VN - Ren'Py - University of Problems [v1.8.0 Extended] [DreamNow]

Great renders with awesome models and stable storytelling.
As one of a growing number of school setting Games on F95 this game brings some top notch renders and simply gorgeous models to the table. The models have very unique features, they are clearly distinguishable and most of all they don't have the standard DAZ frozen plastic vibe that you often get from other games.
The game is heavily oriented on the probably most successful game on this site. There is a linear storyline, with free roam events and a sorority. So not a big plus on creativity here but the implementation nevertheless is technically superb and like they say if you borrow then do so from the best.
For me what is missing for the 5 star rating is the sense of involvement that you only get from the truly great games. When you actually feel like you are starting to know the people you meet and starting to recognize yourself in the person you play. This is true for the characters we meet in this game but most of all it is true for the MC himself. In order to be immersed in the game we need to understand and connect with the MC, because the most important character in any game is not any love interest or friend, but it is the person we are supposed to play.
However I certainly see the potential for a 5 star here in the future, let's wait and see.

Good Points
+ We have a lot of different girls/women with a lot of different stories. Every one of them has their own interesting and well-written story and we can even say some of them feel pretty unique as well.
+ The art style looks pretty good. Character designs are cute, hot, and attractive a lot. And even feet models look good for people who don't like feet.
+ Sex scenes have well-made animations along with well-made positions/angles. They look pretty good, foreplay scenes are attractive and good enough to support main sex scenes (penetrations)
+ Choices matter, they can lead end of relationships, open some sex scenes, or cause you to lose them and you are not forced to consume any content, you can just say no if you don't like something, simple as it should.

Bad Points
- The main story is not that interesting, things mostly revolve around girls having their own stories and MC being involved with them, and while it's interesting, especially after the last couple of updates it's become repetitive and boring.

For The End
Well, what can I say? This is a pretty good game, but with the last couple of updates it's become boring to play, still a good game, but we need some game-changer moves.

Pleasantly surprised by this one! Judging from the pictures i was expecting a decent game with meh renders, but the renders are actually a lot better ingame than i thought they'd be. I love the story and the university vibe, since that isn't one of the most common ones here. It's obviously nothing super new, but it's a nice change.

The storyline is great, i for once didn't skip a couple lines, like i normally do. The girls are great, a good mixture of types imo. I think this game can become one of the big ones, when it gets more content. I feel like the last sex scene could actually happen a lot later in the story, i wouldn't mind her teasing a bit longer. But for now it's good to atleast have it in the game.

If I was reviewing this for myself I would probably give it 4 stars, but that's just because I was hoping for a sandbox element, but given that it's not that kind of game I would say for what it is, and the quality of the content it deserves 5 stars. There were only 2 things I wasn't too fond of, the clunkyness of the phone, and the lack of insight into choices. The insight issue is easily fixed with the walkthrough mod, which I would consider pretty much essential. The phone just need to be refined a little bit more because I felt like some of those events could be done though an active text style mechanic, rather than hanging up the phone and getting another text right away which you would have to go back into to access. Aside from those 2 things I would saw the quality of the art and animation is top notch, and very compelling if you know what I mean. Looking forward to future updates.

Before officially starting the analysis, know that I made all the possible choices in the game, re-played it 3 times and read all dialogues.

I didn't find any bugs when playing and/or reading this novel, I liked the presentation of each character and the personality of each one of them. Some characters did not have as much use because it was a project start by the developer, for example: characters like Sara and Natalia, other than that, the rest of the things are good and/or acceptable, nothing that makes you hate or leave aside the novel.

So far pretty polished. It has a "feel good" vibe.

The girl models are gorgeous so far, and the dialogue feels fresh for a school/university theme. They feel "cute" both visually and in personality but still somewhat natural. They feel feminine, I think it's the right word.

Also doesn't feel cliché as many other adult games (besides some minor stuff but hey, it's an adult game). Looking forward to see if the next releases continue to be with this quality, so far pretty pleased with it.

just play early version of this game.. has a lot of content for version 0.2, and a really promising future.. there render are good, girls are attractive, the music suits the mood very well and story is engaging so far.. could be one of the best game if it continue with this quality and frequent updates.. well done!

