This dev has found his niche: Anime 2D girl + Zombies + Turn Based Roguelike gameplay.

The only difference I see is the CG and the background images of a city instead of a bunker. Meh.
i dont mind this at all because this way he can go straight to making lewd content, otherwise you need to spend months on the combat system and non lewd related art. I just hope they dont cuck out on extreme content this time we havent seen any dogs yet.

The blood on defloration has been toned down too... significantly I would say. It's too early to tell, but I guess we'll see if the self-censorship continues.

From the page 2:

Tunnel Escape was for a while in /Translation Requests.

  • The Japanese version (later English version) got shared there.
  • The dev decided they didn't like that lol. Asked to stop sharing it and got an obvious "no".
  • Came back to insulting everyone, while Elzee deleted all msgs and got banned some quotes can still be found here. Also the whole lore should be in that thread.
  • Started to implement a "Code" DRM where you have to input a code that verifies online.
  • If its wrong at some point it could seriously damage your PC - this was implemented as the new code obviously was shared with the game
  • Got Patreon and (I think Itch too) suspended because the game was reported being dangerous what was correct
  • "Downgraded" the code to only may corrupt/deletes saves.
  • "Downgraded" again to only close the game, that was the last version before it got cracked.
  • All the above, well to nobodies surprise fucked the subs too :KEK:
  • (Note all the Code stuff is from Memory I could be slightly off)
  • Ohh btw Elzee blames pirates for the code shit, that WE implemented the dangerous version of the code DRM :KEK:
  • I think we only got like 2 or 3 cracked version until the stream release happened anyways.
  • Now the game is published by Saikey Studio whoms even has an account here. And the game on Steam is DRM free too LMAO
Think thats a good summery please let me know if I forgot shit.
I swear, this should be pinned or placed on the front page as a reminder... Bob69 Can you pin it somehow?

problem is didnt improve combat. In games like you described there are improvements.
Eh, I mean the game from what I understand just got either its first, or one of its first few early builds. Still time for gampeplay to be changed up in some way, and I haven't even given it a try yet.

That said, I really don't know how much I'd say RE3 improved on RE2 really, considering most see RE2 as the superior title of the two, ESPECIALLY if you start getting into their respective remakes, but its also not fully comparable to begin with imo.

Honestly though? If this game can be content rich, or at the very least have a good development cycle and add some new flairs that the original game didn't have, even if minor, I won't really mind honestly. First game is one of those rare H-games I've found that I just enjoyed playing for the actual gameplay without any of the actual sex going on, it just made for an added bonus. Hell, before the full release, I even had a virgin character all the way through the Hospital section, still need to get around to playing the full release all the way through, but got a bit burnt out just playing the early releases for, an admittedly, ridiculous amount of time.

In other words, really, if it ain't broke don't fix it. I'm okay with the base gameplay pretty much, if not outright being fully the same, and I'd much rather we have a sequel that is a little too samey to the first game, rather than have a situation like say, Darkest Dungeon where the second game tries to get a little too different from its predecessor, ultimately losing a lot of its charm in the process.

I dont want to derail this conversation too much, but the RE 2 remake improved upon the original RE 2 alot while RE3 remake wich was made by different devs reduced the deptht of the game

RE2 originally, didnt have MR X as a roaming enemy, it was just a bossfight
RE3 originally had an entire system for nemesis chasing you but this basicly didnt exist in RE3 remake the way it did originally

So basicly the remakes and the originals are kindof reversed when it comes to gameplay evolution

I'll proabably give this one a shot at some point. The first one was like eh, kind of alright.

Yeah what a fucking improvement lmao. An obnoxious invincible stalker enemy. My favorite.

I do wish there were some consensual stuff tho. More of what the first one had with the commissioner and even more surface exploration, instead of the ole tunnels only
