The Good:
- Amazing Girls Waifus
- Amazing Animations
- Amazing Lewd Scenes, some of them are def. worth revisiting.
- Refreshing Art Style
- Great Storyline with potential numerous endings.
- Hilarious dialogues (dev's a memer)
- Cool sound effects (pls add more moans and some "watery" sound to match the lewd scenes)

The Bad:
- Not a fan of how MC looks and so Beta during a fight.
- Since there are so many Girls Waifus, some of the Girls Waifus, did not get much love later in the story. (Should add booty call function at school's WC, else what is the purpose of having a phone!?).
- No clear indication of current Karma points.
- Some typos.
- Slow ass updates.


Conclusion:
idk if I shud put this game top 3 or top 5 in the market.. FK!!

Excellent animation, excellent character design, great sex scenes, tons of content, not really much more I could ask for. I've been playing for several hours per day and still haven't finished it after about nearly a week of playing.

EDIT : I originally gave the game a 5 star, which I still think it deserves. But my experience since the 9.0 update was terrible, the biggest issue being the save incompatibility and having to use somebody elses save with different name and choices.

You can't do this with such a big and long release, I'm not replaying two weeks worth of content just because you made one small update and btw the updates being small and few between is another reason why I'm docking a star.

Until those issues get fixed, I'm not playing the game and I'm rescinding my five star review.

Edit 2 : I've basically given up on this game, the issues have gotten worse and the dev is focusing on non-issues rather than giving us more content, the updates are still slow, the characters didn't need redesigns and he split the update into TWO parts despite already having the assets since he mentions in the changelog what's coming in Part 2.

Reduced my rating to a 3 star, if this game still sucks so much by Summer 2023, I'm changing my rating to a 1 star.

Edit 3 : Matter of fact, I saw what he did to one of the best girls in the game Elizabeth, that's worthy of removing another star. I stick by changing it to a one star review in Summer 2023 if this shit doesn't improve.

I sincerely laughed at several moments (because memes and 4ch), the HS provides great picture quality and smotth animations. Unfortunatly waiting to continue and the author seems to be famous for delays
Also waiting for KARMA system this should provide more replayability

This game has great models, and the humor is top notch. I've laughed more than once while playing this. He also has a lot of great references, just in general the writing is tongue-in-cheek but also quite funny. It's not complete yet but it's certainly worth your time.

Great game! Characters design one of the best. They not just look good and different, their character matches their appearance. We obviously have stereotypical twintails tsundere Asuka, but most of other are pretty unique in my opinion, especially Takamura (also, why she is not on game poster, she has more screentime than most of girls on it?).
A lot of memes and anime references, so man of culture should be glad as well.
First hentai scenes wasn't pretty good 3/5, but over the past two years of developments author became much better, and last scene (Takamura in hot spring) was awesome 5/5.

interesting story and good character make. The story is even more attractive than the sexual content. Also it combines many real world related jokes. However I wonder if the author can make the sotry full. It looks like the story get more and more complicated and some traces may be lost, for the main story line of some chatacters doesn't show up for a long time

Hilarious story elements intertwined with enough H-Scenes that make it worth it. Dynamics between characters, while exaggerated, work well within the story. Also the characters, renders, and animations are top quality.

Art is mediocre among a sea of overused styles

The attempt at forcing comedy with memes is cringe worthy and falls flat

The story feels like it was written by a 12 year old that just discovered boobs for the first time. The premise and dialogue are immature

Sex comes too easy and has no impact

The game gives you a sense of 'choice' but it is really an illusion, you are railroaded through one garbage plot line whether you like it or not. The initial scene with the loud music being blasted by your sis is a good example, no matter what choices you make it ends with you getting trapped by the sis, it's stupid.

