We are working on a fan patch for the CD version, maybe...

Is there interest? It is a classic for me, I remember it is the first H game I played. I think it's also unique for games like this, I haven't ever heard anyone talk about it though...

I wanted to do a real game engine since the other games I've worked on were Electron apps. But it's harder than expected. I mostly have it working, but the files and text are all byte-length-specific, and I have to patch the game executable in more ways than I thought:
*Font
*Character spacing
*Bytes per line
*Text positioning in a bunch of places or the game crashes
*Translating system messages

Every time I need to change the executable it's like another 20 hours of work, maybe I'm not so good at this after all...:unsure:

My friend is willing to work on the translation but I guess it is over ten times as long as the other games we did and he says it's harder to translate. He did routes A +B + C but needs a break since that took two months. By line count that is 25% of the game. But probably the less interesting parts. It seems most of the content is after route F.

Should we keep working on it? It is kind of painful:eek:. But it's so old and at least I like it, I'm worried no one will translate it otherwise.

I would offer help but I don't know a thing about doing this anyway you wen directly to 3 and not 2

Well, I didn't play 1 and 2, but 3 is not really related I think. 1 and 2 are modern I think, but #3 is science fiction. It's a new story.

Well, I kept working so I think it wouldn't be so much more work if I just got it running with an MTL. I don't want to do that though, AGTH and other programs existed since forever ago. Also I MTL the script to give my friend a starting point for translation, and he already told me it's really bad and wrong...

I think he's working on it again, so I'll post if there's a progress update. But if it's 10 or 20 times as long as the last game we made a patch for, it's probably most of the year to finish it...

Wish you luck then, this sounds like a nightmare. If you finish and still looking for a project hope you also do Ryoujoku Guerilla Gari 2

I got from him with an update :geek:

He is through route F, which is 38% of the game. I need him to do the translation, so, I don't know how long it will take anymore. Well, it's good he's still working on it! It sounds still hard with how long the script is.

He sent a dump of translation text again!!!! :love: Finishing this year is possible???

Update:
*now 50% of the translation is done!!! :love: The latest is routes I and K and 1 scenario of route J!
*The code is "done" but Im bored waiting so I made a script to reprocess audio. The game has censor beeps, which are very loud, louder than the voice lines. It finds the voice lines with beeps and almost mutes them. The censor beeps completely replace sound, so now it is quiet in those parts, but better than going deaf?:D

I have the latest dump.... I'm not sure this year is going to happen :cry: We translated a manga and he has been busy, we worked hard for a Rikune-chan Christmas last year but I don't know if a Giselle-chan Christmas is possible still when the game is so long......

Well, the good news is route J is done, which is the longest route left!!
