Review for v0.27.0
Viking's Daughter isn't something everyone is going to enjoy, but I have a real soft spot for even semi well-done Unity/Unreal lewd games. Part of it is that they are rare and provide a fresh experience from the many visual novels on this site, but playing them just gives me such a unique feeling I don't get in many other games. I truly enjoy playing this.
The overview gives a pretty good representation. You show up to a seemingly abandoned village, soon to discover the lone survivor who fills you in on what has happened. Turns out it's the village chief's daughter, and she asks you for help. The adventure starts from there.
A lot of the gameplay consists of day to day quests given by the chief's daughter. These aren't tedious repeatable tasks though, every day usually has something new going on. It doesn't have AAA tier combat and mechanics, but I find it fun for what it is. Eventually more people show up to the village as things progress giving you more things to do and girls to "romance."
There's a fair amount of lewd scenes and they do get the job done. Animated well enough, and the dialogue isn't sloppy either. I wouldn't call the graphics stellar but again I don't think they are bad either.
I did run into some bugs later into the game, one that sadly made it impossible to progress, but I was nearing end of content anyway so I wasn't too upset. Something to be aware of though.
I like the premise and have come back to this a few times as its been updated. Give it a go if you're into Unity games!
