Oh, I thought you wanted to build a distribution with UAGC after you compressed it.

This tool is for compressing audio/images/video, it's not meant for that.

Actually it can (but better do it manually using RenPy SDK GUI) by manually selecting RenPy SDK version for rebuilding and selecting distribution type in settings. But I dunno why he needs to update (btw it already build with quite recent SDK version that have avif/AV1 support) and don't wanna know coz don't have time to waste, there were very good modder that complained every time when devs updated game engine that could say more why it's a bad idea if he hopefully come back. Probably it's not working for him because not installed RenPy SDK as it said at OP.

Yeah, that's what I was getting at that would need to be done with the SDK, but as you said I'm gonna say they didn't install all the SDK's that come with it.

- Updated Escu:de game engine compressor for Yamizome Liberator support (I've dropped bmp files support for this engine because it's compresses badly [big quality loss and not much file size reduction] anyway and can't work properly together with png compression so if you wanna compress games like "Re;Lord" then use older UAGC versions)

Strange but animations in midgame is glitchy/gittering and with uncompressed version all fine (started both at same time with same save to test) and with previous compressions it worked fine as well. I'm gonna go sleep now so if u need saves for problematic place let me know and I'll upload it when I awake.

Yeah. I will probably try again tomorrow then. Dunno what the problem could be. Just a normal compression.
Will try to leave the .rpas unpacked.

The game had IIRC no videos.

Thats why I've said animations (not videos) = sequence of images. Actually videos also could be called sequence of images but encoded to 1 file using some video codec. Usually animations are less smooth than videos but it mostly depends on numbers of frames per second (FPS).

Wanted to compress Monster Park 2 as it was translated by Dazed I looked into it, he needs to unpack the files too to translate them. I found this

The Mediafiles are unpackable with Garbro but not sure how to repack them then.

xorxorrax wrote the script for Dazed to unpack and repack (I think) the script files.

But if dazedanon with help of other got the script unpacked and repacked it should be possible with the mediafiles too. Right? RIGHT?

Yeah was just talking with Dazed, Unity seems the other way around, we can repack the media files of some games, but he didn't find shit to unpack scripts to a blank text file

For now it seems a waste of time for me since extracted jpg files not opens with XnView MP and md_cvX.med files not wants to unpack at all which are big part of the game, md_graX.med are biggest part of game but it also have some weird format after unpacking, extracted music files (from md_bgm.med) also in some weird format that I dunno how convert/compress. Also unpack process is slow as fck but it's not biggest problem here anyway and GhatGPT probably would solve it.

Ok, np, maybe in future if tool would be improved I'll be able to use it but for now I can't even pack files back (creates 1Kb file). Maybe I've done something wrong and we need script developer here to explain some things but if even all worked as expected I think that it wouldn't worth to compress this game anyway if only md_jpg.med contain jpg files that are compressable coz max it could do is to make the game about 1Gb smaller.

There was one of the sound packs that had ogg in it. I don't know how many of then had oggs though. But wouldn't save that much more. And the question is always how much is the 7zip compression already doing from what we could do too.

So yeah prob not worth. Also prob not worth even trying further as I never saw that engine and doubt there will be much more of it. (If dazed doesn't have more games to translate that is).

I'll probably give this game one more chance later since figured out that for jpg (and probably for prs) it needs to unpack using cli_gra.py and same for repacking images back, also nowhere mentioned that to repack images it should be copy to gra_output folder first.
