A'llo all,

Before I fill out the required template below, I figured I would introduce myself. I am the English community manager (albeit unpaid) for the Visionaire Studio: Adventure Game Engine. I am a moderator on the official forum & run the official Twitter & Discord accounts for the game engine. Anyway, I'm no prude when it comes to NSFW content & porn, etc. so I figured I would say "hello!" & offer my freelance services & let you all know a little bit more about Visionaire Studio while I'm at it - I will post more information about its features in the additional comments section.

Skills:

General development, game design, planning/project management, debugging, problem-solving & thinking outside of the box. I have over 10 years of experience working with Lua script & the Visionaire Studio game engine - I have dabbled with various other game engines over the years too (rpgm/gms).

Programming: Lua, HTML, CSS, some JQuery & PHP - currently looking into Python due to learning Ren'Py.

Native English (British) speaker. I also know some Spanish & I'm currently learning Japanese.

Quick note: I don't class myself as a writer, but I have a decent grasp of English, which should be enough to help out with proofreading/editing - if needed.

Preferred method of contact: *

Discord > main: afrlme | nsfw alt: mow.mow.mow. *

Quick note: I'm ok with voice chat/screenshare, but only in English.

Employment Type & Rates:

Indie: €26 per hour [6.5 euro per 15 minutes] (almost everyone falls under this category)
Commercial: €52 per hour [13 euro per 15 minutes] (sfw commercial studios/large teams)
Flexible: This option provides a discount that depends on the share percentage offered & the project. (sfw projects)
Share based: I'm only willing to do this for adult game development projects.

I sometimes offer small discounts on my rate for repeat customers; just to show my appreciation to them for choosing to use my services again.

Availability:

I am trying to put together my own personal project & I have various other things going on too, both online & in real life, so it's hard to say an exact number, but anything up to a few hours a day, most days of the week is probably a good estimate.

Work Samples:

Portfolio: (I only link SFW projects on my portfolio, but I have worked on various NSFW projects)

Additional comments:

Quick note: I am willing to go down the share based payment route for adult game development projects.

& moving on, I would now like to let you know about Visionaire Studio, in case you've never heard about it - I'm guessing most of you haven't, despite the fact that the initial version of the engine went public back in the year 2000.

Ok, so I'm just going to quickly summarize some of the features of the game engine & provide you with the links to the website, the evaluation download page, & the discord for anyone that feels like joining (swearing & nsfw content are not allowed on the discord mind, so please take into consideration if you decide to join & ask questions or just feel like chatting with some of the regulars).
  • Visual-based editor (IDE) which has a GUI & allows you to preview & create things inside of it. It's available for windows, mac, & linux. (64-bit OS only).
  • Export platform support for windows, mac, linux, html5, ios, android, playstation, xbox, switch (though consoles & handhelds are probably out of the question for nsfw content?)
  • The game engine was originally created with the development of point & click adventure games in mind, but it's come a long way since then & plenty of other game genres can be created with it, such as myst-like, visual novel, visual novel hybrid, rpg-lite, sim-management, clickers, full motion video (FMV), etc. etc.
  • Up to 4K resolution support; custom resolutions are also possible via the built-in explorer tool.
  • Built in particle system.
  • PNG & WebP image support (webp is recommended for optimization purposes)
  • MKV/MP4 with vp8/vp9/x264 video codec support & ogg/vorbis audio codec support (mkv is recommended as it allows embedding multiple audio & subtitle tracks)
  • Full screen & in-scene object video support - hence why it's possible to create FMV games.
  • Lipsync support via tsv files generated with - can be manually created if desired & supports mouth shape letters or animation frame numbers to control which talk animation frame should be shown; Rhubarb generates timestamps with mouth shapes.
  • Visionaire is actually a 2.5D game engine & has support for 3D character models - but don't ask me how that part of the editor/engine works as I have no idea as I prefer to stick to 2D.
  • Supports sprite part animation models (dragonbones, which is a free spine clone by a chinese company can also technically be used to export spine models, but it's not legal to use them commercially).
  • Alternatively you can import image frame sequences into the editor & control the timings, order & lots of other fun things via the editor &/or via scripting.
  • Extensibility via Lua script or via the recently created visual script node based system (kind of like udk blueprint system) or via ilios, a scripting language based on C# that was exclusively created for the game engine.
  • Sound section with various mix containers, automation & effects.
  • openGL shader support.
  • Multiple input device support (keyboard, mouse, controllers - think it has some gesture support too).
  • & lots & lots of other features.
Quick note: the engine was created with artists & non-programmers in mind, so it's very easy to create fast prototypes with it due to the premade action parts, queries, & visual approach to how you build your games within the editor, but if you are willing to learn some basic scripting then it's possible to go outside of the limitations of what the engine has to offer.

