Ren'Py - Completed - Void's Calling [Ep. 2 v1.1044 + DLC] [Novel]

The graphic is great. I'm not a huge fan of perfet graphic in games (if I want perfect porn images, I go for a porn movie), but this one deserves a mention nonetheless: while all the women have the standard beauty rating of penthouse models, there are some nice details -like a bit of wrinkling here and there with the milfs, as Fiona- that make me love it.

The story has quests and side quests, and it's kinda interesting.

You can actually choice something, and the choices seem to matter.

The characters have all their own personal quirks and deepth. Mind you, we are still in the "standard personalities" field, like the whore with a heart of gold and such, but they have something interesting to say.

The combat system is a la JRPG, more or less. Nothing shiny or really interesting, but it does what it needs to do, in its simplicity.

There is some grinding, but it's not heavy and it's interesting in itself, since here and there you face new enemies and a couple of them are uniques.

So all in all, even if none of my kinks were titillated by the sex scenes -they are just plain vanilla- I find it very good anyway. Which tells something.

Oh, and the number versioning it's coreect: 0.9.x means really that the game is almost complete.

This is an authentic knight story in a fantasy world with a kind of realistic approach. Renders are nice especially the character of the girls. Writing is fit for the knight novel setting. Lewd scene animations are short loops but they are rather better ones than bad ones.

Way too much grinding in the game without enough events to watch/play. Pretty poor "adult" game when so far you can only have sex with the "women" at Vernan Rose, Ilga's mom and Fiona. The side quests are pretty much useless to have in the game if you can't even progress far enough with them. Maybe in another year or two I might try the game again when there is an actual good amount events that happen.

Wow, a Fantasy game that has a fantasy story. I know this seems like a weird gripe but many "fantasy" VN's, seem to only use the fantasy theme as a way to fuck orcs, fairies and elves with no care for story. Not this game, the story gives you an interesting hook, that the void is making everyone more horny in the world and you will have to stop it. Not only is the story a great start but the characters and girls are God Tier. Ilga and Fiona must be protected at all costs. I am excited for the continuation of this game and hope to be supporting this dev soon with patreon.

This game isn't perfect, but its shaping up to be one of the better ones with actual gameplay. I actually prefer straight VNs, but there are a few sandbox games that do it right like this game.

This game manages to avoid the cardinal sin of free roamers - feeling like a scene hunting time waster with no goals, no narrative flow, etc. What sets it apart from the usual? It's hard to tell. Everything just comes together pretty well. There is a very interesting story akin to The Witcher. The game balance is quite good. Played on the middle difficulty. Battles are pretty fun. Lvling up feels nice. But the MOST important thing is that the sense of exploration is already evident in this incomplete state of the game.

I suggest you don't look for a walkthrough or try to meta game too much when you play the game. Just play it naturally and you will have some fun. I didn't see about half of the side quests but I still had lots of fun by the time I felt like I've exhausted the current state of the game world. Since save compatibility is an issue due to the dev filling out the world in a non linear fashion, this is a game you probably play once and then wait for completion or many updates to try again. At this current stage of development (0.3) there is enough to get a feel for what the game could offer once its done.

Writing is pretty good. Not the best out there but certainly good enough. Renders and animations are high quality. Characters are seem pretty interesting although you won't get to know anyone too intimately just yet.

This game has an amazing story, and graphics so far. The version I tried was v0.3, and thus a lot of the scenes, sub quests are not developed yet, but what already had been done are excellent. Unfortunately, the sandbox, and RPG style give a bad game play experience. At the outset the game seems okay, but when you keep playing you have no idea how to trigger a specific scene without a proper walkthrough, for instance finding the tavern owner's wife was a bit difficult for me. I had to randomly walk in the street multiple times until I stumbled upon her. Meeting the MC's main love interest in everyday morning requires to go back to tavern often, and come back. Meanwhile you virtually have nothing to do. So you have to do a lot of clicks for many times totally until the quest is done. Wandering to forest is not an enjoyable experience either. Sometimes you meet enemies, and sometimes you don't, there is nothing new character to talk or something interesting to do other than leveling up the MC, and collecting skins or something to exchange for a payment, but that's it. On top of that you have to collect money to pay for tavern, collect strength, use heal potion, level up and too much of unnecessary things to do. Since it's too much, I ended up using cheats.