A mediocre game even among a sea of mediocre games. Idk how this is so highly rated

Waifu Academy is harem game revolved around revenge. What's great is that there are a wide variety of girls to fit most people's needs. What I love most about this game is that the protagonist isn't always successful. He's not some bad ass that is absolutely perfect at everything. In the story, the protagonist will succeed and will have to achieve his goals even if going through some set backs. It puts a nice bit of tension into the game. For the most part, the choices in this game are either not super impactful or are there as obstacles to avoiding game overs. Most of the time, you're given enough clues/context to make an educated guess on avoiding game overs.

Overall, an extremely interesting story and loads of great sexual content. My biggest gripe is that the "H" function to hide the text box stops working after awhile.

Great models. Excellent and gripping story. I really hope they play on the karma routes more but it's still in development.

Honestly, this game is a blast in terms of humor. Every 4 seconds you can expect a meme of sorts or a witty reference.

Great writing, awesome story, the creator is a genius. Renders are great, characters are cute and believable. Highly recomennded, the art grows on you even if you dont like Honey Select at first. The content is huge, sound effects and music add to the game so much effect. Carefully selected waifus.

1. Waifu Academy has quite an intriguing story. Not to mention the revenge plot infused with silly humor and tons of meme-y references makes it quite fun to play.
2. Characters and Animations are top tier. Every character has a vivid personality and fun to explore. Been playing since the initial release and haven't been disappointed.
3.Story progression is good, with some great sex scenes. If you're not into games with grinds and simply avoid sandbox then you're in for a rollercoaster ride
4. Updates are quite long but since every update is worth the wait. Most of things are well-done and proper focus onto the bugs and errors.
10/10 would recommend

Funny (though meme-heavy), interesting story, cute and varied girls.

The downside is that it's currently (version 0.8.0) rather linear: the choices only influence the scenes you can see immediately, and if they are the "bad end", it's also almost immediate. The sex encounters have just few scenes in them (typically 2 to 4 animations). But the other parts compensate for that easily.

I love this game. But then, I HATE this game, because it ruined the rest of F95 content for me.

Nothing will be able to compare. Nothing gave so much pleasure, be it erotic or aesthetical. From setting to decorations design and character design, to writing and immersion and soundtrack(there are not a lot of tracks, but they fit perfectly to the situations they play at). All top notch. And all of that gives this game a soul, makes it come alive.

I started this game with low expectations but was immersed in it completely. I played all day without stopping and couldn't finish it. When I woke up next day I went straight to continue. I played and played, but the game just wouldn't end. At one point, judging on the flow of the plot, I thought I was far from end of the line and was happy. How wrong I was. When Takamura jumped me and JoJo tbc tune started playing, I thought my heart was going to break. It was like an idyllic dream, one you don't want to wake up from, it was perfect, but then someone yanked me awake. It was a terrible feeling.

But in the end, after some time to collect myself, I can tell, that Waifu Academy leaves a great aftertaste. It is a masterpiece. 10/10. I can't wait for later updates and wish all the best things to creators. You are gods.

P.S. One important thing I forgot to mention. Comparing to other F95 entries that use 3d graphics, Waifu Academy's character models have very natural looking postures. They did not feel like dolls on strings at all, which was the greatest boost to immersion.

animations and character models are great, i really liked them

but the awful memes and the entire premise of the "count of monte cristo but with porn and the revenge is about girls that wrong me" just isn't for me.

i'd prob pick up another game from the devs, but due to the plot, im no longer interested in this one.

I really wanted to love this game. It had a truly evil character who wanted to take revenge. This character seemed to be not above using any means to achieve his goals. In other words the ends justify the means at any time. Instead we've got dreamer who experiences set back after set back. There is no and I mean no growth from the character he doesn't get physically stronger to be able to fight the fights he apparently needs to fight. Mentally I'd have to say he gotten dumber you'd think after falling to so many obvious traps he'd be more cautious instead the MC gets increasingly more reckless often nearly exposing his true identity to his enemies only to be saved by plot armor. Then there are the choices and karma system. Most if not all the time you have to choose the "right" path otherwise it's game over or you suffer major consequences. I mean at that point why bother with the karma system if I have to choose bad and then good choices in order to succeed. Shouldn't the point of a karma system be for me to choose to be evil or good. Also why bother giving me a choice at all if there are times when I will be game over for all but one that's not choice it's forced paths.

