I'm going to start by saying I didn’t play the original, so I went into Underboss Life without any expectations.
The story is well written and keeps your attention throughout the playthrough. The pacing feels right, and it does a great job of building interest in both the plot and the characters.
The graphics are clean and polished — you can really tell that time and care went into making everything look good.
One of my biggest pet peeves with some AVNs is when there’s no music or sound effects, but Underboss Life doesn’t have that problem at all. The music fits the mood perfectly, and the sound effects really add a layer of depth to the experience. It made the world feel more alive and immersive.
I also like that the MC has some clear development tied to his upbringing. It gives him more depth and makes his actions feel grounded. The big question for me is whether we’ll get the chance to shape his path further — will we be able to influence his choices and steer him down different roads? I hope so, because that could make things even more engaging.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed playing through Underboss Life and can’t wait to see where the story goes next.
