I personally prefer this version - as all images, videos and music files are "loose" as like with ren'py - and can be easily viewed or modded if you wish to do so.
Plus it feels and looks more like ren'py.
I also included help files, etc. in the Info Folder.


It took me a while to make this - and if you go see on their download page - you'll understand why!

It has voice acting, I don't know if there's an android version but I really wouldn't recommend reading long VNs on a phone.

I don't think that one will work. On the Umi Project download page a compatible version of the witch hunt script is provided. It's listed just below the Game engines section. That version of the script is needed and is highly recommended.

Finished the game with the Umineko Project translation/patch - and was quite satisficed.

The witch hunt translation is the very first english translation project for Umineko afaik and highly regarded because the creator ryukishi07 himself endorsed it back in the day. If I'm not mistaken they are the ones translating Ciconia officially. Well I don't know how they differ tbh but I'm curious why the Umi Project devs decided to translate it themselves instead of using the existing one but I can imagine a few reasons for sure.

It's a bit rusty in a few places. It's dated and yet some fans prefer it. So neither are bad options, go for whichever you like.