The game story is best although i played it 3 to 4 times and realized that mc is a little rude to tomoe which is understandable he want revenge but every dialogue that is related to between mc and tomoe on why she never visited him she seems pretty confused about it too dev should add why she decided that and i think it will be best if they had loving relation not some forced stuff between mc and tomoe maybe her dickless husband manipulated her to leave mc and now cheating on her with other women , maybe she also missed him all the 16 years that will definately give boost to love route between mc and tomoe and story will be more awesome...it think love route between mc and tomoe is best instead of forced route

Waifu Academy 0.8 Review

This review is inevitably going to contain spoilers. I will do my best to keep this review as spoiler-free as possible, but you have been warned. Let's start with the story. When I started playing this game, I really enjoyed the story at first. It was a fairly straightforward revenge plot and while that may be a bit simplistic in terms of storytelling, it can be effective with the right character motivation. Hell, look at John Wick. In the simplest terms, it's the story of a man getting revenge on someone because they killed his dog. Yet, it's a good movie. Waifu Academy opens with a young man going to a new school. We soon find out that the previous principal/headmaster was the MC's father. According to the MC his father was wrongfully accused of sexual misconduct with some of his former students. This accusation leads to the MC's father attempting suicide and left him in a catatonic like state. Now, the MC has returned to his father's former school and is attempting to gather information and get revenge on those that wronged his father.

This is a simple and fairly easily digestible plot to get behind: find the bad people and get revenge. However, the creator/writer of this game decided to throw in supernatural elements and this is where I start losing interest. I don't inherently have an issue with supernatural elements, but when they seem to be shoehorned into such a grounded premise then I can't help but think that it sticks out like a sore thumb. It would be like if Bella from Being a DIK turned out to be a ghost or something. Sure it would be surprising but it would also make me say "What the fuck? Where did that come from?" At one point the school nurse appears to be a succubus but then the writer back peddles from this conclusion without any real explanation for what she can do. All of this is my long-winded way of saying that I feel like the supernatural elements of this game don't mesh with the grounded "realistic" parts of the story. Also, as a side note on the story, there are quite a few times where the MC does something incredibly stupid like trusting Yoko at the pool and having his clothes stolen by her. Despite the fact, we're lead to believe that the MC is this incredibly intelligent master manipulator. You, as the player, are often at the whims of so many other characters that it's not even funny.

Speaking of the story let's move on to some of my issues with the characters or more specifically the lack of interaction between the MC and a lot of the characters that have been introduced thus far. Waifu Academy has a ton of characters and there are quite a few of them that I like. However, it seems as though (at least with the options that I've taken in the game so far) I'm always interacting with the same handful of characters. Here's a shortlist of Waifu's that to the best of my knowledge do not have sex scenes:

Yoko

Brooke

This is by no means an all-inclusive list of characters without scenes, quite frankly, I'm too lazy to list them all. Also, in the interest of being fair the names with asterisks do have scenes but they are fantasies or dreams. Not actually scenes that take place in the reality of the game. My point is that there is a large cast in this game and despite the fact that this is the 0.8 release and assuming that 1.0 is the release version, so many characters don't have routes or even a point to them. Let's take Motoko as an example. Although I like her as a character so far she seems rather pointless. She's sweet, caring, nice, and perfect Waifu material but she's had very little real interaction with the MC. There are a ton of other potential Waifus that fit this "I like them as a character but the MC has had almost no contact with them so what's the point" profile that it really makes it seem like this game is really in a 0.5 state and not a "this game should be almost done" state.

