any chance for some less contrasting/bright color themes? all currently available are really hard on the eyes, even old one wasn't that bad

Ah shit. Sorry. I never looked at that tab. So dumb of me. I thought it was a feature to just rename characters

Good evening,
I'm here to report a bug that I've seen several times since.
When loading a save game on a multiple choice, the default top left menu (choice menu) becomes invisible.
Why do I know it's invisible? Because when I click on the button to display the choices, it works even though I can't see anything.
When I go back to return to the choices, everything works again.
Example game: several, but the one I'm playing does it: "Void's Calling".
Moreover, I've noticed other situations (only on certain games) where the top-left menu doesn't display at all, and only for the new version (not 100% sure here about the new version only).
Game example: it was quite specific but I saw it mostly on "Where It All Began".
Thanks again for your great mod that I really install on all games!

I want to change the color of the MC's name as displayed so it can be better seen on the various backgrounds used in a VN. I've looked at variables with the name "color" and opened the gui.rpy file and found a few things, but nothing that screams at me that this is where I can enter a different RBG value for the MC's name, and I've also searched this thread, but may not be using the right terms.
Here's what I'm seeing - the name is done in this sage kind of color that just gets lost in so many of the screens (look closely for the name "Saul" above the dialogue text). This is one of the more egregious examples, but others are almost as bad. I just want to turn it to something more likely to contrast - brighter green or yellow or something. Can you point out the way for me, please?

That's exactly what custom "Textboxes" are there for in URM:
- Open URM, and select "Textboxes":
- On the next screen, make sure "Enabled" is checked, then click "Add":
- Now you can edit the textbox:
- You can choose for which character you want to do this (green box, default is "Any")
- You can choose how the name is being displayed (red box)
- You can choose how the actual text should be displayed (yellow box)
- You can choose the font, its size and alignment,
- whether or not it should has a background and choose its color,
- if you want a border/outline for your text (incl. color and size/thickness),
- what color the text should be, and
- if you want to display a "side image"
If the game has different built-in colors for different characters, try the "Character color" option both for the background and/or the text itself -- it's great!
- You can at any time click "Preview" in the edit box to get a quick preview of your edited style

Hello everyone... I'm having problems using "URM v2.0.3" in the game, twisted-world, the mod isn't letting me load my new save, can any light help me?

ive also been having this problem, game crashes as soon as you click "new game" with urm. cant add it in after making the save either because the game will just crash again. modifying anything in the save file with an editor will just make the game blackscreen when loading the save
I'm getting a weird error whenever I try to load my save for College Kings. Report below.

Zen mod is installed. Both worked in tandem before updating URM from 1.15.2 to 2.0.3.

The UI on the new version is really hard to look at, any chance we can change the colors, or have the old UI from the previous version?
There must be something wrong you are doing. I use 2.0.3 in joiplay and it works fine including notification, watch panel and theme changing.

I'm using the latest Patreon versions available to the public. I finally got themes working but notifications still aren't.
Edit: I've tried toggling local only, global only and both being on with no effect.

I will add some low contrast themes.
Also, you could theoretically lower the contrast by incrementing the transparency, but that could also make it harder to see

Sorry. I don't think there's much I can do in this case. Your save somehow requires URM v1.x to be installed
Could it be that you loaded a save where you're in a choice already? It's a known issue that the notification will not show in that case. If you just keep going till the next choice, does the notification appear?

No. It's happening on brand new playthroughs, as well as on choices/paths well after loading a save.
Yea, I was afraid of that. I don't suppose there is somewhere that I can redownload URM v1.x?

You can download every ever published version of URM from 0x52's website, see OP for the link.
To be honest, it's not very intuitive to find previous versions, so here is how you can get them:
- On the 0x52 website. click on "Mods" at the very top and then select the URM mod
- On the URM mod page, click on "Load full history" in the "Changelog" section
- You can now click on any version number you'd like to change the top section (the description including the "Download" button!) to switch to that version
- Click the "Download" button to download after you've selected the version you'd like

I'm sorry, I've just tried again, the problem was probably the walkthrough mod, because when I tried again without it, I didn't have the problem anymore.
To reproduce the bug, you have to start a new game with the walkthrough mod, that's when your mod doesn't work.
However, when you load a game, it works correctly.
