This game is of to a good start, but it's not perfect yet. The FMC and the MC are pretty likeable expect for the supposed badass MC doing yoga? Wtf is up with that? The ''daughter'' is really cute en hot at the same time, like her too! But some characters are really not my cup of thea, like the feminest lesbian who molests you while you are trying to take a shower? My god woman fuck off! The rest are fine i guess.. Renders are really good looking and the story is good. You can shape the FMC and MC to what you want, like kind or bad, sub or dom and i like that but will we play as the FMC again after this intro? I don't know but i would like to. Some things could have been better i my opinion though, like for example: Don't auto advance the dialogue EVER! I really hate when they do that since i am not a native english speaker and can't read the text that fast. Speaking of the english in this game, there are quite a few spelling errors that even i know are not supposed to be there and schould be fixed in the future. QTE events are fine i guess as they are but keep them as they are now, simple and easy, and i think anybody will really have a problem with them. Like i said overall a good start and looking forward to future updates!

Did these 5 star raters even play the game? unlikely.

This game is best summed up with the word pathetic.

The characters are all utterly pathetic, the men are so emasculated its embarrassing one talks about being an empath completely unironically. Im sure at some point 'he' will tell you about energy crystals and esssential oils.

The MC is an absolute pathetic cuck who has never experienced women and thinks it's cool to be a yoga guru. They try to make him seem like an action hero in a cripplingly unconvincing manner like only a pathetic loser would think

The naming is all terrible, character names and cringingly 'the community', whoa, sooooo mysterious and edgy. At one point utterly gross character shami or sharni (terrible font) and abuses the protagonist at the time and then forces you into a nasty shared shower scene, while at the same time making up some cringy feminist rant when you meet her

There are obnoxious pathetic minigames every 2 seconds which serve zero purpose as its basically all a kinetic novel. On top of that, navigation is utterly pathetic with all the zones hidden in stupid locations which arent obvious at all and the render/camera is often at weird 20 degree angles.

The writing as touched on above, is the absolute worst part of this pathetic game. Pathetic mc reminiscing on risking his life to get some motel art which makes no sense but shows how pathetic he is. Idiot daughter who can recognise a dildo but not a microwave. Edgelord group descriptions and constant thoughts on mc showing he is pathetic with no self control

The renders are ok. They dont seem to live up to the preview images.

    Wasteland Guardians
    Version 0.1 Review
    Playtime: About 2 hours

DISCLAIMER: Due to the early state of the game, I do not give out 5 star reviews until a game has proven consistency and has been given continued effort from the developer. This review will be out of a possible maximum of 4 stars until a couple more updates have been released.

    Quick Review Breakdown:
    3/4 Stars
+Enjoyable experience from start to finish
-Writing was decent, but had consistent grammar issues that need addressed.
+Gameplay is standard VN, with some QTE that did not detract from story
+Sexual Content was limited due to early state, but enough to set expectations towards positive future experiences.

As a big fan of the "post apocalyptic wasteland" genre of stories, this immediately caught my eye. After playing through all content currently in the 0.1 first release of the game, I was pleasantly surprised by this title, and am looking forward to future updates on it.

The writing and dialogue weren't exactly the most mindblowing or enthralling thing to read through, being quite simple at times, but it wasn't a negative experience reading through and I didn't feel annoyed by the writing, it was just fairly average.
However, that said, the writing loses a point from the overall score due to the numerous grammar issues it had. I know this is from someone who does not speak English as a first language, but it's still being presented to an English audience, so having a second person go through and correct the more obvious translation errors would have gone a long way towards readability. Overall, I still understood what was trying to be said through the "broken English" and I don't feel like the overall experience was degraded as a result of it, but it was consistent and common enough from start to finish that it really should have been addressed before release.

In terms of gameplay elements, it's a standard visual novel, and currently it appears to be a kinetic novel, although it's really too early to tell if any of the choices made in the first couple of hours would have had significant impact further on. That said, there is choice here that does seem to impact relationships with other characters and how specific events play out, however not enough to feel like a replay is worth my time to see other outcomes. The game has QTE prompts, but they hold no challenge and are more narrative than consequential. Certain QTE events do have direct narrative impact, and did not feel intrusive. Overall, no complaints with the gameplay's current state, and I think the minimal QTE added more than it typically does in most stories.