Also, this game just loves to cockblock the fuck out of you. There are numerous instances of this but the ones that stick out the most in my mind are: There is a point where the MC gets Yoko alone in the pool and instead of giving Yoko time to shine she runs off with your clothes. There's also a scene in the girl's locker room where through a series of fortunate events the MC ends up in the shower with either Kayane, Motoko, or Rikuna. If you end up in Kayane or Motoko's shower then nothing really happens. Of course, if you end up with Rikuna then you get to have sex with her. But let's be real, to my well-trained eye Rikuna just isn't Waifu material. If you pick Kayane or Motoko then you've just cockblocked yourself despite the fact that both of these characters haven't really had their time to shine yet. I don't understand this style of drip feeding content despite having a huge cast of characters to choose from. I know some people will argue that Motoko wouldn't have sex with MC with two chicks right there and I agree but Kayane? That seems exactly like the type of thing she would do.

Anyway, that's enough about being cockblocked. My point boils down to: I feel like there's so much unfinished with the game that I really don't think that it's as close to completion as a 0.8 game should be. I feel like with such a huge cast of characters the creator of this game probably bit off a bit more than he or she (let's be real probably he) expected. If 1.0 is going to be the release version and this really is 0.8 then I feel like either Waifu Academy will have a lot of loose ends or there will be a sequel that picks up where Waifu Academy left off.
So we've covered the story let's move to something a little bit easier to cover.

The graphics/renders. I'm going to break this into two separate parts: models and image quality. The models are great. For the most part, I can't think of a single Waifu that I flat out think is ugly. Of course, some of the Waifus are more attractive (Motoko) than others (Asuka). But overall, I think they look good and the creator of this game did a good job. However, the image quality leaves a lot to be desired. There are a lot of scenes in the game that have what I can only describe as artifacting (especially in dark areas of the image). I assume this is a result of heavily compressing the files in the game and despite the fact that the compressed size is over 3GB I would gladly have an even larger file size if it meant the images were of high quality.

Lastly, I'll quickly talk about the translation of this game. This is a large game and for the most part, the translation is pretty good. However, there are many noticeable spelling errors and grammar errors. With that being said, while these errors are noticeable they aren't so bad that you flat out can't understand what's going on. I've played games on here where translations were so bad that the dialogue was laughable. This definitely above average.

Overall, I'd say that while I do have my issues with the game it's definitely worth playing.

P.S. It was 9 months between 0.7 and 0.8 so if you're looking for a game with fast updates, then this is not the game for you.

This review is of 0.8.0a update of the game. The story is rather nice with a fair mix of different anime-style story elements. First and foremost, of course, is the harem/hentai element. But you have a mix of shounen and supernatural sprinkled in with a bit code geass like plotting going on.

The characters are diverse in their looks and personalities with some still needing to be refined but this will likely come when they get more screen time. There are characters you will become invested in such as for me with and others you are invested in wanting to destroy but that is a good thing. A good story needs people you want to hate but do not always get the upper hand on every encounter no matter how frustrating that can be. You cannot have true satisfaction with their ultimate defeat without suffering some yourself. I would highly recommend the game but be forewarned it looking like it could be a long term project but that isn’t a bad thing but if you want a game that is done already or will be soon you might be disappointed. That said there is already a lot of content in the game



Pros

• A good amount of varied characters
• Interesting story
• Animations are very well done
• Sound design is a hidden gem for this game
• A lot of options to go down darker paths or not if you so wish
• Looks to have branching stories implemented
• A good chunk of fetishes

Cons

• Music/Sound can go from very soft to very loud. Not a major issue but can be jarring at times
• Some of the choices don’t seem to do anything other than add a little bit of dialog saying no one is here leading you back to pick the only valid options. This seems to be less of an issue as the game has gone on in fairness
• You will get blue balled at times thinking you’re going to get an H-scene only for it to be interrupted or denied. Not a major issue for me as it adds to the story but for some, I can understand this could be a con if you are raring to go.

The best argument in a game so far. The planning of the characters it´s something to admire here. Everything of the plot falls into place and has a good dose of humor too. I will love more animations but the art style is very good and each character has its very unique traits.
