VN - Ren'Py - University of Problems [v1.4.5 Extended] [DreamNow]

Close to 5 stars as of v1.1. Plenty of girls to go around: each one is stereotypical but unique in a way. Classic college drama with a meh conflict. Good renders and animations. I recommend to play with walkthrough though as of right now you can pursue pretty much anyone with right choices. Also that's the reason I'm not giving it 5 stars. My MC is sort of a lucked out casanova right now. All the girls wanna keep quiet about the romance and MC doesn't have coinciding dates or meetings with anyone. Some public actions don't cause a gossip around the campus and affect the relationship with other girls. There is only one LI which is dependent on choice. So it is an issue in a genre contending with BAD. I hope my MC will be punished for this at the end. So we can get 4-5 playthroughs worth of content from this game, then it will be on par with BAD.

Mostly a good game, but not without its flaws.

+ Renders are pretty good,
+ Great animations (for DAZ)
+ Expressive characters (hand gestures, looking around, etc.)

- Way too much inner monologue from the MC
- Horrible dialogue (hello my pretty, my beauty..., tee-hee, hee-hee)
- The MC's stupid fucking face

The game is very well made: beautiful models of girls, there is a very simple and clear plot, there are no extra actions to get some points or anything else that distracts and distracts. Some scenes with Rachel and Carol are generally worthy of the attention of the creators of adult films and books - they are thoughtful, beautiful and have adequate timing. Really liked it in the game. The only note about the drawback is that sometimes the 32-bit game file does not allow you to go through the locations according to the plot and that if you use mods, then you will not be able to load your game saves after the update - only with the same mod you have to play again.

I'll start with negatives so that I can end on a more positive note.

There isn't a whole lot of variety in terms of the bodies of the women. They're all shaped pretty much the same. That shape isn't bad or anything, but there really isn't any variety. The animations improve in later episodes, but again, the women all look too similar from the neck down.

The plot is decent enough, but weirdly there is very little actual school experience here. Maybe it's weird to say, but I kind of wanted to see more of like, actual classes. Basketball is mentioned, and it's even a stat, and you're there for like, ten minutes. I don't really like the fact that the MC and one of the main girls are talking about how much they love each other after only knowing each other for about ten days, but that might bother me more than it would the average person.

The real problem - and there's really not a nice way to put it - is that the translation is atrocious, and hasn't gotten any better in the 15 months since the last time I played it. I respect the effort that goes into designing these, but the resulting word salad that is the narration and dialogue sounds like nothing that has ever been uttered by an English speaker, ever. When it's not nonsensical, the occasional sophisticated word is thrown in. Unfortunately, it's never in a context that has been used in real life, which makes it seem like it just came from a Google search somewhere. And sometimes, it's just absolute unintentional comedy gold, where it's trying to be serious but it ends up sounding absolutely ridiculous.

Also, hee-hee, the actual dialogue is terrible, ha-ha. Tee-hee-hee, at the best it's absolutely cringeworthy, hee-hee, and the lovey-dovey dialogue that the MC has with his sweetie-pies starts within like, 10 days of meeting some of the girls, hee-hee. Ha-ha-ha, mockery aside, I'm really not trying to be mean, hee-hee, but you have to call them like you see them, ha-ha-ha, and it really is that bad, hee-hee. Hee-hee, I get that this is difficult and no one works for free, tee-hee, but if you want to write your story in English and want to be compensated for your hard work, hee-hee, then it's reasonable to have expectations, and this just falls woefully short, ha-ha-ha. Hee-hee, play this game for twenty minutes, tee-hee, and this paragraph won't even feel like competent satire anymore, hee-hee.

On more positive notes, the animation improves as time goes on. Basically every girl is a yoga master, so the resulting positions are...interesting, to say the least. The overall plot is running the risk of becoming needlessly labyrinthine, but so far it hasn't quite hit that point, so it's still pretty interesting. There's some intrigue, there's some mystery, and I never would have imagined that would happen by keeping the MC out of a frat instead of in it. While none of the girls are super memorable, they're at least passable, and a few are more than that.

Lastly, while this is not my thing, it's absolutely worth noting: if you enjoy anal or feet - especially the latter - this has you covered.

15 months later, I can say that the story's potential is absolutely obliterated by writing that is confusing and/or cringeworthy at best, and unintentionally hilarious at worst. More than anything, it needs a complete re-write from a native speaker.

I like this game quite a lot. It's the basic typical VN but the dialogue and relationships between characters are more indepth than most others. The models are good but for me there wasn't the one or two girls who really stand out like there usually are, but none of them look bad.

The story is very limited so the focus is mostly on cycling through the LI's as per usual. This game dedicates a good amount of time just talking and getting to know characters which is a big plus for me, especially if they want some romance angle. The real drawback is due to the style of cycling through LI's you don't spend enough time with the ones you like (It's the same for me in the majority of these type of VN's) This pushes you into wanting to pursue multiple LI's for content and diminishes the romance aspect.

