so...

That was one of a couple of surprise I was in for, the other one being - the game only seemingly allows to use 2 lines of dialogues. I did breaks with Segoe UI in mind, then had to revert to smaller Ebrima font, redo the breaks, and also had to make AI paraphrase around a couple of dozen of dialogues to fit into two lines even with Ebrima.

So keeping this in mind desperate ones can probably cover the whole game (no breaks will only mean some words will be split in the mid, also perhaps few lines won't fit in if they are too long, and yes it requires editing, but it still is way above Sugoi etc. quality wise).

As for translation - done using onomatopoeia, i.e. pretty much romaji for the sounds in the scenes, honorifics kept, some exceptions as with Kabe... 1 are made (gulping, eating, cumming, though there's not much of that). For the sake of consistency and simplicity Dad (for Naoya) and Father (for Kanae) used in translation when they address or refer to Nobuyuki, capitalized (in absolute majority of cases they address Nobuyuki so it had to be capitalized). Mom and Mother for Naoya's mother, respectively. I quickly mass-replaced in-laws to Father and Mother in others' POV (the only thing I did there).

I'll take it slower now so my own expectation to be finished somewhere in Jan or Feb, but I might update the script earlier once I go over the others' POV in the spreadheet and place the breaks, so it'll be some 99% final.

P.S. I edited the exe file to enforce using Ebrima instead of MS Gothic for the backlog, as the breaks were totally fucked up there with MS Gothic (can check by downloading original exe file without DRM from ANIM website. It kept using MS Gothic for backlog even as I'd chosen Ebrima in the options), but it also made the game use Ebrima for the choices, and they look not aligned at the center. Trying to play with some spaces in the script didn't help. Write if you have any ideas about how to mitigate this.

If you plan to download just the patch - uncompressed - make sure you have the proper version of the game (with Rui scene and bonus Kanae scene available after you've beaten the game).

I thought bonus scene(s) were provided for pre-ordering the game this time, but it turns out there is DramaCD too. Please share it if you have it, or at least the links cause it seems it was posted online originally in 2015, but all the links are long dead since then. Also, if you're an Englophone and see something requiring correction, you can DM me or write here, e.g. I used 'sexyness' on the first page of memories, but it just looks too strange for me or maybe I misspelled it somehow.

I started playing and the TL is pretty much perfect, well done guys!
Still having the problem I cannot set it to fullscreen, but that's no big deal.
Hoping the drama cd is found at some point.

I can't set it to fullscreen either so I make use of Lossless Scaling.

My expectation is to drop the updated script around 26-28th of December to let people play it while it's still holiday. Roughly the same quality as Naoya's POV, just everything. One pass of editing over spreadsheet, then one more playing through.

Then I'll polish it some, slap together notes and more presentable flowchart etc., then upload in January or maybe February, whatever. Cause it'll be like >99% done script-wise and it'll be here, for those who are interested.

Okay, . Just copy over an older patch if you already has it or first get the older patch (with pics and all) few posts above and then copy over this newer script.

As for the bonus scenes - there is one scence with Rui, which plays automatically after one of the endings, and another one is accessible when you start a new game (pick bonus scene) after reaching 'wiretapping' ending where Naoya follows Kanae and Nobuyuki on their trip and listens in (have to pick 'collect more evidence' instead of 'forcing divorce' as the last choice there IIRC), couldn't grasp how to find it for some time to check the script playing through the game.

I do hope I used all the lastest patches and files (both bonus scenes wouldn't actually be available, if I weren't), and I tried to double check it again by copying the patch files and original de-DRMed exe file from Anim website, but it still looks to me that there are some issues left e.g. during said trip Naoya sees them kissing on the train platform, and a pic with shorter hair for Kanae is used, whilst at this point she has longer, lighter hair. Also it seemed to me that in one of the scenes in the bathroom (anal in reverse cowgirl position, longer hair, towards the end) she was pregnant at the time, but her belly looked really small, like she was not. Or maybe it's all messed up in my head now...

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and all that.

Turns out when they published MM Netorare Pack in 2016 (and maybe later in 2019 with Netorare Netorase Yokubari Set) they used some updated version of the game (compact edition), which is said to work better in Win10 and it has no issues with switching to full-screen mode, so I kind of migrated everything there. The link above is to uncopmressed version on my Mega, temporarily.

One major thing to note - fonts... look different. Lines seem to be able to contain more chars, but I decided against changing breaks for now, at least, and not that I've had time yet anyways, so they might look placed early on quite some occasions, but this also gives you some leeway in choosing similarly sized to Ebrima fonts (like Segoe UI/semibold, Leelawadee UI, Malgun Gothic, Nirmala UI, YU Gothic UI/semibold).

The problem is they look different and shitty somehow to me, some of them. In windowed mode anyways, as I don't use full-screen as it stretches fully my to 3440x1440 monitor on AMD and distorts proportions. E.g. Segoe UI has dots over 'i' positioned noticeably to the left and some kerning issues (spacing after 'm'). My favorite is YU Gothic UI semibold which is quite condensed but pretty thick and reads well IMO, you can try thinner not semibold variant, and see generally what works for you from the listed or similar fonts, Ebrima included, BUT - for backlog YU Gothic UI was enforced by editing exe file).

A bit about DramaCD - mentioned MM Netorare Pack and Netorare Netorase Yokubari Set seemingly have additional bonus CD/DVD with dramas/music for included games, but they're hard to come buy, although they're newer. Usually just the games get uploaded, e.g. on Anime Sharing. Maybe someone else will have more luck with the packs.

Other noticeable links -

Seemingly original post where links for DramaCD were posted, links are dead, but it says there's something else perhaps, if you register (under Baidu Cloud and 360 Cloud links).

- invite to 2DJGAME discord where one could ask for DramaCD/link?

something here too, but I forgot, and can't access it now.

Maybe someone will be in a mood to look at this, cause I don't think I'll take it any further - working on the game itself is enough pain in the ass on its own...

Is there any difference other then windows10/fullscreen optimizations between the new and old one?

I found the volume levels better mixed in the new one. I had to mute background voices because they were too high in the previous version. Besides that.... nothing. Just fullscreen.

I tried searching but it really is hard to find it. Mikocon is no good fwiw. Not gonna bother with 2djgame.
