I'd really appreciate if all of you could stop shitting over AI. One even insulted the Dev. You get the game for free on here so why care about AI - the programming is still a lot of work. I wanna play that game but have a feeling that it got abandoned now.

I'd get that if the coding bit was fine, but it isn't. I for one can't do art for shit so I (kinda) get why some devs are leaning on ai for that. But even the programming parts in this game are abysmal. Just read my first comment on this thread...

It's true, that you don't need to be good at everything required for game development. Though you can't be bad at everything either.
The Game does not have a story or (as far as I can remember) music. The art is not made but generated. The gameplay is barely functional. (btw dev used Construct 3 so most mechanics were likely premade) There just was no effort put into it.
Also "it's free so don't complain" is a shit argument when this dude has a patreon.

I don't mind the AI for fap games provided that the art is acceptable. I have an issue with AI art in other uses but this is about my dick and my dick doesn't care. I also don't mind pixel art...

But I don't get why one would use AI to generate pixel art that's not even proper pixel art.

Looks good at a glance but you can easily spot mistakes only pixel art novices make. In general the art does not look like actual "pixel art", it looks like art that was downgraded to have bigger pixels. Pixel art is not just having big pixels, it's about conveying a concept using limited resources. Just making pixels bigger makes everything look too "busy" and "unclear" in some of the sprites. Whereas proper pixel art would have less detail at places, more details where it matters, cleaner lines where the jaggies are less apparent, etc etc.

Use AI, use pixel art, sure. But using AI to generate pixel art adds an unnecessary step that makes the final result worse for no reason.

I can live with the platformer aspect, but the text speed is killing me. Especially since clicking to speed it up instead just advances to the next set of text.

Save file and gallery file are in

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\WaifuIsland2\User Data\Default\IndexedDB

They are in two folders with long and weird names like
chrome-extension_bempimaccjnpkcabbgaciblkgaimgmke_0.indexeddb.blob
chrome-extension_bempimaccjnpkcabbgaciblkgaimgmke_0.indexeddb.leveldb

My full save (i think?) is attached. Unzip the files and either replace whole contents of ...\IndexedDB with my folders or if your .blob and .leveldb folders have different names then just replace their contents.

Anybody else can confirm whether it's complete? Screenshot of gallery below I'm wondering if something supposed to be in that last blank spot.

During my gameplay I couldn't find any use for box of wine from vending machine. All other items were usable at least once but not that one. Maybe that's whats missing.