Animations are pretty decent and alot of the sex scenes are well done so no problems there. The music was a solid 7/10 too. Nothing amazing but it did the job.

Conclusion:

The games a slow burner in terms of relationships (still plenty of sex) but due to it still being in development, I have decided to give it a good rating as there's a lot of promising things to build on here. Hopefully the relationships will be fleshed out in future and you will have more time with your chosen LI/LI's (I don't think it's even a month or two in game time so lets see, this is highly dependent on the amount of future content). Worth a try though people, it was fun.

This is one of my favorite VNs, as well as one of the best out there. In all 200+ games of my VN addiction, it's University of Problems that has the absolute sexiest scenes. Surely the developer is some sort of kamasutra sensei. I also have no major cons to list. That is not to say that this is some sort of perfect game; UoP does a lot of things well, but most of these are in the C+ to B+ range; as in it's passable or good, but I've seen better. This VN gets a 5/5 stars, but it's not a strong 5 . So in the absence of "cons", I have added a few "nitpicks" as my constructive criticism. I want the developer to keep doing what they've been doing, but to also challenge and push themselves.

Pros:

• The sexiest scenes from any VN!
• Interesting characters with unique stories
• Phone/Journal are incredibly useful and fun
• Can still be friends with rejected love-interests
• Good storyline and setting
• Stats are earned because of your decisions, so you don't have to grind to get them in order to affect your decisions

Cons:

• (Nitpicky) Renders look good, but could look better..
• (Nitpicky) Relations with Carol happen fast and easy, feeling unearned
• (Nitpicky) It seems you have to be manipulative in order to help and romance Ashley (I could be mistaken)

The game itself is great, but there are some problems .
game is very characteristic, in a harem story, the mc and every girl is in love with heart . Sex animations are rich and very delicate .
There are two issues that I think are critical, and that clearly affect my game experience .
1 : All the girls in the game are slim, although there are some big tits, but these thin bodies can not appear concave and convex curves, the overall picture is not attractive , the images of these girls are too young .
2 : The numerical statistics in the game are too complicated and meaningless. The main character has a large number of different attribute statistics, which are tedious and complicated but not useful in the game. At least for this pure campus harem story, these attributes are too much .
The game as a whole is very good, and the character is very distinct, the slim girls and the school atmosphere is very different from other games .

Very good story line and great interactions with building relationships. Also excellent rendering of the pictures. Combination dating sim and college living. Good progression in gameplay and not too much grinding to progress stories.

One of my favorite games. I'm looking forward for the next release. I'll write a more detailed review once the game is complete, but in general I recommencement this game to everyone.

Obviously it's not perfect, but nothing really ever is. It is easily on the top 10% of the games (I'd say even 2%) so it is a 5/5 for me.

An excellent game that is greatly written, because it make you like the girls for who they are instead of your initial opinion on their look only, and even your initial opinion on their archetypes, meaning they are characters with depth.
The open world parts are limited to some scenes, so there is no repetitions or grinding, the script have some drama and mystery but not too much forced or exagerated and there is some nice secondary characters sex encounter.
We still don't know how the game will manage the multiple romances playthrough and harem, but I'm not a huge fan of harem, and I hope it will be realistic according to the girls personalities. It would be weird if Sara or Rachel accept it, while with Ashley or Natalie it is totally possible.

Every single girl in this game has a beautiful coin-slot pussy and the animations are pretty good. Would definitely recommend playing and enjoying.

This game definitelly should use some more exposure. I found it by total accident, when I saw signature i some random comment and decided to check. I'm glad I did, because playing was honestly great. Story is pleasant, pretty lighthearted and does not seem rushed. Renders look amazing, and animations also have high quality. And there is gallery without need to play with mods. I am also very fond of those pretty, puffy pussy lips all characters have. It's just my type of thing and it definitelly makes playing more enjoyable. Guess I'll be lurking here for more updates now

Top 3 best games I've ever played for sure!

University of Problems is definitely a very good game. The story isn't mind breaking but it is decently interesting, as are most of the girls and they are also quite different ones from the others. I didn't find all girls interesting, though, but the game easily allows you to progress with those you like and minimize the others. Plot does have some minor holes though, but it works adequately to keep the story going and things alive. The main problem with all this is that at some point it just became stale and uninteresting, and to be honest I'm not sure why. Maybe once I got the girls that I wanted the game lost its appeal, maybe.

Render quality is very good, as are the character models. Animations are also good and music is plenty and varied. And no bugs on my playthrough.

So, all in all, I'd definitely recommend it but do know I eventually left it after 1.2 Extended Fix 1 version.

Good game. A bit confusing when it comes to having multiple relationships etc. as there is no harem element i dont think whatever cant wait for it all to come tumbling down around me and i have to do some timetraveling. The character models look good even though they all look strangely bland. Not bland so as to annoy you but too bland to say the look all that attractive.

