Oh wow it actually works, I was gonna try that before but didn't care enough to try.

Basically for everyone:

1. Learn all the basic with inspect element.
2. Copy the link from Kemono (gofile something).
3. Go to the original Petreon post where the archive link is usually hosted.
4. Find a button (or create your own) in the post using inspect element.
5. Paste the link as the `href` or target of your element.
6. Profit.

Yes, this works and is how I usually do it. But I believe it would also be quite easy to fix this, which is why I wasn't publicly announcing this method as alternative methods will work but with them being more technical might not have been as easy to patch. So now we will see what happens.

bro...why are you guys just broadcasting how to do it, the dude watches this and several other forums and changes his passwords every so often. You guys are just showing him how you're doing it and he'll likely change his methods and make it potentially impossible to scrape it. You guys really are as dumb as a box of
rocks.

Yeah, I'm also sure he knew this, so I see no harm in sharing it. Coz as far as I know he's already balancing between making it not confusing for his actual subscribers vs combating piracy. Would be interested on where the cat & mouse stops, because other creators have given up.

You are just naïve if you think he wasn't aware of that, it's superbly simple. The cat & mouse issue with Patreon piracy issue is limited by how much the creator want to compromise ease-of-use of their actual subscriber.

You overestimate peoples ability to figure this out or know these things as clearly showcased by this thread and the requirement to literally spell it out to them giving the artist a very good reason to now change his methods.

if someone has the protected link to the password i can get the January password, if not then we'll have to wait until kemono updates with the new links
