More or less, this time it is said that the game will avoid repetition like the previous one where some scenes have to be repeated for progression. Still, it seems that the scenes can be replayed through the mirror.

I'm playing through JoiPlay. Does anyone know how to move to do the puzzle???

You have to move the controller in the directions the X's are coming from.(Do it only inside the circles).
Just let the hearts pass (they have to reach the center circle)

Will it be possible to repeat scenes from in game world or just that gallery-otherworld option? I haven't played the original version and I don't know what the mechanics there.

Story changes but essentially follows the same scenes from the original just in a different art style and unlike the original the art is consistent between the stills and animations.

Well, the art style depends on the user; some would prefer the previous one, but animations are better quality. The progression with each character improved, and it is not necessary to boost the corruption levels or talk multiple times before unlocking each scene. Also, minigames improved as there was only one for convincing that sometimes failed because of not having enough corruption level.
Still, it is hard to judge more than what I mentioned as the storyline is almost the same and the game is incomplete. Even the previous one seemed incomplete in many aspects.
