Oh, did they finish the artworks for the first game? I mean, there were quite a lot of empty scenes when I played through the "completed" version a few months ago...

Or are they like "fuck it, VN with only half the artwork is fine, let's make the sequel game to shill more money out of people?"

I hope this one goes as well, the gameplay was trash but I liked the writing regardless of the path you took.
Off to finally play all of that now.

Edit: They didn't finish the first one, they just shipped it.
That bodes well, I hate the combat on this one as much as the first one and evidently you can't just ignore it.

First one felt like an unfinished game despite being 'completed' and sold on Steam. I'd suggest this time around the dev either focus on making a good VN or a good sRPG.

Enemies always get 2-3 attacks card.

Hoping this one is more fleshed out with the art... The first one always felt unfinished, like artwork was missing where it should be. Even in its "finished" state. Storytelling and worldbuilding was always good though. I'll keep an eye on this one

As I recall, the first is done mainly in the sense it's story arc is completely finished - you end up getting revenge on the mage and everything. That's a pretty solid 'end' to a game. Though it isn't the end of potential adventures, I suppose.
I remember enjoying the writing for the first one, and the other characters were interesting. Wonder where this one will end up going.

Adrift gets fucking hilarious at times. Like at the "Cultural exchange" or when they do the magic contest.


The battle system is definitely different from the first game- I will have to wait until it is more polished before deciding for better or for worse
Can't wait to see where the plot goes
