I can't understand what's going on: UAGC absolutely refuses to compress this game Lutnak Quest [Final [IOLITE] It decrypts the images fine, but can't see them afterward, even when trying again with the already decrypted images.
Moreover, there is a compressed version in this topic that was made specifically through UAGC. Two other games by this author compressed without any problems using the same settings.

Try to rename game folder from "Lutnak·Quest" to "LutnakQuest" and if not helped then try to disable marked red features, I dunno why u enable it since they not to be used commonly but with specific cases.

Thank you, I will try. I thought that if they are not needed in a specific compression, they simply wouldn't be used even if marked, since there were no problems with them before (games were compressed properly, and no errors occurred during gameplay).
Is it possible to add checkboxes for checking the size of compressed files to the saved settings so that they don't have to be checked again at each startup?

It didn't help. UAGC decrypts images normally again, but after that it doesn't recognize them (the status window shows the number of any files as 0). Attempting to recompress an already decrypted game also yields no results. Judging by the compression date from another person, it worked a year ago.
Of course, I could just skip this, but I would like to figure it out, especially since if it was previously compressed, that means there's now some kind of error somewhere.

Figured it out. A very bad person used a barely noticeable non-standard character in the name of the unpacked folder, which blended with the name (a dot in the center), and this caused the problem.

Thats why I've told u to rename folder in 1st place since about 90% problems with RPGM games is non standard folder name or name (with star for MTL ones) of txt file inside.

Was about to say lol.
I'd always first go for renaming the folder (there are symbols that are not shown so ya can't even see it that fucks it up). And after that move to C:// directly.

I forgot to ask another question: I'm testing the checkbox "del junk nw.js files" and so far I haven't noticed any problems with compressed games, but the tooltip says "use at your own risk." How safe is it to check this checkbox? I tried searching the internet and asking AI, and I found information that all listed files are 99% likely to be junk, as they should be deleted after the game is compiled. However, notification_helper is a controversial exception, since in theory it can either be compiled into the game's code, be an external module, or remain as junk after compilation.

I can only say that agree about 99% safe to delete, nothing more to add. Testing also didn't showed any problems.

A Date with D.Va [v0.2] [KantaLabs] Already compressed?
It's coz big live2d .cmo3 files, after game compression and unpack from rpa if u compress it with ultra 7z afterwards then game should be ~500Mb.

I'm having trouble compressing Mac games? I select "Build MacOS version" and then "compress all games in folder" and then select the compiled mac distribution folder. It opens and runs, but clearly does nothing. No compression.

This not how it supposed to work, UAGC can compress only PC versions of games but not Mac ones (this is pointless anyway coz of permission problems and etc). So proper way to get compressed MacOS version:
1) Extract (if not done) PC (actually it doesn't matter, it could be some PotatoOS build but main thing is that in folder u compress with UAGC RenPy compressor there should be "game" subfolder) version of game to some simple path folder.
2) Open UAGC (make sure that u didn't extracted it to Downloads folder, best install path something like "D:\UAGC") select "Build MacOS version" and press "Compress Ren'Py". I don't recommend to use compress all games unless u rly need it and in this case u should select for example folder with games like "D:\games" which contains PC versions of RenPy games in it.

Thanks for the quick response, looks like it worked now.

I can't compress 2 games:
Sakura's Chapter [v1.0] [Fujino]
Sword Art Online: The Trap of Breath Concealed Magic [verβ1] [Fujino] (chapter 2)
I renamed the game folders, UAGC processes the files, but for some reason doesn't compress them. Moreover, in the threads with these games there are compressed versions (I wanted to compress them with my own quality settings), but I can't manage to do it. I can't understand what the problem is. Pls help.

Better ask who compressed those games especially since ur info is not enough to debug (u usually misses important info like at the end of game compression dialog screenshot where u need to check if instead of proper compressed size in % u could see some additional gibberish text like game path and etc that means u most likely didn't renamed game properly).
I can only advice:
1) Rename game folders to simpler names like A for 1st and B for second.
2) Try default settings (yeah, according ur screenshot it's about 95% default but try/check again anyway)
3) Try it with older version UAGC (from OP, currently it's UAGC v3.1.3 v12).

megalol is it possible to include in UAGC a feature for automatic folder renaming (for example, to "a") before starting compression, with reverse renaming after compression, for any available compressors (especially for RPGM)? As I understand it, in this case there might be a problem with file comparison, so the comparison should take place either before renaming and after reversing, or after renaming and before reversing.

I'll think about it but most likely wouldn't do it since for u it takes about 1 sec to manually rename the game to "A" but for UAGC it could lead to possible issues and some feature not working correctly.

If this is a one-time case, I agree, but if games are compressed very often, especially if several games are unpacked daily for upcoming compression, this feature could make the compression work easier, as monotonous routines are always better automated, especially if they are easy to get confused in. But since this could lead to problems, I understand why it probably won't be implemented. I just thought that if there is a file renaming function (and there are often thousands of them), then temporary renaming of a single folder should not cause any issues.
