VN - Ren'Py - Viv: The Game [v0.4.3] [ViV]

Tbh, great game from story and art wise but it is really unfinished at the moment. To me a big problem was that I really did not like the main love intrest and the game keeps forcing me to interact with him.

DAAAAM this game has so much potential, i played the unfinished version and now the new update but HOLLY, Now this game has a lot of PJ and desings.
The VA and some animation are great, it has a lot of lewd art but still it very uncomplete so i will re edit this rewiew when its done. But still its very recomnedable. His history its very nice its has LOT but LOT OF OPTIONS that i didn't choose it has a lot of CG art too for each option and dialogues.
Still very recomendable and i will follow close this project.

The art is an absolute joy, and I imagine a lot of passion went behind it. The characters are diverse and loveable, especially Viv. There aren't a lot of ero furry vn games with female protagonists, so this sates that niche which is awesome. The premise about a furry barista going about life is neat. The scenes are hot and diverse. How decisions influence Viv's personality and scenes is also nice. There was a bit of tedium in the wrestling match. But nonetheless, a very good game!

The game is great. The art is pretty and colorful, the various sex scenes are hot, and there is plenty of branching in the dialogue that leads to unique situations or variations on scenes. Different dialogue decisions change Viv's stats, which can unlock niche responses or alter how characters react in the replayable scenes. Your responses alter the story in meaningful ways, such as wholesale scene changes or alternate paths, which feels great. And the way these branches naturally re-converge (such as the two different ways you can meet Hima), are natural (obviously, the branches can't continue on forever lest the developer create so many wholly unique stories).

I am thoroughly looking forward to more by this developer.

There are a couple of faults, however.
- While the story has many branches, the trunk is still quite linear. There are a number of responses that don't actually alter your stats are the scene at all. For example, your time on the subway with whats-his-name. There is one dialogue choice that can alter it, but nothing else you do there means anything. These are especially glaring when so much of the game does respond to your choices. I certainly hope the developer expands some existing trees a bit, for example by expanding the nothing in day one.
- Oh, and the wrestling minigame? Finicky at the best of times. I get it is some sort of rock-paper-scissors, but the "beam-struggle" bits just don' work.

The character artwork is pretty cute and it has some really great designs, but the style doesn't feel consistant during the experience.

Being that said I feel the game could push itself into a more Sandbox experience than a linear story, since it has the mechanics to accomplish this. (money, corruption,sanity, so on.)

It shows a ton of potential and with the wrestling minigame makes it clear that it can take advantage of this by adding minigames to other aspects of this world like:
-Brewing coffee minigame
-Some exposure kinky minigame on the subway
-Waitress minigame
and so on.

Also a route to ignore the romantic interests would be cool too.

As for the sex scenes they have great art so no complains here.

For now that's my opinion at the moment keep on the good work and I hope to revisit this game in the future.

This might be my favorite game I've played on this site in years. The way Viv is written is just so incredible to me, not just porn game well like actually very well. Won't be for everyone, not everyone is a queer furry into femdom, but I am so yay me! Will be supporting more.

To sum up my thoughts on this game in one sentence. This game highly expresses how easy it is for a niche community to simp for something just because lack of competition.

Its a furry game. However a furry game that isn't rooted in typical tags such as the "gay" tag. And even then it follows a female protagonist. These two things alone make this game stand alone from pretty much anything else within its atmosphere.

You play as Viv, an anthro furry going through her daily life. Nothing too important for the plot as it is mundane and poor. You work, meet new people, get taken advantage of by them sexually. Its all the typical playbook of a female protag corruption. But its all so hollow. There's hardly any substance or goal to whats going on other than just a slice of life furry porn game.

And thats fine really. The art makes up for a lot of the shortcomings as it is very nicely detailed. The concepts of some sex scenes (there aren't many... we'll get to that later) is okay but using the term "corruption" in the game is a bit loose. Don't expect the typical corruption story, it more so just kinda happens and Viv the main character is more or less whatever about it. Unlocking the sex scenes do require some pre-existing choices, which is relatively annoying because it can be hard to understand how to unlock them. But its no different from any other choice reliant game.

This game is almost 3 years old. THREE YEARS. The amount of content that has been released in that time is abysmal. And even then some content that makes it into OFFICIAL RELEASES are not even completed artwork that sometimes just have LINE WORK. I mean seriously it boggles my mind that people have rated this game so highly when there are MONTHS of time, sometimes bordering a half of a year between updates only to get some illustrations and scenes that AREN'T EVEN COMPLETED.

Now I understand. Its a hobby. I get it. But looking at the Patreon content, it seems more like you get more content by being a patreon sub and the game is secondary. Which is awesome. They also have a different game they work on at the same time. Perfect. I like that patreons get way more value. But it does hamper the quality of the game when you do this. And the ViV updates stretching years are sometimes not even the content some other games would have in just a 6 month period from release.