Anyway, here are the links I mentioned earlier...
  • (10 scene/room limit & export options are unavailable in the evaluation version)
  • (swearing & nsfw content aren't allowed, so take that into consideration if you join)
Edit: it seems I forgot to mention & link some of the NSFW games that have been created - or are currently in development - with the Visionaire Studio game engine, so without further ado, here they are...
* indicates which ones I've done freelance work for.

I also think Visionaire Studio is a great engine to use. I've been messing around with it for the last year or so and if you're going to hire anyone he's a good choice... He personally helped me with issues in the official VS discord (I was surprised to see you here of all places).

If you're an artist without much programming skills then I suggest you give the engine a shot. Likewise, if you're looking for a programmer then you can't go wrong with him on your team. The engine is simple enough for non-programmers(like me) to use but if you put real talent behind it like him you would be able to do A LOT more!

Why? I'm just as much of a deviant as the next person.

Also, your avatar & name sounds familiar to me.

Bump.

If anyone is starting up a project & doesn't have a developer yet & doesn't mind which game engine the game is developed with then please consider hitting me up! Share based projects are fine. I'm fine with most types of fetish content too - though I would personally prefer to work on lesbian/lezdom content, but beggars can't be choosers...

Quick note: The recent Visionaire Studio game engine update introduced text formatting, effects & transitions, which means that it's now a lot more flexible for the creation of visual novels & visual novel hybrids.

Howdy. If you'd care to take a look at this thread and see if it might interest you?
Certainly sounds like you've lived an interesting life; if the short stories you shared are actually based on your past life experiences. :D

I do think it could make for an amusing story or bunch of short stories, but I'm not sure about all the miltary jargon or abbreviated/shortened terms.

I think you should try to find an artist first before you start looking for a developer - unless you plan on using them as a sounding board as well. I personally know nothing about military/army life; except for what I've seen on tv & I've no idea if any of those shows/movies are remotely accurate to how it is in real life.

Anyway, I'll try to remember to keep an eye on your project. Good luck with it. :)

Appreciate the feedback...and yeah...it was a bit interesting. The 2 tidbits I shared were mine. A good bit of them would be however I have plenty to pull from people I know or met. Another example would be the scavenger hunts we used to do on the weekends up in Anchorage. Nothing like needing a car jack, toilet seat, garden shears, garden hose, etc when you're a bunch of kids that live in a dorm. Instead of a toilet seat, someone rolled up with a urinal they pulled from a gas station.

I'm not looking at making a military story full of jargon. Most of what I have to relate happened off duty on our own time. If I have to explain any of the jargon it would be organic to the story. Some things would, of course, be baked into it (NCO for example stands for Non-Commisioned Officer....which are the enlisted people in any military) simply cause you can't get away from it but for the most part it would be the shennanigans we got into off-duty. Living in the dorms is pretty much just an extension of high school. The in-crowd, out-crowd, loners, etc. Instead of going home at the end of the day, you're all crammed together and stuff happens ;) If I had to describe it as anything it's just the MCs journey from training to moving to his first job post and the crap that happens when they're not working for the most part.

Again, I appreciate the feedback and if I can get any interest in it from others I may reach back out to you.

