has a class that specialises in "Fist Weapons" which I assume would count? (Any character can be any of the classes in the game, so any character can be made to use them)

Whether it counts or not depends on how the game projects the character utilizing their fists.
If it only shows particle effects with no signs of the character ever present on screen, I'd say that's lacking
Text-based on the other hand, you can imagine how the scenario goes and that alone for me is enough to consider them as one (if it does have an unarmed combat content) although it also depends on how the developer wrote the fighting scenes in text.
