RPGM - Completed - Warlock and Boobs [v1.000.2] [boobsgames]

Good game, I was just kinda disappointed/misled with the animation tag. It DOES have SOME animation, but most of it is basic tiny pixel art. I don't think I've seen all the content (in fact I definitely haven't, turned off all gay and futa content, but I probably am still missing some straight content) and I've only seen one half-assed proper (lol) animation scene (or what I would consider to be a proper scene) with the nun.

Beyond that, the game is actually really good. Love the characters, I'm a huge sucker for humongous bigger-than-my-skull titties tho, so that may be swaying me. If the dev went back and added even 2D animation to the art (like just sliding some layers around in photoshop or some BS) that would do wonders imo.

It must be said, I did HEAVILY use the cheat room after about an hour of playing (as of v0.337.1, the cheat room is located in your basement, go to the bottom right corner and select the wall). If I did not have that cheat room, I would likely be very frustrated with the tedium in making progress (seriously, the dev wants this game to take FOREVER, but not for a good reason). However, cheat room saves the day.

Love the fact there are futa characters. I'm really hoping we get to see Rose's dick size potion as an option for the whole game, maybe a give Eric the boobs potion option, and maybe a dick potion for any of the female characters in the game

I'm suspect to say anything since it's my favorite hentai game so far, and it isn't even finished yet, this game has potential to be a masterpiece and I'm very proud to be helping this game to be finished. BoobsGames have a incredible talent and his art is fucking amazing and is capable to turn on anyone who sees it, anyway, this game definitely is worthy of your time and your money if you want to help.

Love the art, the story, the game. Really do wish there was more content. It seems like the story didn't progress for a very long time. I understand, the creator might be taking it slow for some reason, but I really do hope to see more content for the game soon.

For me this is the best game, it allows you to choose everything that depends on the sexual options of the character, the game is so well done at this point that you can go alone discovering each sex scene without difficulty, which is good. The only thing that is missing now, but it is understandable, is the lack of control over you role in a homoaffective relationship

The art style is pretty great and the gameplay does not feel repetative and grindy at any point, its also straightforward enough that you won't be completely lost without a walkthrough. Also has a nice amount of anal which I'm a fan of and all gay stuff can easily be turned off which is also a great since I feel unavoidable homo stuff would've been a deal breaker for most people, including myself

The art is killer. Straight content, gay content, monster content, it's all beauitfully rendered. Though, if you're dead-set on disabling gay content, do understand that you're getting...ehhh...65% of the total sexy-art-value for the same amount of grind. I believe this has led many to ciritique aspects of the relationship progression. I did not personally find it to be all that troublesome as there are plentiful 'free'---meaning they don't move time forward---mini-scenes scattered around most days for every time of day to keep your britches tight. Ultimately, I think it's critical to make yourself a rough daily schedule to min-max multiple relationships forward every day. Once you've got a few kettles boiling, unlocking art for the fringe characters becomes less a chore. Just don't expect to have the town in your pocket (errrr be in THEIR 'pockets') on night one.

The main quest is a bit unfocused for the time being. There appears to be no overarching goal for the main character, but instead a series of small, self-contained, adventures that develop Krowly's relationships with the townspeople. Think Stardew Valley but...boobs. I have no problem with this and I think it plays into the setting and relationship system well enough.

There are a few mechanincs that feel a bit underdeveloped at the moment. I would love to see more with food recipes and alchemy; maybe some exotic semen/milk collection quests. Could use more variety of creatures in the forest with a pinch of beastiality (or a fistful). More outfits would be great (you've only whet my appetite with the cheeky black lingerie!)

Overall, I've found this a very enjoyable game so far and look forawrd to more top-notch art additions and character resolution in future updates.

The dev keeps implementing "unneeded" illustrations...The main story line progresses in baby steps...if at all...

The dev is all over the place...people on patreon keep voting on wrong scenes derailing the game...Sphincter fingering of Allice for which there are already multitude of other events...Who the hell needs a portrait of old man Jason...Instead make a scene were he fucks Alice.
It feels like a hobby of some sorts. A buck on the side to earn extra cash instead of a major project.
Personally i feel like he intentionally doesn't want to do the scenes i feel are needed. Vaginal with Alice, Krowly fucking other futas, Mabel fucking other girls, Better succubi who fuck other girls, foursome of Alice, Astra Krowly and Eric. Remember the elf muse Elizabeth? What about the gyaru medusa priestess... You see?
Instead he does bukkake with fairies, more handjobs, titjobs etc.
What is the dev waiting for? He created this rich setting, oozing with sex just waiting to explode and doesn't do anything.. A whole village waiting to be filled with hot carnal scenes of debauchery. Instead we get anal fingering and ghost blowjobs.
The writing is...short...this additionally makes me ask why just not draw more sex illustrations...
Also there could be mechanics implemented to improve the village. Krowly, Eric, Rose and Jaina could venture out. Save and bring girls with specific professions to help develop the town. Helping Fina with expanding the town. Lots of potential for writing. Any story. The game is crying for it.
You probably think im exaggerating...the problem is this thinking of mine exactly came from this lack of content within the game that is so conspicuous.
What could help? Create good chemistry betwen the girls and Krowly . Intertwining relationships that progress the village life. Something spicy like Alice getting mad at Krowly over Juliette and fucking behind his back. The foursome i mentioned earlier. Krowly fucks Astra so Alice fucks Eric and makes the other two watch. Young people exploring their sexuality. And slowly expand from there.
Make a better use for gold. Krowly and Eric buying clothes, jewelry for other girls (nice mechanic there). The adventures should be means for gaining relationship points with other girls. Give them stuff you acquired instead of slow grind. Give herbs to Carla etc.
The dev should concentrate on one event, quest, girl. Finish one thing from the beggining to the end. Not do several different at a time. That's the biggest, current flaw in the game.
Positive. The only fond memory i have is the Fina quest.
Also you can tell the village is breathing and living on its own with the multitude of characters it has. For each time of day on top of that. That is an achievement. They are working and having time...except for me the player.
In the end as usual the storyline and writing are most important.