Also, there is a special place in hell for people that dont tell Ashley everything. She might end up crying but it is a price you must be willing to play. Harrowing scene was seen at that frat party... That has been permanently scarred to my memory sadly. I had to burn every save files up to that point to make sure that I avoided repeating that fate.

But then again, she wanted it. Without your intervention she was fated to become a whore. In essence ashley is a whore. Just closeted. But it is your duty to make sure these women dont end up in that position. Its kind of like a trolley problem.

If you have a woman that you're in a relationship with, naked on the bed and there is someone about to go have their way with the woman do you stop them?

It isnt your duty to stop that from happening she should be able to come to the conclusion out of her own volition. But you do have the ability to stop them so in my view you should do so.

In conclusion, ashley is a closeted slut but you should still stop her from becoming a slut nevertheless even if she isnt worth it really. CERTAINLY NOT BEST GIRL MATERIAL. She is worst girl actually. Worse than Sasha even my god, SASHA. Even that nutjob is better than ashley. Ashley fans are mentally deranged individuals no doubt about it.

Truthfully I just find this game boring more than anything. I don't have too many major issues with it, but I don't feel any compulsion to keep playing it.

I'm a few hours into it, and there's no real story to speak of. As the overview says you really are just an ordinary guy. I appreciate that the MC isn't just a dumb horny teen, but there's really nothing interesting going on with him either. He almost feels like he exists only to propel the love interests' stories. There's some hints at the classic corruption going on behind the scenes, but it has not been a major focus so far.

The dev's first language isn't English, and unfortunately it shows. Lots of lines read like they got weirdly translated, and dialogue/banter suffers for it. Dirty talk just feels a bit strange and awkward as well.

While the renders are good, most of the love interests look too similar to each other. I think a couple of them have ugly haircuts as well and it's a bit hard to get past, but I'll chalk that part up to personal preference I suppose. Animations do get better as the game goes which is a plus.

One thing I really don't like is that the love interests hardly interact with each other. Everyone gets split up into their separate little stories very quickly, and again I just find that boring.

At the end of the day I'm only really playing this as filler while waiting for other games to update. Maybe it will pick up more as it goes, but it's failed to hook me in the first couple hours.

One of the best erotic games there are, with unique beauties, great sex scenes and decent plot. There are tons of content here, with multiple paths, plethora of options (and women) to choose from, meaningful decisions and various fetishes that should satisfy anyone.

- Some bugs here and there but nothing egregious (and they are rare plus the dev fixes them after each update)

A really good looking game ,do not judge it based on the beginning animations which were honestly sub par but as u go on the animation quality improves exponentially almost feels like a different game so Kudos to that Dev (ur hardwork is well appreciated)

Now let's get to the cons:-
I don't know if it's becuz i played a lot of college based games before but neither the story nor the characters were that memorable(not to mention the boring dialogues). Infact in a week or so I'm pretty sure i wont remember any of the characters cuz i find none to be that interesting at all

In my humble opinion that is this games biggest drawback so If the Dev is able to add a more compelling story & make the characters much more interesting than this,then this AVN will be on a whole other level

Excellent game.

Good traits:
-Graphism are quite unique and pleasing to watch.
-Animation in early game is extremely poor but then corrected later on. It is really good really quickly.
-MC isn't lame and likeable, female characters are hot.
-Story wise it is solid and not too much dialogue, or at least there isn't too much unnecessary stuff.

Bad traits (Spoiler alert):
-Some characters are pretty useless at this point of the game ( v1.0.0 Extended ), like the dude who wants to join the Frat. He is in your phone contact like he is an important character but you talk to him maybe 2 or 3 times in the game for some trivial stuff. And the relationship with Sara is lacking in my opinion. With the kinky stuff you go through with Carol or Roxy, and the teasing you go through with Rachel and Ashley, the relationship with Sara feels boring.
-There should be some in-game hints about possible relationship development with some characters. A simple refusal for help over a phone call could end a possible relationship with Nikki. And if you don't investigate the porn industry you won't have any possibilities with Lexi. Kind of a shame.
-There is some inconsistency in the scenario also with the relationships. You can have up to 7 relationships, you can have sexual intercourse with a bit more women and yet nobody bats an eye. It is a campus, any news of the sort is generally known very quickly. The canon relationship of the game is pretty much with Carol wholives in the dorm right in front of the MC's one, girls oftenly visit him in his dorm and spend the night with him but he doesn't get busted (Don't get me wrong, I hate choosing between female characters in porn game). BUT if he sleeps with Ivy MC might lose 2 relationships. Wut ? And which brings to Ivy, she should be a main female character because she is one of the hottest.

It's your run of the mill kid goes to university to f--- his way through it story. I do like it, but there's not a lot to make it stand out from the other of the sort. There's one mystery subplot that I do like but it doesn't really take up enough of the story to push the rating up to a 4 and make it stand out. I do like the characters, they are well written and well made, with good design, and the story is interesting enough to keep playing.
