It completely depends on the kind of game you want to make and the skills you currently have. It's a common pitfall for developers to try and implement game mechanics that feel out of place.

For me, this is only enjoyable if it has the following:
  • Minimal grinding
  • A clear objective
  • A reward (a sex scene/story progression)
  • It works without major bugs
If executed well, it will add a layer of fun and anticipation. The player will gladly carry out the tasks, because there is a clear objective, he will be rewarded for it and it will not take too much time.

There are many games where the player needs to grind for a long time before he unlocks his reward. Doing repetitive and boring tasks over and over again for hours is not worth it. Many people do that already for their employer, so they are likely not willing to waste their precious free time on games with this out of place game mechanic.

Some games have excellent sandbox elements, but most of the sandbox games implement this poorly and ultimately waste the player's time. The game would he more enjoyable without.
