VN - Ren'Py - University of Problems [v1.7.0 Extended] [DreamNow]

Superb game. At first I was suspicious about how similar looking were the characters but in game I realized that they aren't and it is easy to see by how much. Each of them have their own personality and goals in life. They have depth to them that makes them insteresting. The game is well made and in good quality. Renders are great and kinky events rewarding to say the least. Art style isn't typical to those kind of games which are made with premade models from Daz or the like. Even if said characters seem similar to each other, they aren't. Its more apparent the more we play. Our choices do matter and we quite quickly see how much by reaction of characters. This game have it all. Working phone. Social media system. Sms/text message. I haven't seen characters talking trough it but it is still nice. In recent update dev added to it possiblity of choosing pictures for background of our phone which is nice touch to it.

To say it in few words. Play it. Love it. Spread the word!

I get how dev wants to build tension with the main story but regarding the interactions with the girls, 7 out of 8 options seem to be totally vanilla so far. It's like he tries to rev up the story but then it gets drowned in boring and tedious dialogues. I hope some of the main story dramaturgy sooner or later affects multiple relationships and forces MC to make decisions like love or corruption route. So far decisions add little tension to the game and again, it seems all very vanilla (except for Roxy which is great!) That being said, renders and models are great and there were some creative ideas for domination scenes, so I hope dev focuses on what he can do best and less on forced and boring character interactions.

Game has some great potential.

Include more extreme kinks.
Allow us to REALLY dominate Roxxy if we want hardcore bdsm, or to be dominated by her if we are submissive.
Make a harem route and a ntr route etc.

Right now it feels like the choices don't matter too much and all scenes are quite vanilla.

Well....this a basic porn game set in a college, nothing excpetionnal.

- Renders are really well done but most of the girls have the same face, except hair color/cut, eyes and skin tones.

- Animations are not very smooth, just 2 or 3 images repeating. It gets better later on.

- UI is very well done (phone and note pad)

- Writing does what it is expect for this kind of game but it comes out as a cheap soap opera. The drama attempts fall flat because of the lack of experience or skill in the matter. I'm not an english nativ speaker but I can sense that the writer is not either. Some lines are kinda weird or maybe is a translation issue

Normally I don't like student games that much. So the genre. But the game is really well done. The story is exciting. The models are very cute and pretty. And I'm looking forward when it continues and gets hotter.

Quite enjoyable so far (first time playing this and only an hour and a bit into it), with excellent models. The "animation" (not really worth the name) sucks big-time though, consisting of just 3 or so frames. Basically it's stop motion, not true animation at all.

The story is what it is; the old high school/university trope.

The writing could really do with some polish. It's not bad, but it's a somewhat weird mix of correctly used colloquialisms and sentences with an unmistakably slavic structure. A bit jarring, but it could have been sooo much worse. Then again, a little more proofreading could have made it quite a bit better.

All in all a 3.5, but since that won't fly it'll have to be a 3. So far at least.

Edit: OK, so a bit later there are proper animations. Fine, let me make it a 4 then.

Really love the game, the animation style is really good and story is also good so far, just little bit surprised ( and little disappointed with Carol ).

Dream now, you did write some powerful dialogues and believable story with Carol and I was really hoping some more action with this character, for the whole update she cried out that she is not a whore everyone think but just jump on MC dick while he was sleeping,.

You could have easily stretch one or more updated with some good dialogues and scenes with her ( Like DPC is doing with Jill, which might be triggering some fans but they are more stick with the game because of this )

I know that this is a VN and most people come for Lewd scenes, I don't know why I'm writing this much for a adult game character but I was really convinced with her character development.

University of problems is a Game that surprised me, not because I thought it was going to be bad, but by just how good it was. This is the first Uni/ College AVN that I have played where the theme is one of tackling the darker side of Higher education. Things like Bribery and Nepotism, instead of the theme of getting drunk and acting stupid like most others of this genre.

The writing is well done. The characters are something that this dev should be applauded for. For being such an early release, he has put in just enough of each character to let us know what each of them are about, or foreshadow the mysteries that they may hide from the player yet to be discovered. I initially thought that some of the girls' models left something to be desired, but I quickly came around on that and I honestly like every model in one way or another. Mostly Petite style bodies, but not so petite as to leave most players wanting too much.

The early Sex scenes are quite lacking, but for a start they're more than acceptable. However, I am happy to report that this most recent update has seen a drastic change in the quality of scenes and their animations, they're honestly quite good now so that is exciting going forward.

The music is great, not your basic songs you have heard a hundred times, but songs that suit the scenes. From fun and upbeat, to Slow and somber. A couple of these really amplified the game to greater heights in terms of emotion and investment.

Overall, I see nothing but great things in this games future, and I will be eagerly watching it's development. The sky's the limit for this Developer.

Some good fresh air, so far v0.2.5 this game seems very balanced in plot, scenes, renders.
It rushed too quickly in sex scenes, but it is understandable from the DEV trying to capture the audience.

Really hope this game can progress on the same current path, maybe creating some more sophisticated situation and longer and more detailed sex scenes.

By the way I like the anal scene during the party.

