Unity - Abandoned - War of the Orcs [v1.0.9] [Ripe Banana Games]

Probably one of the biggest disappointments I've ever seen on this site. It's an idea with fantastic potential -a porno version of Heroes of Might & Magic III, one of the greatest strategy games of all time- but it's an unplayably-broken mess. In the very first combat, my units bugged out and became unable to attack the enemy, forcing me to just sit and defend and only win by counterattacking. There's also multiple poor design choices- you can't upgrade your stronghold unless you're inside it, you can't scroll the map away from your character so you have no idea where you're going as you explore, and nothing is properly explained (if I wasn't a HoMM3 veteran I would have been completely lost). I didn't even get as far as the porn- I just gave up VERY quickly and deleted it because it was so frustrating. And it'll never be fixed or improved because the developer abandoned it quickly. It's a shame, but it's not worth wasting time on.

What miniscule content there is, stinks to high heaven of mediocrity and lack of any understanding of game design. I wasted hours trying to find any redeaming qualities in this game, and found none. The art is unoriginal ripped assets clumsily hacked together. The "combat " if you can call it that, is incredibly slow, and after completing all of the content, I still don't understand why you cannot attack most of the time. The turn based travel system needlessly slows the game to an absolute crawl. DO NOT PLAY THIS

Pros:

-Battle System
-Orcs vs Elves vs Human world with monsters

Cons:
-No sex scenes, just sloppy photos
-The game crashes before, during and after some battles
-Each move the game freezes
-The map is small and poorly designed

Resume:
If the dev is going to add only sloppy sex images i would rather play Heroes of Might and Magic or Total War Series

There is indeed some cheap 3d porn in this cheap, unstable buggy Heroes 3 knockoff.
Just go read something on 8muses instead and spare yourself the frustration of an overly-ambitious and poorly implemented Unity garbage fest

This game has a ton of bugs and the grind due to the recruitment system is very not worth the few CGs that are included in the game. It takes forever to build up an army and the battles themsevles are fairly flawed when it comes to balance. I also found no way to split up a stack of units which becomes a huge pain as the combat system favors multiple stacks heavily. I really like the idea behind it but it just wasn't very fun.

The game play is alright and the sprites are excellent. It's strange then that the only sex is still images, which are almost worse in resolution than the sprites!

I found a glitch (as of this review) where you could get free Rouges once you cleared the spider nest. Without that, I'd have not finished the game. All the enemies increase as your population does. Which means if you don't hurry and clear, (or don't find a glitch) you may not be able to finish the game!

And what's the point of the character items. (It's army wide stat increases) He doesnt register on the battle field at all. ... I'd have rated this lower except, I don't want to discourage the creator. It's got potenial...

This is an edited review after I played two versions.

In the first version, combat bugged so bad the game became unplayable.

In the newer version, this was mostly fixed. And only untill the end of the campaign I came across combat bugs again.

The gameplay is really refreshing for a sex game. It is a fun game to play, even without sex scenes.

I found combat hard at first, but learned to pay attention to quest rewards, and building the right order of structures. I also found out that most buildings/objects in the game world can be interacted with (very tiny click boxes), giving options and rewards.

And so I reached the end of the campaign, en kinda liked it.

Important: This is not an easy Fap game. There are not much scenes, you gotta do a lot of fighting to get the scenes. But the scenes that are there, are sexy: elf and human slaves, and female submission.

But if you want this for just that you will be dissapointed, I found maybe ten scenes in hours of gameplay. The game has potential. But if it wants to be a real lewd game, the makers should add far more scenes, more follow up scenes from the ones that are there, and give the atmosphere of brutish orcs raping, enslaving and using females more body and content.

Still, compared to most games on f95, this stands out as a fun, challenging game to play.

Positive:
-The game is quite interesting for those who like this genre of game (I am among them)
-Good story!
-Good graphics (according to me)

Disadvantages:
-Very hard fights and that's what is a huge minus for the game
-Very short last update. In my opinion, the next update (if there is one and I hope there will be one) should be much longer.
-In my opinion, pregnancy should be included in the game in addition to the existing ones. I think that would round off a very interesting story and suffering for those who tortured goblins and orcs .


The game is interesting but there is a lot that can be improved. I look forward to the next update! Lots of support for the creator of the game!

Neat idea, amateur implementation.

Pornwise not a ton or quality lewd.

Graphics are dated but not bad. Reminds me of basic early 2000s games.

Gamewise: Character stats are not explained. Do you even have a character? What does equipment do? Units get one movement action instead of movement points so be careful how you click, units can be given impossible orders which breaks the game. In fact a lot of things make the mouse disappear and warrant a ctrl alt deleted shutdown.
Is there any point to attacking from behind or an angle? What are unit ribbons and horse shoes for?

Overall there is potential but as a programmer I have to say this is an early rough edition. My advice is testing to break and in game descriptions /documentation. If the dev sticks with it, this might be kinda neat down the line.

Heroes of might and magic mixed with goblin slayer.

Gameplay is basic, but expansive, with room to grow, but enjoyable, also different. Different is good. Its not grindy. The few choices that you have actually matter. Example; you fight wolves, but when you go out again, you get a decision to slaughter the rest of the wolves or feed them. Feeding them gets you some wolf troops at the cost of gold, killing them, kills them, not sure if you get money or xp. I saw right through the choice, but its nice regardless, can be built upon I feel to be more interesting.

I wasn't joking about the goblin slayer mix btw. 1/3 of the demo(?), is literally you hunting down a guy who killed a bunch of goblins, who also lives on a farm. He also rallied the farmer people against you. After you win you give the daughter to the goblins that do sick shit to her.

In summary. This is the kind of monster game I was hoping for, or at least close enough. You play as a non human that rapes and pillages. And for that its a 4 star from me.

So this is my review of the game.

Pros:
-Smooth gameplay
-RPG elements
-Actual managed Combat rather then quicktime events
-A good amount of content already

Cons
-Tons of gameplay bugs.
-Text is slow to appear on screen and spacebar skips rather then displaying the text first
-There aren't many unique renders most are reused assets
-Items for sale are random as are drops which means to get the outfit you want save scumming is the only option
-The MC gets very little action he mainly shares the women with his tribe those that like to get immersed into a MC will find it off putting
-some of bugs are game breakable

It's a 4/5 because despite all it's flaws to me it was a fun play and a good effort. It desperately needs to be polished and troop management needs to be fixed (I had to use cheat engine to fix troops not displaying). Hopefully the dev does because it's not that far off from being a 5 star game and everyone of it's problems are fixable

An execellent project start! This game features an already functional battle system like the HoMM series on different hex grid maps.
For this part alone, I do love the current build.
It's first few lewd pictures are very well done and themed to the raiding orcs scenario!
I can not wait to see what this game will become someday!

Not a whole lot of content yet, but enough to get a good sense of the game and I love what I'm seeing so far: good dialogue and storyline, and the art is pretty good as well. Even aside from the smut this game is fun to play.