As far as lewd RPGM games go, it's not bad. There's a multitude of problems with grindiness but thanks to the cheat room, you can ignore most of that. There's a lot of scenes to access, each of the characters have distinct personalities, and there's even a couple slightly out there fetishes. Loads of room to grow too.

Just as others said, Art is great, scenes are hot and characters are fun and diverse, but the gameplay is what brings this game down.
1. There is a lot of grind, by that i mean there are are a lot of things to grind: relationships with everyone, ingredients, potions, gold, etc. and it all moves time forward + some grind can't be done in wrong time block.
2. Time blocks are painful, frustrating, make this game confusing and slow and require you to read a walkthrough.
3. Walkthrough is fan made for one of earliest versions of the game on this site 1,5 year ago, now it's almost completly outdated.
4. Development is pretty slow, don't get me wrong, updates are not that small or don't take too much time to wait, but there is so much in this game that the content of an update is spread too thin over various systems, events locations and characters.

I had to use cheats to skip majority of grind and speed up the game, even with cheats though i was unable to see quite a few events because i'm required to be in a specific place at a specific time in a specific day.

9/10 art-visuals
8/10 content-creativity-sex content

3/10 gameplay (it really gets in the way and is a massive and long speed bump in pacing between sex content, however i like some of the ideas in the gameplay and how they interact with the content like having to get 3 used panties for the succubus but the numbers, repetition and grind are horrible)

i played this with save editor so it eliminated the grind. i really love some of the ideas like the mouth-titty thing is something that's really different but still really hot. the drawings are amazing. i kinda wish personally the nun was the 1 character who doesnt show cleavage and you can just see she's chesty in her nun outfit (and of course you'd get to see her boob naked later on). i do think there are some missed oppurtunities in terms of story/sex content but some of that might be saved for future updates, some of it might just be missed oppurtunities. i like the voiced dialogue lines. the voices are attractive and the lines are sexy. i do have a critique over the sex content scenes being rather short and they're all kinda the same length. i think the game would benefit greatly from a few more frames during the sex scenes and having some scenes feel longer than others. also, i would've really liked to have seen some visual with the slime girl when she eats the MCs ass. at first i actually like that it's just text and leaving it to the imagination. i think it's actually hotter like that but i was kinda hoping that the scene would finish with a still of maybe her sucking off the MC when he ejaculated after she ate his ass. i do think some sleep stuff could be fun too.

i do look forward to future updates because the actualy scenes themselves are pretty damn good and they feel inspired. i do like the atmosphere of the game and the feeling/anticipation of finding something promising in the crappy sprite form hoping i'll get to see a higher res visual in the way this game achieves that relationship between the sprite models and the higher res drawings. i also like the general idea of ecchi tasks for progress (whereas some games the tasks or requirements feel completely un-sexy or unrelated, like they have no influence on the sex scenes when they come). i like that the game kinda achieves some level of adding "weight" to the sex scenes thru the context both in story and gameplay but it just seems like those things could really be improved to both be streamlined (less grind/down time) and more effective (knowing what really amplifies a sex scene).

i also really hope there will be futa on girl content in the future. i'm glad i can skip the futa on guy stuff but i was also really disappointed i couldnt see any high res scene of the girl sucking the futa's dick behind the inn at night and there wasn't any other futa on girl content, at least so far.

Short review: a game with amazing art (however, a significant portion of it is gay), mediocre story, and (no longer) terrible grind.

Long review

The good:
Art is an easy 10/10. I am certain that if it wasn't for the quality of the art, I would have never returned to this game. It is undoubtedly the saving grace of this game and sadly the only part that truly stands out as being impressive/great.
Characters also have actually unique character traits. While this might sound somewhat ridiculous plenty of RPGM games actually lack that so it's nice to see consistent characters.

The meh:
The story is relatively non-existent, so in a way, it's neither good nor bad.

