It's considered difficult. It's definitely challenging even on Normal. Modest jump on Hard. Nightmare is intended for New Game+ with bonuses, and knowledge of the game.

Oh, good lord. This one will give you many brutal deaths until you know not only the core mechanics, but the enemies and pitfalls. And then it also has monstrous RNG that can just screw you regardless.

A TLS clone with a complex combat system and difficult optional bosses (the latest one even made me give up, unlike anything in TLS)

To me that Incubus prison was mostly a puzzle. with that in mind:

it is purely a strategic puzzle game, and not so easy. Even on normal mode it is perfectly normal to have to restart a few times. hard mode is harder, but overall less fun.
side bonus: good writing, good English, funny.
