Hi, I've created a demo of a VR comic panel on the Oculus Go. The art style is vintage 2D using layers for parallax and depth.
I have a few questions for anyone who has tried Madefire VR.
What are your views on reading speech bubbles in VR? Would you prefer voice?
The art style is flat 2D (Randy Dave type art) would you prefer the comics to be in panels in front of you or would you want to look around in 360?
What about 180 comics, with nothing behind you but still having to look around about 180 degrees.
Would you want the panels to be in just one window like NetFlix VR.. so you can look around the room, but its not necessary for comics story.
The subject matter is not family friendly so this would never be accepted in any marketplace. How would you feel about side loading on the Oculus?
Any insight would be helpful. I cant really go out and ask the public due to the subject matter.
Attached are a few images that are in the same style and subject.... thanks