The bad:
Good god are there a lot of issues with this game. Before starting I'd like to say that the most discouraging part of all the issues is the fact that they have existed since the very start of the game and essentially NOTHING has been changed to reduce the problems. The most obvious flaw of the game is the grind. Man, its bad, real bad. RPGM games often run into difficulties with balancing grind but this is the perfect example of how NOT to do it. Example, for a specific scene you need 40 points. Doing something with the person gives you 1 point. Reminder that the game has morning, evening, and night times meaning 1-3 points per day so on average 20 days to grind. That is a lot of irl time for ONLY 1 character.
Quests are ruined by the poor combat mechanics. Only specific events give you exp so it is impossible to farm a little in order to pass the quests quicker (once again adding to the already grindy gameplay).
Some scenes have % of happening. Who would ever think this is a good idea ? Going to the same place (at a very specific day and time) multiple times is not fun, which once again adds to the grindy and slow gameplay.

Overall the game could actually be good if certain changes are made. It has the art, the ok exploration-focused story, unique characters and constant updates. However, after 2 years of development, there isn't a single indication that the correct changes are being made since not a single issue mentioned has been fixed or has even been close to being fixed. The development appears to be entirely focused on new scenes and quests, rather than the improvement of the game's playability meaning I do not see this game ever being better than a 3/5, though I hope to be wrong.

Edit: forgot to mention that for your own sanity you're basically forced to cheat which to me, immediately caps the game at average (3/5) at best.

2nd Edit (played version 0.354): Well, I'm happy to say quite a few things were fixed. You still have to cheat but the cheating is done in an in-game room and the whole process is really smooth. Moved up to 4/5.

P.S It's a shame that gay content is not just a small fetish but instead, a major portion of the game, meaning for a lot of players significant portions of old and new content is useless. A female MC for this game, in my opinion, would have been better.

Probably one of the worst gameplay in games, it is mind numingly bad how frustrating how most of the game is designed.

For example you go out of the city and get stomped by some slimes constantly, and when you beat the slimes you don't even get any experience.
The only way to get experience is by doing quests and certain action.
It's pretty bad when quite a bit of your spells/attacks miss and certain enemies can literally make it so you can't even do anything.

The only thing keeping this game from getting a 1 is the art which is quite interestingly done.

Just feels like the game is added on with unnecessary stuff in terms of progression.

While this game is full of some very attractive art, especially in the sex scenes, it's also full of weird dialogue, mind-numbingly tedious and weird gameplay, unwinnable fights that are apparently required to progress, and just... so many futas... why always with the futas...
Basically, Iike the Boobs part... not so much the Warlock part.

Great art, horrible gameplay. The grind is horrible, even on rpg standards, you can cheat but whats the point? If a game requires you to cheat in any way for it to be bearable it's not a good game. The game "mechanics" suck big time, the story is actually really good but it all goes to the trash when paired with the grind and horrible encounters with enemies(attacks miss more than they hit, even on higher levels... WAT?). Honestly the only really good thing in this game is the art and even that is ruined by the atrocious so called "galley", which is an embarrassment of a galley

Not so much to say. The dialogues are probably the worst I've ever seen and the art is not specially good.
They hmmmmmm... did like... make it in a way so you really have to make an effort to get new art/dialogue (I understand this is just another way of making a game so it didn't affect my rate) and after all that effort for sure it won't worth it, really, the developer not being happy with the very slightly length of those dialogues decided to make it a bunch of empty conversations and inappropiate/unrealistic shit. Maybe the main idea of the game is good.

The game is very good and enjoyable. It's good to see it growing with every update and has multiple fetishes for everyone. Plenty of content to be entertaining for a while. Great use of images and gifs to complement the text. 10 out 10 and thank you for posting the game and keeping it free for everyone.

Let's start with the positive: the art is fucking great, which is kinda obvious. And I can tell that characters behind it are written distinctively yet very concisely, to the point. It's not the kind of game which bombards you with massive amounts of pointless text or descriptions, no. Small number of dialogues it contain is a joy to read.

In the current v0.335.5 state the game has plenty HOT lewd scenes already and they're definitely worth the struggle. What struggle? If you're familiar with RPGM games then you're probably know what am I going to say: grind. There's no more suitable word for it; we're talking about +1 to RP after talk with NPC once per day and to get a bj you have to raise it up to 30 stuff. It's simply tedious and jarring af.

I rarely use any cheats in games but this is a perfect case for doing exactly that: use online save editor for adding gold/XP/RP and search thread for enter point to in-game cheat room in order to stacking "lust". There're ways to stack it otherwise but former is a simply faster way to do it. And by doing all of that, you'll improve experience. Unfortunately, some scenes are locked behind very specific conditions (time, stats and even % to proc).

Overall, if dev would have cut grind aspect lets say at least tenfold and would make content more accessible in general - it'd be a very good game and I'd rate it higher if not straight 5*. But for now - this. However - go try it, cheat, enjoy.