After version v0.6.5 I felt like I needed to update my review of this game and take off a point. The game still has a lot of potential because of its visuals and setting, but good lord the writing needs some serious work. While I appreciate that every girl has her own story thing going on to keep things somewhat interesting, some of the scenarios this game presents are as "cheap porn" level of predictable as it gets. The dialogues are just plain bad because of the LIs acting all way too cutesy for their age, and because of our MC constantly sounding like either the biggest pervert, or the biggest, most lovestruck white knight on earth. There's no middle ground here. And, for the most part, there is still no buildup and no sexual tension to be found either.

I honestly don't see this game having any chance to improve or realize its potential, at all. Devs need to hurry up and realize that the quality of the text is just as important if not more important than the quality of the assets on screen.

This is a fun game that has more than just a lust and corruption counter. It rewards different styles of playthrough. Good boys gets action too.

The girls are all pretty and the pace is good. No need to ramble on in a long intro when it can get feed to us in a trinkle as we need the info.
There seems to be a few typo's and a few replies that sound a little odd but that will happen in a project as big as this and everything in the UI is cool and works perfectly.

Really impressed with this, I'm a sucker for school setting games and this is one of the better ones I've played. Dev clearly has talent, the writing is impressive and so are the renders. Generally just a really entertaining game.

Updates seem to be frequent and pretty sizeable too, overall one of my favorites!

if consider all elements of this game separately - except beautiful 3d work - nothing special. But in general - playing it - i've got a lot of pleasure. Probably, it's the most important)) And for 0.2 version - was done huge amount of work.

A fairly promising VN to say the least. The renders are superb with nobody looking overly busty or disturbingly anorexic; they're all rather realistic and the textures are very clean

All characters are very likeable and have relatable personalities; nobody's traits are exaggerated to a degree to force us to like or hate someone just yet. You can tell the MC ofc has the libido to have sex but it's nice to see that he isn't just thinking to fuck everyone he sees and seems to have a pretty wholesome personality.

Only thing I will say is that the dialogue is sometimes a bit choppy and showcases a decent amount of grammatical errors, both instances usually going hand in hand. However, I'm not going to hold that against the dev with what looks to be a promising game. I look forward to what he has next

This VN is a Diamond in the rough, its still in the early stage but i have to say that I AM A FAN.

Pros :

• The characters rendering looks great and likable
• The story is flawless so far, even the story about college, fraternity, sorority is cliche but i really do enjoy it so far.
• The background quality is top notch

The social media UI got improved! it is much better now.

Not the smoothest animation but not that bad to make me reduce a star

Could be one of the best game on the F95, that is if the dev could keep delivering awesome content like these last 2 versions

Renders are amazing the story is pretty cool game has lots of potential only problem for me was the phone and not being able to swipe down to see the messages which got kinda annoying but other than that great job looking forward for the next update

Very interesting setting and game i must add. Characters and renders are excellent, story is very interesting as well. Each character that i encountered seams different which is more then cool. Dev advertised that this is choice based game where you build relationship like in real life, which means that there will be not only sex betwin MC and some girl but you'll support her and be there for her, which in all honesty is fine. I'm tired of games where you have boner girl sees that she gets crazy and jumps you or where you can fuck instantly anyone you cross . This game seams different which is good and even on early stage its good, definitely play it. If you're capable support dev, i know that i would but corona bs (lost job).

I can see a great deal of potential with this game.

• Some good H content for such a new game

Great start for a game, the girls look hot and the MC isn't a total tool or an ass like some other university games.

some of the renders do look a little too plastic but that can be improved.

Didn't peak my interest enough.

- The renders are good. Nothing extraordinary but they look good enough with a variety of different girls.
- Very very generic setting. It's the same trope we've all seen before, nothing really stands out, typical mc with all conquering dick and zero substance.
- I don't have a problem with school setting but dev really needs to flesh out a more deeper world in future updates to make it interesting.
- Animations are a bit iffy but nothing too serious. It's ok. Like everything else, it's average.
- Just generic. Everything feels bland and nothing really pops out and it makes player lose interest. There's too many games and too little new ideas.

I'll probably drop by again in a year if this game continues past halfway point.

Really really good looking renders, definitely looking forward to the next patch.
The Story is kind of predictable but the renders for the girls really work the magic for that.
A choice system for the sex scenes would also be really good but who knows whats about to come in the next patches.
Overall for the first release a solid 9/10
