Recently I've encountered an issue with some scraped Twitter videos having a lengthy ~2.8 second video delay (audio starts fine) on start when using VLC player.
Windows Media Player plays the videos fine.
All non-Twitter videos play fine, no issues at all.
For troubleshooting I've tried:
-downloading the Twitter video on my phone, send to computer, and play = delay
-downloading the same Twitter video as above but on PC, and play = delay
-downloading different videos from multiple Twitter accounts = delay on some
-played older downloaded twitter videos that played fine before = mixed, some play, some delay
-Handbrake compress 3 different delayed videos to AV1 1080p30, all other settings default = all 3 work on VLC
-->resolution and frame rate do not seem to be a factor for video delay
-used other video players = WMP plays them all fine
-reset VLC preferences to default
-uninstalled and reinstalled VLC, removed saved preferences and cache.
Attached are two Twitter clips. The first plays with no issue, called "Normal". The second is "Delayed," which has the video delay but normal audio. I also attached pictures of some settings on VLC. If I need to show FFMPEG or other settings I can.
I have more examples but all are NSFW ones but I do not know if they're ok to post in this thread. Edit: just noticed my signature after posting lol oh well
