VN - Ren'Py - Unexpected Opportunity [Ch. 6] [Sweetychily]

I can usually get behind a slow burn because a build up/tease to stuff is nice. But this is straight blue ball/disappointment territory. It's almost been a year since the first post was made on the patreon in May 22, 2023 and we're at v6 with not even a hand job. If you're looking at trying this I would wait another year or so then maybe the MC will whip out his dick or something.

The porn to game ratio is super off here. It felt like every scene was leading to a sex scene that never came. Skip this unless you like blue balls and walls of text. Also the 2 choices boil down to "girl liked that, girl disliked that"

From the look of things, all the girls are getting a fair depth to their character.
Now if you're one of the high and mighty "you call this character? yes the girls are not clones but they are just deviations of the otherwise standard" maybe this will be on the spectrum of not quite enough for you.

The girls honestly look quite good.
This has a harem tag so I can go ahead and escape from reality without being concerned about an unpleasant jolt back to reality.

I admit to being intrigued to learn about the ex's infidelity/not infidelity but worse than infidelity in her opinion.

I want to see where this goes. I'm not dead set on seeing it through to the end if it goes a way I don't follow.
I think most of you'll should like this. Then again I don't know what the majority's preferences are so I could be mistaken.

Nice enough story. Extremely slow moving and doesn't really seem to be going anywhere but it's also not offensive in any way. Not dramatic, not exciting, and more like a kinetic novel with very few 'choices' that don't really seem to matter much and it's certainly not a game.

Very pretty female characters each with their own characteristics. The MC looks weird in that he looks like he's in his mid 30's but is supposed to be 20ish I think. Would be much better if they never showed him.

I don't mind the no sex part yet, though it is up to chapter 5. It's just that it doesn't look like there will ever be any sexual/romantic relationships. The MC is pretty boring and doesn't show any interest in that.

There was one part where the MC kissed a sleeping lady on the forehead......so that was pretty racey I guess....lol

There is a magic refrigerator in the MC's apartment. Single door when closed but a double door when open...

Another neat feature is people can swim around and never get wet.... hair stays dry and everything.... Hair doesn't even move.

By chapter 2 or 3 I was really bored with Lisa, the main female character as she and her husband are boring and by then it would have been nice to focus on other things.

This is a pretty good game. I personally like slow burn games. Now people are talking about the paywalled content. Now here is the truth about the paywall, first off its not a demo and the rest is behind a patreon paywall. What people failed to understand is that the game was alreadt at ch 4 before the dev decided he would give everyone a taste of ch 5 ( hence the demo) the game itself is not a demo only the release of ch 5 was. The dev was already going to release the full version of ch 5 here but people went apeshit before learning the whole story. Anyways that's neither here nor there.

The game itself is the story of a guy that has relationship issues due tobelieving that his ex has cheated on him. We find out that the truth is that she didnt but she feels guilty for some other thing that we still dont know about. The MC need to get his life back on track and for that there are many different women to help him out. There is pretty much a wide range of women here from curvy to slim, older to younger. We are still in the beginning of the story so I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes. Also to those that say it has no content and already at ch 5. Yes you are correct it not that long but realize that the game has only been out for about 7 to 8 months and has been updated regularly. A big plus for me. Other games at 7 months have about the same but since it's not split up into small chapters noone complains. Anyways the renders are good not the best but good enough, the story is interesting if you actually read it. It's a slow burn but the sex scenes will eventually appear (that I pretty much got from the devs) so if your looking for a quick fap, this game is not for you. If you are looking for a little more character building and story give it a chance.

Well, it's getting better - so i raise my origin 2 stars up to 3 stars now.
Still some of the mentionned issues still apply - therefore i doin't give more (for now)

Basically i should give 1 star, but there are worse games so i want to be fair and give this one 2.
Still a bad rating - the reason is simple:
1.) renders are bit grainy
2.) posing ond lighting set on renders is at best mediocre
3.) Story is boring and there's no real action else than teasing
4.) (And this is the main reason), it's only a "demo" - Seems like all "good" content is hidden for patreon version. Calling this "demo" is actually another way not to say "paywall"
5.) "Demo", "Paywall" or any other form of advertising is nothing you expect from a good game.

So - aside the average quality and the non-existing quantity of lewd stuff, 2 stars is really the very best this "whatever you want to call it" deserves.
A review has to be about what's in the actual game -> and right now, theres no quality nor quantity

Five parts and pretty much no sexual content. There is one time you can watch scenes before you go to bed, but the rest of the game is very good looking models throwing themselves at MC and him turning them down. Not sure what the purpose of this game is.

I really like this game. The story is interesting and the characters, especially the girls, look nice. The way the story is told keeps me hooked, and I'm excited to see what happens next in the updates. There's definitely a big potential.

I had a bug where it looked liked one of the woman jumped in the pool while she's already was in the pool ending up looking like her mid body fused with her under body where it looked like she has 4 legs

I expected more with the amount of milfs in this game

I've been following this game for a while and I have to say that the randers and dialogs get better with each update. The story flow really manages to connect the player to the game. the biggest reasons for this are the fluency of the dialogs, the characters with personality traits and the quality of the randers that can give emotions very well in every scene. I am eagerly waiting for the upcoming updates and where this story will go, thanks to those who make the game.