Which brings me to my main contention. Looking at other reviews it appears people are praising this game just because it is such a niche game. Fem furry protag corruption? Talk about the odd one out. But in that its like people are blinded to the very slow and relatively empty shell of the game we have thus far and will give it kudos and high praise just because of that.

In summary its an okay game. The artwork (when completed) is beautiful. I like the characters for the most part despite it being meh general story telling. However it lacks major amounts of content and most things feel hollow. It feels like if this game wasn't in the niche it is in, it wouldn't be as highly praised as it were. But you should still try the game. I would just say its going to take years before it ever reaches a state where I would consider it worth paying/playing.

I am changing my rating to a 1. Its clear the dev is horrible at time management and the release schedules for this game for more shotty line drawings is still going on. But as you can see since I originally posted this review, people will still gladly sound fanfare about this game as being the best VN ever or some bs.

Like I said 6 months ago and I'll say now. The dev is just capitalizing off a niche market where loyal fans are dying for a crumb of content. So they will put up with and part with their money for this.

Absurd and not worth your time. If you sub to the patreon, you'll get stuff that aren't related to the game. So you aren't really subbing for the game. You've been warned.

One of the greatest VNs i ever played in my life.
I'm not a big lover of playing as a female in VNs, but this game is definitely an exception.
Hope developers will stay safe in the current conditions of the world and not abandon this absolute creation.

At start it was just okay. But with every new update i can see how much job is done. Step by step Viv became a good game. At this moment i really like the story and also some of characters. Some scenes are very interesting and unexpected( in a good way i mean).
I think will be perfect if game will do some progress with art. This is not bad, but it is a little bit worse than all other things in a game.
Really hope you will not abandon the project. I'm really enjoy this one

I absolutely love this 18* game and really can't wait until its finished I hope they continue to support and work on it because it is a banger! You can get multiple scenes depending on choices so it seems they really do matter, but there is only a single day worth of content sadly, so you don't get to see what happens next yet.

One of the best games I've played on here. Its got charm with a good mix of choices and fetishes. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys furry and even if you don't it actually has a good story and believable characters.

One of the better Furry games on this site. Right now, it is still in its infant state. I think that the story t will develop more. But currently love the story so far and expect great things from now on.

Okay so this game is overall great, I enjoyed the little bit of time that this game has to offer and I am expecting it to grow and become more popular than it is.



PROS:
Really nice art, the art is very well drawn, its cute most colored overall the art is great.
Interesting and kind of unique set of characters.
It seems really relatable, her job the stress not being able to sleep stuff like this and the bus scene it really is something you could relate to or get secondhand emotions from.
cool mechanics that aren't seem to be used often like sanity.
almost complete freedom to choose what you want so if you dislike this guy go to the next ect.

CONS:
It's a relatively small game, with what seems a small dev team however the game has much hope in my and many others eyes if possible go donate a dollar or two to their pateron! they deserve it it is genuinely a great game and deserves more love.

Adding onto the dev team being small, it probably means the updates are slow, Ive been watching for a while personally but they have stuff going on right now it seems and this could probably be affecting their progress, if you are interested in this game give it a try, its worth it come back in a few months see what else it has to offer.

pretty good corruption game, im willing to give it a try, early build but i can see potential in both story and action and intimate harassment moments, hopefully art will improve and im hoping for next successful furry game not cancelled project

My first and only VN game I actually loved! Truly amazing gameplay and storyline that gave me goosebumbs! even thou its VN, it offers a lot of choice and variation. Absolutely amazing

Surprised me. Its actually quite a good start to a game. The promo images made me worried it would be a lesbian only story (as a side note, a lot of furry game seem to be same sex centric, male or female), but its definitely not.

Sadly, there isn't much content right now. I have a feeling its going to be a while before there is anything resembling a full experience, and that's assuming the game ever gets finished. Which, lets be honest, odds are against it.

Still, surprisingly good art (very expressive), and nicely written. Worth a look, but be warned there's only about 30 minutes worth of material here right now.

I love the graphics of the game and its expressions. I also find interesting the mechanics of the 4 variables of the game (Manners, Domination, Corruption and Stress); let's see how these develop . Thank you and keep it up.

Excellent art, there is quite some time thath i dont see a furry game as good as this one. There's to little content by now, but i'm waiting for more.
Very good art, lines,protagonist. .

Unexpectedly good characters, including the MC Viv. And not only the characters, events too. For some they may look casual without quick escalation into rape or something, but after living in games with constant gangbangs, ntr plots and slavery, i can really appreciate exciting events with subtle meaning. Vn is short for now, you can see for yourself what i mean, even if you completely don't trust some random review.

Non-gay furry, female protagonist, nicely drawn art and sprites, sea of choices, INTERESTING plot about Viv's sanity and stuff around her. Also worth noting - no water in text, was easy enough to read that at least i was too distracted to notice it, if there's any at all. And author/s only get 100$ per month for that?

Can't donate, but here's a 5 star rating! Should help being noticed. For such a version as 0.2 all of this is very impressive, and will definitely watch the game progress until the end.
