RPGM - Completed - Virgin's Protection Magic [v1.1.4] [Searothonc]

Overview: Pretty solid RPGM with good hentai that is part of the gameplay and overall story. You play as a witch-in-training and go around doing stuff and uncovering a conspiracy. Story is pretty simple but it enables the premise and the dialogue is unexpectedly decent (and a bit funny). Gameplay starts out a bit difficult but once you get some more spells it gets easier. The hentai aspect is ever present and overall quite good, although not the absolute highest quality. Decent amount of scenes and battlefuck but the "corruption" is a bit slow. Playtime of around 8 hours but some of it was speedhacked for grinding at 1 particular spot. Overall would reccomend, 4/5

Game (3.5/5): Standard RPGM where you cast spells and beat up monsters. There is a decent amount of exploring for each dungeon/city and some material collecting that is required. HP and MP start out pretty low at the start but progression is noticable. You learn spells after crafting a recipe and then apply them in a provacative manner. If you apply it again, the cost of the spell goes down by 10x until you go to sleep, very powerful tool and nice way to keep older spells useful. Low MP costs are good, but later spells with higher crafting costs are also powerful in their own right. Another part of progression is that your attack power scales with how much the pleasure meter is close to full. These aspects, along with story, kept the game a more interesting than average RPGM but at the end of the day its still RPG gameplay. There was 1 part that was particularly annoying near the end click here if you plan on playing a virgin run

Hentai (4.5/5): I will preface by saying I am a bit biased towards witch characters. This game has hentai throughout the game which is one thing that, in my opinion, seperates good H-Games from bad ones. No point in playing a G-rated game that has random porn when you lose. Anyways, the concept of witches ingame are inherently lewd, powering up with higher pleasure meter and the story provides context for why. Enemies and dungeons try to get her to become more lewd and maintaining virginity throughout the whole game (good end) does require some effort. The enemies at the start will actually only do anal until later when the game tells you. There are alot of scenes, defeat, battlefuck and just general things going on. Even playing through virgin run I unlocked 35 scenes of the 127 scenes. Some of these are duplicate but most are good. There is nice clothing system but you need alot of lewd stat to wear 1/2 the stuff, best off using item or cheat engine to raise. One nice thing is theres many options for skipping events or scenes. Post-Game world also lets you go through story events so you can get whatever you missed.

still excellent after so many years. Digging out these kinds of older RPGM games because they usually put more effort in some areas

The best game I've ever played on this site. It has the right balance of cute, sexy, and funny, and there's a fair amount of ENF content, which I love.

The combat is fairly basic, but that's not what anyone is here for, and there are a few bugs and translation errors, but it's still fantastic.

I'm really hesitant about giving this game either a 2* of 3* only because of one part: The mommy boss fight.

I really hate lose to win games. And i spent like 30mins trying to beat that fuker. And i was afraid that it was another lose to win game, well guess what...

The game sometimes crash as well which is another flaw and the worst part is that this is a grinding game (so you have to save every 2 sec in fear of losing your progress).

I'm usually not into turn based porn games because most of the time they only contain CGs but i like to give it a shot sometimes.

I'm not gonna lie, this game has some funny dialogues and wacky events and reminds me of the old school Final Fantasy games which i am a fan. The music is well chosen too.

But the lose to win system really makes me hesitant about continuing this. Because i can just see myself trying to figure "how the hell do i beat this or that" and waste a lot of time just to realize that you have to lose and be disappointed.

You take the role of a cute virgin witch who travels the world fighting criminals, cultists, and monsters - many of whom want to do naughty things to her.

While it does take a bit before you can get past all the 'teasing' and get to the 'good stuff,' it does not disappoint. You can't lose your virginity until act 4. While it isn't overly difficult to get to that point, I could see some people finding that frustrating if they are just looking for a quick fix.

Gameplay-wise, it isn't a very difficult game, and the story is actually kinda interesting. But I think most people are playing this for the sex portions, and those parts are quite good if you like doujinshi. There are portions where, if you maintain her virginity but allow her to get into situations where you must resist penetration, it can be quite exciting. This happens often enough by either increasing her lewdness to remove clothing or not using sewing kits on her clothes after they get damaged or destroyed. These 'resist penetration QTEs' also pop up when she gets defeated, as she will try to break free before they penetrate her. I also appreciate that she generally submits to the sex, or it is implied that she enjoys it, before the end of the scene. There are also plenty of scenes outside of combat where she willingly gives herself to someone. Story-wise, it is usually explained away by her not being able to resist her desires any longer, as many men will tease her prior to penetration, or her willingly putting herself into this situation and finally admitting that she is doing it on purpose.

After half a decade, this is still one of my favorites to revisit, and I wish more games like this existed - especially the 'resist penetration' portion which means defeat does not always equal virginity being lost. For anyone not interested in a QTE to avoid penetration, you can turn it off in the settings, either removing resistance (non-resist), always resisting (invincible), or you can try to penetrate her via a reverse QTE (reverse).

Non-resist makes spells like virgin protection/true virgin protection more useful, as it is the only way to keep her virginity safe. This makes her having orgasms during combat (which causes her to lose her virgin protection) far more dangerous/exciting, as she is stunned for a turn, so you can't recast virgin protection until the enemies get another turn. It is also important to avoid penetration, as every man or creature will creampie her. These creampies cause her witch magic, which is incredibly powerful, to stop working.

If you are into games that offer a virgin run option, enjoy RPG games with combat sex, or just want a game with a good variety of ways to watch a cute girl get fucked, this is definitely worth a try.

A tip for anyone trying to do a virgin run, you'll want to get the Ring of Transference from the "Sex Shrine" (North of Wiccaholt) for the very end of the game. You'll need the "Old Key" to access the room (right of the entrance) and 10 bottles of "Maiden's Honey" to summon the treasure chest.

My all-time favorite HRPG, game isn't fully translated yet but it's already a great game. I've replayed it numerous times and am waiting for the day I can play the rest. It really needs a full translation

Above average alchemy system
Great CGI
Translation is quite good up til the end of the 4th chapter

Negatives:
A bit linear, though there are side quests

The game isn't fully translated, but don't let that dissuade you at all. The vast majority of the game as you play in a linear fashion is translated. The first four major areas are translated, and then most of the last area isn't. That doesn't really matter that much, as you'll have played through the vast majority of content, and the last area you can extrapolate without translation as you'll have figured out the way everything plays.

One of the top translated games of this type. Great art, a cute character, and a proper scene gallery. Unlike most games from Japan, your character is not forced to be raped by everything they come across because the game implements a unique protection system.

The story starts off very interesting but becomes meh halfway through, and often requires looking at the walkthrough. There are a good number of events, but the majority of the sex ones are battle loss rapes, while the rest are often difficult to find.

Great art, well translated, fun dialogues, characters and story, likeable MC, lots of content (lewd and otherwise) - wish there was (many) more quality HRPGM games out there! Can't wait for full translation :3
