On game start I'm seeing facial expressions on the lady that change when I hit enter--as if progressing through dialogue--but no text, and not even a text box. Is this a result of me not using a locale emulator, or is some other funky stuff happening?

Apparently it's because the game is still set with Japanese Unicode, is what a 2 minutes search tells me. So if we are not using Japan Locale, it doesn't show.