EXCITING SITUATIONS AND EXCELLENT CHARACTERS

If you like games like Beying a DIK you are in the right place.
The characters feel real and the story is surreal but more realistic than many other games

really really good but dialogue is really off. sounds like it's maybe translated from russian? syntax and grammar is weird but the designs/story/character and general core of the writing is solid. some of the word choice doesn't fit the characters tho.

big commend on the attention/render on vaginas/anuses. that's 1 point where this game really sticks out from most. not tooo grindy. the dialogue to sex content ratio is okay. has some really good character designs. really like roxy.

Good writing and dynamics. Interesting and beautiful female characters, even if some models are somehow similar. Rachel and Natalie are among the most beautiful faces in all of the current VNs. Overall, excellent game.

Great renders with awesome models and stable storytelling.
As one of a growing number of school setting Games on F95 this game brings some top notch renders and simply gorgeous models to the table. The models have very unique features, they are clearly distinguishable and most of all they don't have the standard DAZ frozen plastic vibe that you often get from other games.
The game is heavily oriented on the probably most successful game on this site. There is a linear storyline, with free roam events and a sorority. So not a big plus on creativity here but the implementation nevertheless is technically superb and like they say if you borrow then do so from the best.
For me what is missing for the 5 star rating is the sense of involvement that you only get from the truly great games. When you actually feel like you are starting to know the people you meet and starting to recognize yourself in the person you play. This is true for the characters we meet in this game but most of all it is true for the MC himself. In order to be immersed in the game we need to understand and connect with the MC, because the most important character in any game is not any love interest or friend, but it is the person we are supposed to play.
However I certainly see the potential for a 5 star here in the future, let's wait and see.

Good Points
+ We have a lot of different girls/women with a lot of different stories. Every one of them has their own interesting and well-written story and we can even say some of them feel pretty unique as well.
+ The art style looks pretty good. Character designs are cute, hot, and attractive a lot. And even feet models look good for people who don't like feet.
+ Sex scenes have well-made animations along with well-made positions/angles. They look pretty good, foreplay scenes are attractive and good enough to support main sex scenes (penetrations)
+ Choices matter, they can lead end of relationships, open some sex scenes, or cause you to lose them and you are not forced to consume any content, you can just say no if you don't like something, simple as it should.

Bad Points
- The main story is not that interesting, things mostly revolve around girls having their own stories and MC being involved with them, and while it's interesting, especially after the last couple of updates it's become repetitive and boring.

For The End
Well, what can I say? This is a pretty good game, but with the last couple of updates it's become boring to play, still a good game, but we need some game-changer moves.

Pleasantly surprised by this one! Judging from the pictures i was expecting a decent game with meh renders, but the renders are actually a lot better ingame than i thought they'd be. I love the story and the university vibe, since that isn't one of the most common ones here. It's obviously nothing super new, but it's a nice change.

The storyline is great, i for once didn't skip a couple lines, like i normally do. The girls are great, a good mixture of types imo. I think this game can become one of the big ones, when it gets more content. I feel like the last sex scene could actually happen a lot later in the story, i wouldn't mind her teasing a bit longer. But for now it's good to atleast have it in the game.

If I was reviewing this for myself I would probably give it 4 stars, but that's just because I was hoping for a sandbox element, but given that it's not that kind of game I would say for what it is, and the quality of the content it deserves 5 stars. There were only 2 things I wasn't too fond of, the clunkyness of the phone, and the lack of insight into choices. The insight issue is easily fixed with the walkthrough mod, which I would consider pretty much essential. The phone just need to be refined a little bit more because I felt like some of those events could be done though an active text style mechanic, rather than hanging up the phone and getting another text right away which you would have to go back into to access. Aside from those 2 things I would saw the quality of the art and animation is top notch, and very compelling if you know what I mean. Looking forward to future updates.

Before officially starting the analysis, know that I made all the possible choices in the game, re-played it 3 times and read all dialogues.

I didn't find any bugs when playing and/or reading this novel, I liked the presentation of each character and the personality of each one of them. Some characters did not have as much use because it was a project start by the developer, for example: characters like Sara and Natalia, other than that, the rest of the things are good and/or acceptable, nothing that makes you hate or leave aside the novel.

So far pretty polished. It has a "feel good" vibe.

The girl models are gorgeous so far, and the dialogue feels fresh for a school/university theme. They feel "cute" both visually and in personality but still somewhat natural. They feel feminine, I think it's the right word.

Also doesn't feel cliché as many other adult games (besides some minor stuff but hey, it's an adult game). Looking forward to see if the next releases continue to be with this quality, so far pretty pleased with it.

just play early version of this game.. has a lot of content for version 0.2, and a really promising future.. there render are good, girls are attractive, the music suits the mood very well and story is engaging so far.. could be one of the best game if it continue with this quality and frequent updates.. well done!

After version v0.6.5 I felt like I needed to update my review of this game and take off a point. The game still has a lot of potential because of its visuals and setting, but good lord the writing needs some serious work. While I appreciate that every girl has her own story thing going on to keep things somewhat interesting, some of the scenarios this game presents are as "cheap porn" level of predictable as it gets. The dialogues are just plain bad because of the LIs acting all way too cutesy for their age, and because of our MC constantly sounding like either the biggest pervert, or the biggest, most lovestruck white knight on earth. There's no middle ground here. And, for the most part, there is still no buildup and no sexual tension to be found either.

I honestly don't see this game having any chance to improve or realize its potential, at all. Devs need to hurry up and realize that the quality of the text is just as important if not more important than the quality of the assets on screen.