Obviously, this is a porn game at the end of the day, so how does the sexual content hold up? Well, its very minimal. There's also not a lot to this game. But so far there does seem to be enough to give us an idea of what to expect in the future. Choice did seem to play a role in the availability of the sexual content, but again, it's too early to expect much from it. In my reviews, if it doesn't present itself negatively, then it's a positive for the review. Thus, for the current state, this earns it another point.

In total, this gives the game a 3/4 star rating for the version 0.1 release. In the future, once the developer has released a few more updates, the final grading point will be consistency of updates over time and consistency of quality across updates.

I look forward to seeing more from this one!

I'm giving this game 5 stars although I think it deserves only 4. Someone else only gave it 2 stars for what I feel are BS reasons dragging the score down.

Tis game has an apocalyptic setup but so do quite a few other games, the premise is different and the characters and style. It's quite unfair to rate this based off of your feeling about other titles. It's also unfair to rate this based on the developers other titles and there current status. A review should be about the game that is in front of you not your personal beef with a dev.

The premise starts off strong and I am enjoying delving into this world. The switch from a Female Protagonist to a Male is a bit jarring as you have to get to know the knew MC from scratch. The Mini games are fine so far but they should be made to be skippable in my opinion, if you just want to view the story hit skip, if you want to play as the dev intended, then play the games.

I would drop this to 4 stars just for the annoyance I found looking around sets to find a small blue arrow or dots to click on to continue the scene. Most are easy to find but some are obscure and upset me. This is the initial release of the title so I am judging this on v0.1 I will continue to follow this titles development and update my score if I come across any issues.

    Good Luck to the Dev.

This is only the prologue but it is damn promising. Writing is fantastic. Plot is bare but shows ridiculous potential. Renders are phenomenal and female models are fire af. This one is gonna creep it's way to the top of a lot of "favorite" lists, mine included. When you know you know!

    Review v.0.1

So, there is another post-apocalypic game, and yes, it does use a lot of the tropes of the genre.

But, let's face it, Mad Max also predated Fallout, but both are great in their own right.

This game has potential to be great as well. The story seems pretty solid and well thought through, so far.

The renders are really good looking and, perhaps more importantly, fit the story pretty well so far.

There is one potential downside: there are a lot of minigames and that could be bothersome when we get to the point where there will be more sex content.

But still, overall a solid 5/5 from me!

This game is "inspired" by another, very popular post-apocalyptic porno game set in an arid environment. Furthermore it seems the dev put their other game on hold and made this, which should be a red flag for potential patrons judging by precedents in the adult vn industry. Support the dev by all means but also be aware what you are getting - or not - for your money.

Unlike that other porno game I mentioned, the worldbuilding in this game is spelled out through expositional dialogue without establishing any sort of stakes for the reader to latch onto. We get an "action" intro and then various characters tell us about a post-apocalyptic city-state with no interesting features. Graphics are okay-ish but nothing notable for 2024. The "action" scenes are packed with unnecessary but not overly annoying "minigames" requiring you to press keys very fast or in a certain order. A sandbox mode pops up out of nowhere for basically no reason. The PC is a lamer version of the one in that "other game"; likewise for the dazthots.

I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because it did not annoy me for the most part, but there's nothing to grab onto here. The only people who'd enjoy this game are ones who can't get enough of the "other game" and want more of the same. If you're not one of them, don't bother. At least, don't dl it expecting the new best thing on f95.

Its extremely early in the development (v0.1) but it look really promising. I will update my rating if needed in the future. For now I see the bases of a great game. Looking forward for future updates!

    Warning! A lot of mini-games.

One of the better first releases that I can remember.
The worldbuilding is great, and the world really feels dangerous and mysterious. The characters are well written, and all of them so far are pretty interesting. The MC is a total bad-ass, similar to the MC from Desert Stalker. The models are great, especially the smoking hot daughter. Renders are beautiful... I pretty much couldn't find a thing about this release that I didn't like. This has potential to be one of the best games on this site, without a doubt. Great job, dev!

One of the greatest game ever!
Great scenario, build up and graphics.
The build up is nicely done, with great action scenes where the QTF are the best in any game of the kind.
I'm hoping for plenty choices in sex scene and hopefully a "Desert Stalker" kind of open world after the prologue.
It's a great promise to become one of the greatest game around!