Ah, I think one of my old music producer friends used to be stationed there. If I remember correctly he was an engineer/mechanic working on planes or helicopters or something like that. Not spoken in a few years, but I do know he left the service & moved somewhere warmer with his family. He was a bit of a character too. I recall him always complaining about the short haircuts & how much of a stickler for rules they are. I don't think he liked his time there very much.

As for military jargon I understand some of it as I've watched a bunch of tv series & movies that revolve around war, the army, & the marines, etc. When it comes to weapon names & parts, I don't have a bloody clue as where I'm from, about the most you might be able to own are shotguns, hunting rifles, airguns, & bb guns.

Anyway, moving on... I'm mostly looking to work with artist/writers that already have some renders/art ready to go (I personally prefer to work on games that have hand drawn 2D art; but that's just my personal preference when it comes to my own projects) & some story/dialogs/gameplay mechanics, etc. already jotted down.

I'm not looking to become part of a team for a brand new startup as I already have my own long term project that I'm currently working on, which is why I'm interested in joining individuals/teams that are more or less ready to begin development & don't mind taking a chance on a game engine other than ren'py, rpgmaker, or unity - all of which I know seem to be the go to engines when it comes to the AGD crowd.

Well if it was planes he would have been on the AF base, Elmendorf. If it was copters it would have been Ft. Rich. It's become a joint base since I was there.

As far as warmer weather....you'd be surprised the number of people who got there and then stayed. Far more than wanted to leave. Alaska is a beautiful place and Anchorage has relatively mild winters compared to most places there due to the air coming off the bay and the way the city butts up against the mountains.

Completely understandable. Can't blame me for trying tho. I liked what I looked up on the program you talk about in your main post and coming across someone with your experience with it makes it rather attractive. Good luck with your hunt and, if you do come across something you start working on, shoot me a note so I can pin it and track it. I'd be interested in seeing what it is.

Take care!

Aye, you too. :)

By the way, that post wasn't directed at you. I was just bumping the thread & providing extra info on the kind of work I'm looking for.

Bump.

Looking for artist 2D/3D who already has some graphics ready to go, a basic plot/outline of their project typed up, & is in need of a developer & doesn't mind which game engine they use.

I'm fine with most fetish content; though I would still recommend asking me via PM or on Discord to see if I'm ok with whatever content you are planning for your game. Please use my mow.mow.mow. Discord handle if you want to contact me for AGD work instead of my main handle.

Quick note #1: Visionaire Studio is a 2.5D engine & it's possible to create traditional point & click adventure games with it, myst-likes, visual novels (+ hybrids), fmv, sim management, rpg-lites, clickers, & various other types of games. It was originally created for the creation of point & click adventure games, but each update unlocks new possibilities on what can be created with it.

Quick note #2: The editor is available for Windows, Mac, & Linux. It has official export support for Windows, Mac, Linux, HTML5, iOS, Android, Playstation, Xbox, & Nintendo Switch - though the consoles & switch are probably kind of irrelevant for adult games as I don't think they would allow said kind of games on their platforms!?

Quick note #3: I posted a list of some of the adult games that have been made with Visionaire Studio at the bottom of my original post.

Bump! Still looking for a project to help out with.

Please keep in mind that I'm not really interested in fresh startup projects that haven't even put pen to paper yet, or super vanilla content. I'm looking for projects to sink my teeth into that are more or less ready to start development, but haven't yet found a developer or decided on which game engine to use.

Bump! Check OP for details & portfolio link (portfolio only shows sfw projects).

I'm currently looking into learning Ren'Py as well. I'd still prefer to use Visionaire Studio as it's more flexible, but I'll just have to see how it goes.

Ren'Py seems to be fairly easy to learn. Kind of surprised at what's possible with it; though I do think it's really limited in what's possible with it compared to most other game engines.

Anyway, last year I also created a Discord server community called which is for adult game devs, artists, comic creators, erotica writers & people who provide freelance services related to game development to promote themselves, network & find people to collab with. Please feel free to check it out if you want - there's currently around about 100~ members so far; to be honest I only really just started to work on promoting it after I recently got invited to bluesky.