I am honestly not interested in going through all the fighting, RPG elements, because this game is a visual novel with static images not a motion game where you control the MC. In a game like Witcher, you can enjoy the scenery, experience the beautiful environment and people. You are distracted with all the small small details, and therefore it's not difficult to enjoy such a game with RPG elements, but when it's just static images, it gets boring as you see the same footage always, and there are limited number of frames in a visual novel. This is why many visual novels contain heavy dialogs, and less actions, and complicated RPG elements. I highly recommend the developer to dump the RPG elements altogether, or make it simple as possible, remove or change the sandbox style gameplay and make the main focus the story, dialogues without making the player walk all over the city until a specific scene is triggered.

These kind of games waste a tremendous amount of your precious time because you mostly spend your time figuring out how to trigger a specific scene than enjoying the game. It gets frustrated, especially when you have no idea whether a certain part has new content or not, so you probably end up going to the same place over and over again hoping you trigger a new scene, sometimes you read the same dialogs, go through same frames over and over again, for instance when you meet your main love interest you see the same dialogs, same frames few times, when you go to explore the city you meet same thugs, same coin, same bj girl, and undead few times, when you go back to tavern to sleep same scenes again and again, when your hygiene is poor, and when go to the bathhouse, again the same dialogs, and scenes. It honestly gets boring, frustrating, and less memorable after a while a later. You feel like the game gets repetitive, which is the source of getting it bored. Don't get me wrong, I love the story, and graphics, so this game has a huge potential, but if they continue at this rate, they will never achieve that potential.

Great fighting scenes and active game play make this Game into one of my favorites out there.

One of the Top Games in my Book.

Honestly, this game is one of my all-time favorites now, and for a 0.1 there is a lot of content in highest graphic quality, a thrilling story, very atmospheric (medieval), fine supporting music. Nothing missing imo. Also helpful devs (worth to support them!)

The devs also make clear that there will be much more to come: Many places to visit, ppl to meet a/o to fight. Good combat system. Nice upgrading of skills. Even magic will be involved. So much looking forward. Thanks.

Edit: I want to emphasize, that this game has the "best looking man ever" (no I am not into men). Women are looking very good of course (like in any other game, at least in those which I like). But men mostly are pale, inexpressive or even yakuza-like (jap. mafia). This Forlan is really someone! A hero

I really like the grafics (and animations). Only very few developers can match with that. Also the music and the writing is giving such an intense and authentic atmosphere. One feels like living in medieval times .

I like this game and was able to draw my interest. The author of the game reveals a good story. my expectation from this game is high. Let's come to the analysis of the game: graphics are acceptable, the variety of characters do not want to declare yet an early idea. story and game style familiar. animations are quite successful but not enough, but mediocre and not animations should be back and forth again. there are things I would like to have in this game, for example: violence and blood, sex and lust, mystery and fluency, action and movement, the perfectly constructed main story and mystical side quests that connect the player to the game.

The game was pleasantly surprised: good graphics, a clear and adequate plot, was a big and pleasant surprise, having a choice of difficulty level that I had never seen before in such games.
Yes, old-style fonts are very upsetting; I hope that the author will add an easily readable font.
In advance, at the expense of the previous, magnificent game created by the author, I put 5.

Great start but so little content in the game it could easy go either way.

The game begins with little explanation of its systems, barely readable text, and bad dialogue, and only gets worse from there. It's a shame because the character models look decent enough, but there's no excuse for a game where playing feels like something you have to suffer through. Please, please start by fixing your fonts - I know a "fancy" font may seem to fit your the theme, but no one is going to be upset if the game is more readable.

Decent Mechanics.. Although many areas are no more than place-holders. Plenty of quests piled up, but not to be completed in this version due to "work in progress"... This is much like opening a fancy mall, but with all roads being "under construction"..
That said, I will be watching this game for the story.
