Thanks to everyone who sent in questions! We got A LOT, so we'll pick a handful for now, and save the rest for some regular Q&A posts.
To start, in response to questions about future release dates:
Any answers we might give would just be guesses at best (and terrible ones, undoubtedly). So no more release dates until the game is done, polished, and uploaded to Steam and just going through final bug testing.
Now, for the rest of the questions…
For the moment, we'll leave the Vaygren Lore questions aside for the moment and answer some relating to the game.
Vaygren Development Q&A #1
Can you please keep the community updated going forward, so we all know that development is continuing and the game isn't dead?
Absolutely. We'll be doing at least a monthly status update, plus other posts like this Q&A, etc.
How big is your team?
Though there are a few things that we outsource for the game (music, background art, etc), basically there are just two of us here doing the bulk of the work.
- Cyberunique - Artist, Animator, and Art Director
- Aebard - Director, Programmer, Editor, Sound Engineer, Live2D Rigger, Scene Layout, Sprite Poser & Animator, Scenario Writer, Art Cleanup, etc.
Are you considering adding any team members to speed up the process?
Oh, hell yes. At the very least, we'll be attempting to find some people that can tackle some of the things that Aebard currently handles (Live2D, Sound Engineer, Art Cleanup) so he can spend that time getting the next episode pulled together.
Why is the episode being delayed so much?
Essentially, we drastically underestimated the amount of time certain aspects of the game's production takes (specifically, the scene layout + polish with the Live2D animations & Camera angles). And then we drastically underestimated it again. And then again.
We're planning on doing some steam updates with some behind the scenes video of Episode 3, showing the process of creating the dialog scenes in Vaygren, and just how time consuming it is.
What is the hardest part of making the game?
Making regular posts on Steam, Social Media, etc. >_< That stuff takes time, and sometimes we get tunnel vision working on the game that the update posts fall by the wayside.
Can you give us any insight into how the voice actor auditioning and recording is done?
For Vaygren LT, we first did some character write ups with some rough art and sample dialog lines. We got back a bunch of auditions reading the sample lines, and made our selections based off of those.
As far as getting the lines recorded, we provided the VA's with the script, they'd record it, send it back to us, and we'd listen and see if anything needed adjustment.
Are any of the voice actors ones that we would recognize from other things?
All of our VA's have been in other projects. You should go check out the other things they've done!

Will you ever make a (strategy / RTS / RPG / Third Person / Etc) type of game for Vaygren?
It's definitely something we want to do at some point. We love visual novels, we can't deny that the Vaygren world is an excellent first for any number of type of games. We even have a few rough outlines of potential other types of games. But before all that, we have to finish Lustful Temptations.
Will there be a Gallery? And will it include the non-H CGs and/or let us replay scenes?
Yes there will! You'll be able to view all CGs (that is, any traditionally drawn animations or CGs constructed from more than the regular sprites), AND you will also be able to jump to and replay sex scenes.
Will you also include recap for previous episodes for whose who havent replayed the game in a while since the last chapter?
Not in the initial release of the episode, but possibly later on as a QOL update. Implementing this at the moment would be a bit too time consuming at the moment.
Will the game be translated into other languages? (if so, which ones?)
We absolutely want to get the game translated and released into other languages, although that really depends on how much it's going to cost. As to which languages, at least Chinese (we do see all those requests), and we personally think it'd be really cool to get it released in Japanese (since the game is anime-inspired).
How do you feel about the person who made the Russian translation for the game (in the steam guides on the community page?)
It's super cool they did that!
Neither of us speak Russian so we don't know how accurate the translation is, but we hope it's letting some people enjoy the game that otherwise might have had trouble with the language barrier!
What is that super cool opening song? Is it in japanese?
Yes it is in Japanese! The song is called "Inferiority" and was produced by Souichi Sakagami (

) specifically for Vaygren!
Will there be any other gameplay elements, or is it just a visual novel?
As far as gameplay goes, Lustful Temptations is a traditional visual novel. Occasionally you are given choices that will change which route of the story you are going down, but there won't be anything like a battle system or mini games.
Will there be a [insert specific fetish] in future chapters?
Okay, lets speed run this set. There's a slight possibility we might add a scene or two that touches on some of these, but as plans currently stand:
- Futa X Futa: At least 1
- Impregnation: Not in LT
- Footjobs: Not specifically
- Sex Fighting For Domination: Not in LT. Ish.
- Surprise Buttsex: Well, it won't exactly be a surprise…
What if I can't get the game because it's not available in my region?
We're working on a solution for this, and are planning on launching the game on

sometime after Episode 2 releases.
And finally, the most frequently asked question:
Why no balls?
Ah yes, the question of the century. Who knows. Possibly this is one of the unanswerable mysteries of the universe.
Or maybe it's because Cyberunique just really doesn't like drawing balls.