Good story and dialogues, beautiful girls and good renders.

4 stars only because I don't like the MC.
He looks 30 but thinks and acts like a 15-year-old virgin when he sees a girl for the first time in his life. Too indecisive and naive.

I expected something a little better than a PG rated story. Quite honestly the incessant laughing from various characters is a little obnoxious. I'm not sure why the Dev decided to voice those. I think at the beginning of any VN, that there should be some censorship or PG rating, but as the story progresses that it becomes more 'realistic'. 20 minutes into the dialogue they are still having an 8th grade conversation.

TL;DR - The tags are a lie, the choices don't matter, and nothing happens

Longer form: Great models overall, some glitchy scenes that I was willing to push past for good story and sexy times.

Instead every interaction is about mood-killing trauma the various women have gone through. None of your choices make any real impact on what happens.

I am playing a 0.4 that has no actual sexual interactions. Lots of potential scenes, but the MC is gutless and never makes a real move. Just a total blue-baller.

Not gonna lie, i was expecting this VN to be some mindless & crude sex adventure or more of a boring narrative focused VN. It was neither. Its better. Its still a story focused VN but its well written, evokes emotions with a healthy dose of drama.

Its heavy on the narrative but it does not bore you. Conversations and scenes either help with the world building or touches on the respective character stories. I'm not a fan of slice of life but this VN nails it, i don't find it boring at all. The story feels down to earth and relatable.

MC fresh out of school and stepping into the working world however he is no high flyer and struggles. Doesn't help that he is a slacker. Through fate, he meets people both new and old that helps him settle into life, and he gives back and helps them too in their little network of friends. Overtime he turns his life around, affecting others around him too in a positive way.

The individual character stories really hooked me. MC ended up being a manservant/maid but despite its demeaning reputation there are still good, respectable people in the world who do not judge him for it and even supported him. For the first time, i did not want to cuck the employer who helped me. I wanted to forgive the ex who cheated on me. I feel sorry for the girl who destroys other couple's relationships. I wanted to really help the single mother and her daughter struggling with their past. I wanted to befriend the socially awkward tomboy. I wanted my employer & his wife to be happy and support them as much as i could. It's a soap opera in the making alright but its done right. I don't want to shag these women but instead to befriend & help them. The stories are grounded and just wholesome. I love it.

In fact, its ironic that i'll feel sad when eventually we'll reach the sex or romance part which will kinda break the magic of the story. Its like the situation where you're in love with your bestfriend but do not pursue a relationship with her cos you don't want to destroy the friendship. Some characters like your ex, the tomboy or that vengeful gym girl, yea it'll work. The lonely single mom & her daughter are plausible, a trouple though needs a great amount of creativity to make it realistic. The others, not so much. You grow to care for the characters. No doubt i wanna bed them all but it'll destroy what we have and i don't want to do them dirty, even the supporting male characters.

If you're into it for the sex then avoid this please. This game needs you to think with your heart, not with your dick or brain.

The story is interesting. Beautiful ladies. very good renders.
Even though it's only the 3rd release and still really early in the overall game, it might have some important branching paths and maybe endings. We will see though how things develop. Dev confirmed no NTR, which is nice. Girls have nice personalities. Not much in the way of animation, but it's early. Overall it's fun, and I like it. Good potential here. Only a few grammar issues. There are far worse on F95, lol. 4 Stars and worth every minute. I would recommend this game to anyone.

a nice game with lovable characters and unique personalities , the MC who is not a wimp nor a jerk is always a plus, with decent writing and a well paced story
the only negative thing is the lack of music which was stated by the devs that it will be added in later updates

what I liked :
- the renders are beautiful and well-made without any obvious flaws or noise
- the girls models are sexy
- MC is not an idiot nor a smart ass
- each one of the love interests has a distinct personality some are shy , others are very forward
- the writing is good, definitely above average

what I didn't like :
- no music
- no animations yet

final verdict: 5/5 game, highly recommended

Overall this isn't a bad VN, but it isn't great either.
I will re-evaluate this one after a few more updates.

The story has a good direction, but it's slowly unfolding. That isn't really a bad thing, but personally I feel a bit wanting more of a reason for where the MC is at right now. Hopefully things get hashed out in the future.
The women are good looking.

So far, this story is not very unexpected. It feels like there's a bit too much foreshadowing.

For me, the playing time for v0.1 was 20 mins flat.

Notes:

• Some small spelling and capitalization errors
• Character models are attractive
• The dialogue is… okay. It doesn’t necessarily distract me, but at the same time it still seems a little mechanical. No, the further along I went, the stranger I found the dialogue. Definitely not native English. Wrong words used here and there.
• The sound effects… what am I hearing?

In a nutshell, the story has potential. With some adjusting to the dialogue, it could make for a decent story. Maybe figure out how to not telegraph the "unexpected opportunity" too early and it could be something fun.

I still look forward to seeing where this goes in the future.
