Looks like 220707B will be the final version. Developing that mod was a lot of fun, but I'm pretty much out of ideas, so unless serious bugs are found, there will be no more updates.


I did finish one more mod version, with some significant changes, but it's not compatibile with older games and I don't really feel like fixing it. I'll link it and its changelog in the spoiler below. Consider v.220710 experimental or something.

Music Player - Use 'p' key to bring it up/hide it.
  • Use any music you want. Just put it inside '[your game's main folder]/game/umm/music' (For example 'ParentalLove-version1.1-pc/game/umm/music'). Default songs and playlists are not hard-coded into the mod, you can delete/modify/reorganize them.
  • I'm providing 40 songs (5 songs per playlist/mood: Calm, Dynamic, Happy, Romantic, Sad, Sexy and 10 unsorted) with default download. You can double that numbers by downloading 'Extra' pack. Check the bottom of this post.
  • Playlists: Folders created inside 'umm/music' are automatically turned into playlist. At the moment you can have max. 10 of them (+1 Default that has every single song, both unsorted and from the folders, in it).
  • Play Modes: In order (Alphabetically)/Random/Loop current song.
  • Config: Customizable keybind, player's size, position, opacity and couple other things.
  • Basic/Obvious functions like pausing/next/prev/shuffle...

Just found this today, thank you! I hate playing in silence and normally play random royalty-free songs in the background on Youtube to simulate it lol. Will definitely be using this soon

Bev_ If interested to know, Project Myriam can also be added to the list of games as well. Tested and all works well on my end.

Yeah, included tracks are pretty much just samples. The whole idea of this mod is for people to be able to use their own music, not to provide soundtrack.

Yeah #2
Mod is two years old at this point, I havn't done any coding since and renpy had a lot of updates in that time. So even if it is feasible to make it compatible across all renpy versions, I'm currently not planning on doing so. Sorry.
It still works with older games.
